You lurker you! lol Oh, we were talking about being disabled and having to wait usually two years and sometimes more before they judge that you are disabled and you can start getting social security and qualifying for medicare and other programs that seriously help. The two years was a terrible time and I would definitely have been on the street and starving without the help I was given from family and friends and I will never forget it.

when I did the whole lawyer for disability thing he just took a percentage of the first check. Since that check covers back pay maybe it won't be so bad.

Dad is getting stronger and gearing up for surgery next week to get the last of the cancer gone. We are hoping he keeps improving until then.

Best wishes for your Dad! Yeah my lawyers were paid directly from SS a certain %, can't remember what anymore, and I got my check separate. But it was well worth every penny.

Does anyone know where in the Cash Shop the can be found? Its really pretty and I want it for a TC. I looked and looked but can't find it. I don't understand why in the Subeta Lodge it doesn't say exactly nor sends you directly to the item. Sigh. Had this prob a number of times.

Hope everyone is doing well in what I hope is only a temporary new normal. I'm trying to deal with a lot of anxiety I think mostly brought on by the constant up and down of what we are supposed to do plus worrying about mom and getting really furious at the stories of people who drove around, some even to nearby states, buying up masks and hand sanitizer and other goods and then sold them for 10x or more the profit until Ebay and Amazon finally shut them down. One guy in an artical I read, a man who already made like 25k before being shut down from selling online, said he was doing a public service. He really said that. I will need to do food shopping tomorrow or Tuesday and I'm just dreading it 'cause I figure so much of what we need will not be there because we only bought what we needed. We could probably go another week without shopping but it would be tight on some things and I have to pick up a couple prescriptions anyway.

Trying to start up exercising again now that the sun is back. Skipped yesterday as I was having trouble whenever my head wasn't supported because headaches are evil. Two out of three days isn't bad. Just shooting for ten minutes of moving

yeah hoarders and profiteers suck. So yeah dad is super stressed since not only is he worried about his health stuff but is distracting his worry to anger at the whole idiot situation coming out of the pandemic.

Morning to everyone I've read some of the back posts and see that your all having closings also. Schools are closed here until April 6th. That means no paychecks for all those teachers and my daughter is one of them. sigh. Personally, even though I know it's a bad virus, I think it's in panic mode which is crazy. People buying up everything and then trying to sell it to other people to make mega bucks. Very sad that people act this way.

Anyway, I hope all of you are well and stay safe.

I agree completely that the virus is bad, and we must take precautions, like not travelling to or from Europe, etc. But people are panicking which is making things really difficult and hard for everyone. We were able to get some groceries but there is no toilet paper to be had. I'm worried that if this keeps going like this, people are going to get desperate and looting and robbing people is next. And with many people at home that is scary!

That's horrible. I hope they are being treated well.

Did errands today. Had to pick up a couple prescriptions, go to the post office and then grocery shopping. Actually between two stores got nearly everything on our list minus cheese, chicken (got the last two split breasts I could find for soup but wanted a couple more), eggs (still have a dozen). No paper products, aerosol disinfecting sprays, or hand sanitizer to be found but hopefully things will start to calm down and closer to when we need it they will be there. My brother did get paper towels at Lowes yesterday. Also ended up getting larger versions of juice and milk than we normally would because it's all that was left. But man, if you want snacks they have plenty of those. First store wasn't too busy but by the time we got to the second it was dinner time and everyone was shopping. It was too crowded for my liking atm. Think it will take some time for my anxiety to go down again.

Our primary was today but they postponed it here in Ohio. I voted a week ago but my brother was supposed to go today. Not sure yet how they are going to handle it.

I'm hoping to not have to go anywhere there is people now for at least a week if possible.

That is sad. If I think I'm anxious now I'd be off the wall if my mom was in a nursing home/assisted living and I couldn't get to her. I saw some centers here in the states were setting up skype calls on an ipad. I hope that happens for her and her mom wherever they are. Not the same as in person but better than only through a window and on the phone.

I heard about the voting being postponed on the news. But I am glad you posted it because I don't believe anything the media has to say. They just lie so much.

It's actually another user with their mom on lockdown. The media in my area said that some states were considering postponing their voting. Glad to hear you confirm it!

Maybe you could suggest to the user in question that they try using Skype?
