I DO AGREE ! But I am lenient with fictional characters, so long as one isn't underage. And it isn't unhealthy glares at people with their gross unhealthy ships RIGHT ? Like man, there are so many ways to bring the trope into modern worlds. Hell, there are ways to keep them pretty and white. Gay ? Trans ? Disabled ? IMAGINE THAT. I am so, so over tragic endings. Especially in lgbt+ stories. I don't watch many because of that (and because fantasy, sci-fi, supernatural, and horror are my preferred genres that never happen in lgbt+ films).

I stopped watching SPN after season 9, but I have kept up a bit and this season has had at least two, healthy same-sex relationships that survive and I think a third gay man that survives ? It can't possibly be because they hired on more women and gay men writers (or one of the writers at least writes really good gay characters in other projects from what I've read, if he isn't gay himself). But the main source of baiting is, naturally, still there.

Same, like, I want to watch it but I know I'll be pissed ? I just... I love the characters so much but I detest 95% of what the show does with them. And it's a show that caters to so many of my interests. Supernatural entities ? Angelic lore ? Pretty white men ? GOSH. I'm... I'm not even going to give them my money. If I watch, it will be in a way they can't gain my view. Like borrowing DVDs, or getting the DVDs from a thrift store. They are still queerbaiting, but they're showing more non-straight characters that survive and aren't gross stereotypes.
