Pretty much. Every time I start to see a lot of tweet notices from people I follow I get nervous that something else terrible is happening. The alerts all used to be that our fav went out in public and now there's more pictures/video - oh how naive we were this time last year.

Ugh - fuck those job honestly. Although bless Starbucks for being open all the holidays because a bitch needs her coffee. But I also tip more when the holidays roll around and I hope other folks do too. I agreed to work New Year's Day. That's it - then they sprung on me that we were having a 2 day sale instead of 1 day and I was like...cool cool, it's not like I have a fucking life or anything that doesn't revolve around you people right? Except the owner for that auction is dying and I couldn't very well be like "well too bad, find someone else" because apparently some small bit of my heart is still alive so I worked. One day I'll successfully destroy that last remaining bit.

yeah; i don't think anyone could possibly make any more fake celebrity death posts without it being in extremely poor taste (not like it wasn't before) and immediately believed. fucking hell, i saw a fake death post for rick astley either on the 31st or 1st of this month (spoiler alert, it was a rickroll) and i honestly instantly believed it because it wouldn't have surprised me at that point that someone else had died. /:

mmmhm yeah; having people work holidays and not immediately give them time off for them causes a lot of problems lol there's a girl i work with, Jay, and she stayed at work waaaaay overtime new years day (from 10pm the 31st all the way to like 4pm on the 1st) because she wanted another coworker, Solly, to have the holiday for her family (Solly had requested Christmas day off to spend with her family and the daytime manager made her fucking work that day, saying that they were short-staffed and needed the extra hands. like what the fuck)
