True , they are just tedious LOL It's ironic how when I used to hardcore quest, I didn't BQ because I thought BQing was boring. And now that BQ (and actually have fun BQing), I find quests boring LOL

- true - but think about the shiny new battle equipment you can buy with the sP you earn from those quests. Maybe that will help. :-)

I still need to get those 400m I spent on the OHS (I had only saved up 50m for it haha) You're the voice of reason lol

You have defeated Raging Storm Sylph 10 times! You earned 9686 sP for beating Raging Storm Sylph! Chums earned 7000 EXP Points!

I broke down and coughed up the sP for Swashbuckle. What a difference a weapon makes- I went from struggling to get wins 4 and 5 to not really having too hard a time for the rest of the wins. Though I probably need to use my 1 week gold medal to try to make back that sP though. Natasha is so, so far away.

congratulations! I agree with you, one weapon can make the whole difference in the world! Swasbuckle is amazing, and it's constant % heal is great as well!

Good luck trying to recover the spent sP! I am doing trying to do the same with the ones I spent on my OHS.... and once I get there, it'll be a long way until Natasha :o

I'll recover the sP soon enough. But that'll probably be just in time to buy more books and book bags at the Millionaire Center next rotation. Buying expensive weapons only one pet will likely ever use in order to pummel one challenger into submission stings though.

That's true... the rotation isn't too far away... just a couple more months... EEK

Congratz on your wins and the new Swash! :D It's pretty cheap for what it does compared to other options, so it's a great buy. I also think it's expensive to invest in a solid weapon set, that's why I decided to keep more than one battle pet so that I have more returns from the weapons that I bought :D

I'll pay attention to the activation rate during BQs from tomorrow :D. The crit/ defence theory might need a lot of data to draw a pattern, I guess? I'll pay attention to those impossible challengers next time I run into them for this :D

Congrats!

I've been debating if I should just buy a Swashbuckle instead of waiting to try and get one from Item Hunt. I can manage to get to level 90 or so before Chase asks me for a ridiculous item. I might be better off just buying the weapon and then if I ever manage to get another I can just sell the extra...

in the end, I believe it's cheaper to just buy the weapon. If you manage to get it from Item Hunt, you'll be getting your money back, and then some if you're close to a battle event :P

I'm leveling a couple other pets, but I'm still waffling on if I should leave them parked at lower tiers. I should probably stop training pets to give away and focus on my own.

He keeps asking me for 39m sP items from the cash shop. I get ticked at the idea of destroying cash shop wearables to progress to the next level where he'll once again ask for a 39m cash shop item to destroy.

When CSC price skyrocketed that's pretty much when I decided I wouldn't want to complete 100 levels of IH anymore. Throwing hundred of millions into an achievement is not something I'm ready to do yet, plus if I bought the Swash I would make back that sP from doing IH every now and then, so I actually bought it.

It's really nice of you to train pets to give away to others :D Every time I adopted/ created a new pet and started training I grew attached to them very quickly so I ended up keeping them as permanent pets 😄 Plus I think even if you focus on Chums and take time with the others by casually training them they will still be able to battle and earn you some nice loot from challengers at their levels even if you don't read or invest too much into them. That's what happened with my smaller pets last event :D

You've completed 30 out of 30 quests today. Remember, they reset at midnight! Two days in a row! w00!

- Wow, Swashes are under 100mill? I'd buy one for sure. It'll be hard to complete the IH for that price, and plus, as said, you get the added benefit of still being able to do the lower levels of item hunter and making sP off those. You can make a good chuck of sP on the first 50 levels or so, but once you get to level 100, that's it.

I know, I'm not really willing to pay that much just for the sake of completing the thing.

And yeah , the 80 mil or so they're going for right now is the cheapest I've seen them in a while. I'll probably get one once I save up some more, I don't really have any sP to spare. But they are at a pretty decent price currently, probably cheaper than it would cost me to finish Item Hunt considering Chase likes to ask me for retired CS items once I get to level 90.

That's true too, I can make a decent amount up to level 70 or so depending on what he asks for.

That was Kbbob's advice- focus on my main pet until t13 when I think Chums is supposed to transform into an unstoppable juggernaut of meat and despair before which all challengers will crumble, then start doing battle quests with my next pet. Having other pets is still weird to me. You only need one.. unless it's to get more challenger loot!

I know. For some people having just one pet is enough. Just this time last year I had 6 pets and never thought to have more, but when I started training my pets that's when I couldn't part with them. Rather, I couldn't bear to part with the effort and time I put into training them. As for why I trained them in the first place, I think I did it out of habit. Just can't stop hitting that button in the training centre XD

I think I got one in trade last week or so for 60 mil. You can get real bargain through the trade centre if you ever want to grab one. With the CSC price going ever so high these days, I doubt Swash would be at this price for long.

I only started working on a second pet recently, but I'm going to keep it at tier 6. Only because for the last event boss challenger, they had one top prize for lower tiers and another for higher tiers. So I figure having one of each might come in handy for the future, but I probably won't actually battle much with my second pet except during events.

I only had one pet for so long, didn't really plan on getting a second pet until they released the chibi last year and the perfect name for it happened to be available. I understand not wanting to part with all the effort too.

And yeah, I'll probably try to get one as soon as I can before the price goes back up. I was going to save for an OHS or something first, but those are always in the MC so it can wait I guess.

Plus if you're growing it stats that will probably make up for the lack of god or demi-god weapons. It takes time, but it will happen :D (plus you beat Crithbolcan once outside of BQ and without OHS too, so you'll do fine against him in BQs 😄

That's a well-thought out plan with your second pet :D I'm having one small pet who will remain below T8 too for events and stuff :D

Welcome back to the daily routine of BQs :P

That's the reason I was thinking of parking one part at a lower tier. Plus it might be fun to use it with lower level challengers to see what they did rather than just steaming them over in a turn or two and missing out on anything interesting.

Even after training I'm not really attached, though drawing an overlay helps a bit. A couple people have been interested in Swear Words, so at least for my effort I'm fairly sure it'll end up with a new owner that will enjoy it rather than just pounding it again. The other two need overlays soon. T_T

Yeah I'm going to keep training and doing BQs definitely, so his stats will keep going up slowly but surely.

And yeah, I figured it was a good idea just to be prepared. I don't know if they'll do it exactly the same in the future but I feel like the last time around it was pretty fair. I also liked that they only counted your highest damage against one of the bosses, so that way you can just pick one of the times that works for you instead of having to fight all 3.

Lol that's a good point too! I don't tend to notice whatever abilities lower challengers might have that make them tough to smaller pets, especially when my pet can take them out in one hit.
