- I had no idea that's what a noisemaker was for! Wow! So interesting and makes so much sense! Thank you for sharing that!
I missed the announcement... Congratulations! Yesterday instead of hitting the "keep" button when I was putting my stuff in shops, I hit the "donate" and dumped 70 old ornament boxes in there. I felt the fool. Still feeling the pinch. I managed to grab 4-5 back from the donation center, but then I had to go, I spent (a VERY COLD) day and night at my son & daughter in law (they don't heat their house, and I am a Miami girl in climate orientation) in case they needed to go to hospital (she is overdue) so I could stay with their 2 year old. I haven't found any of them today :(
~ Yikes!! That is an awful dump of items.
Oh wouldn't it be great if it was a New Years Baby! :)
, that was told to me by my Mom whose Mom told her so assume a very old story in my family. If no noise maker we used spoons and pots!
.. hoping you get warm for the NY and have another baby around soon!
They don't use the Gregorian calendar so it would make no difference to them. But 17 years ago right around this time I went to the hospital to try to get them to induce. They said it was too early but 12 days later I gave birth to a very big boy (8.37 pounds) so they COULD have done the c-section 2 weeks earlier and spared me. ;)
Thank you. She is certainly ready. She was crying just before I left. :( Poor thing. The tension is huge. I don't think she appreciated being told about an old home remedy for inducing labour... ;)
That's an awesome trivia bit. Y'all are all very welcome.
Life is short... Count your Blessings, Love your family and friends and lend a helping hand whenever you can!

, Poor girl.. sounds like she is ready! Must be soon ;)
.. I was brought up with that idea and just assumed everyone did it. :)
~ oh wow!! I was induced 2 weeks early with my second daughter because I had preeclampsia and a 19 month old at home... she was 8.4lbs!! So glad I didn't wait another two weeks! lol It is tough being 'that' pregnant!
Fun to remember a generation away though :)
Maybe that's where the noisemakers at parties tradition started! (Yeah, she IS ready. Maybe tonight!)
ATrueHeart Ty for the horn blower, I will use it tonight. lol
