I was interviewed for news years ago. They twisted everything my friend said in her interview, but I guess they decided no to with mine, so they printed noting of what I had said and only a picture of me with my kids where we were living. Soon after I went to a seminar with a leading journalist who was teaching how to avoid media pitfalls in interviews and such. ll the people there were top-notch and knowledgeable, I felt like a dummy next to them but he said I could pull off some of the stuff they warn against. I guess my dim-wit and big smile has it's advantages! hehehe :D

Figures they twist it to make or fit the story they imagine the public wants, heck whats wrong with to the point honest no embellishing facts.

It's annoying in so many ways, mostly that the media gets to decide the majority "opinion" because they don't print the truth, only their opinion of what is the truth or what is worthwhile. Like the endless supply of what the actors are doing/wearing/saying! When USA Today first came out many years ago, they had real-life stories (I don't know if they do that anymore) about every day people. I liked that. Not sensationalist, not skewed, just a story about a neighbourhood thing. Only the neighborhood was from anywhere (in the US). I don't read the papers anymore. Too horrific. and not really true, as shown recently on a national level.

Exactly,example the dang Kardashians and their trashy life. I could care less.

I really agree , I like stories of every day people. I listen to the news for half an hour and then just turn it to something else. Tired of negative press, if you ask me. The Press causes a lot of hard feeling between countries across the world, besides the leaders.

Congrats on the new grandbaby, and on both babies actually. They are beautiful and precious. OMG!!! I can't wait to have the first of my 2 new grandbabies. First one due on May, the second in June. I bet you are going to just spoil them to pieces.
