Fruit salad was a lot easier for me lol. Before I even looked at the weapon recommendation in that guide I was already using the trident and the charged tower shield. That blocked him off really well. The only very hard opponents left I need wins on are terrafirma and Filantous. I am still very early T8 so it might just be a matter of waiting until I have more stats but we'll see. Right now it takes away to do enough damage when they are at 6k+ health.

That's true, there were 'unbuyables' in there from time to time too. Still hoping staff will do something with it - I think the news post said the items would be kept, not deleted or anything, so we have to think positive.

Refreshing the page was completely my fault. I had opened a new tab to double check Merana's name and the angry terracoon with the "site is down" message popped up. I went back to typing my reply, then I hit refresh. I have absolutely no clue why I refreshed the page.

Yes! I love the colors from the 40's and 50's. I've found and saved color sample pages on Pintrest that are from that time period. I actually want to use some of those colors in my future home. The colors from the 70's seem more earthy too me. My grandmother had a lot of yarn that was darker shades of yellow, orange and brown. I didn't keep them because the yarn was too rough feeling. I keep the magazines as inspiration. Same for the patterns that I've been pulling out of quilting magazines. I've saved patterns that I like, but I've also saved photos of older quilts to inspire future projects.

I would love to ban colds and flu. There were more kids at school today who were sniffling and blowing their nose all day in class. One student was back after being gone with mono. My nose has occasionally gotten stuffed up, but its only been two weeks since I got hit with the cold.

Something does need to be to help out a bit with collecting zombie skins. I feel like last year, the stages didn't take as long as they did this year. They could make a potion that you drink or a bracelet or amulet you could wear that would have some kind of property that would speed up your progression. It could be sold in the Millionaire Center or at Skitters' shop.

I haven't viewed the new entries to the Subetapedia yet. That's something I need to do. I think some of the shop NPCs need a backstory. Was is last year or two years ago that staff was updating some of the NPCs and giving them a facelift? It felt like they did that for a few months then stuck it on the back burner.

It was a facepalm moment for me. I was trying to type out the response before my husband and I went out to run errands. I think I had meant to refresh a different tab. I ended up closing my laptop and retyped the response when I got home from running errands a couple hours later.

- wind around here swirls so things often go all over the place. Glad to hear you found (almost) everything. Wow - must have been some serious wind to rip off a window cling (although aren't those supposed to be on the inside of the window?).

As far as the battle talk, don't worry too much. When you're ready there is lots of help to learn better strategies. Let me know when you're interested, and I can tell you a few things about how to start improving. And all the serious battlers are very helpful. There are even a couple of useful guides.

- conversation won't become lost. Like real paper books, people eventually figure out that it is different than the alternatives and still has a place in their lives.

Those scones sound really delicious.

Board game party - I'll be right over! We love all sorts of games (and cards) here. One of our very favorite things to do. Add buffet and birthday cheesecake and it sounds like you will all have a great weekend. Which board games do you like to play?

Glad to hear your wheezing is improving!

- I try to have days when I'm not on the computer at all because, as a computer geek, once I'm on I often don't get off for hours! But since the Bathhouse, I've managed to get on at least a few minutes everyday - and, of course, I'm spending more time online than I want again. (Subeta staff is very smart!) But yes, real life has to come first and even the great stuff in the Bathhouse is all just pixels. Hope you are enjoying your offline activities. They're the most important in the end (except maybe for some online friends).

- I'm sure you'll get there. And, yes, that large challenger health is often my problem, too. I just don't last long enough to finish them off. Your better weapons help, but you still need to be able to survive awhile to defeat them. You've been through this before with your first battle pet and it should go faster this time around. I'm impressed with the progress you've already made.

Yeah, but when Amber said that they have no actual plans to open it any time soon so that makes me very sad :( I like looking at all the pretty stuff lol.

Oh it was insane! Thousands of people are still without power. I had to pick my Mom up from work and about half dozen street lights were out. That made the 5 street intersection very interesting. I thought I was gonna die. I just hit the gas and went for it lol. The clings do go on the outside of the window. Usually they just stick there. I have never had any ripped off the window like that and I put them up for every holiday. My trouble is all the weapons and scrolls. I need some really good T13 weapons that I can actually afford. The scrolls I just went with any that are expensive and hope they are worth it. Yay new challengers in the news! Well sorta new! New to me anyway :D

Good evening

omg just noticed snowball achievements are a 50mil investment overall lolol If I'd seen that earlier I'd have bought the survival fake cures xD

finished s4 of the bake off or s2 on netflix. My goodness, saw the episode you mentioned about Sue leaning. Can't help but notice Paul's sometimes colder when he's critiquing men. It's subconscious :P. There's a small difference in little things he does like being gentler with his critiques and those playful I'm not suppose to give you any tips but here's a helpful clue~ with the ladies. :) This show is so friendly, you could tell people are holding their tongue. The other Mary always had a look of "I beg to differ" when the judges would say something nice that wasn't about her bakes xD. There was something ingenuine about how close she claims she is with Ali. She doesn't know a thing about him. "He's... nice." you're nice, we're all... nice. _ I was rooting for Kim. When her wedding cake came out contemporary outside rather than floral/romance inspired for the picnic crit I knew the judges weren't choosing hers :c She's definitely higher skilled. I'm looking for more of that s1 tension + headbutting lol :D. Somebody, flirt with Paul again!

Thanks! Oranos is a different build than Verdugo. With Verdugo I trained all stats evenly until I got to 2500 even stats. After that I started boosting health. With Oranos I boosted health once he got to T6 so right now health is higher by about 540 stats I am trying to raise it even more to see if that helps me beat harder opponents earlier. I suspect that speed will start to become an issue.

- I hear battlers talking about build. I thought speed would be a priority since it impacts critical hits. Some of the biggest progress, at least at the lowest tiers, was when my speed finally got high enough that I stopped being killed by critical hits all the time. So I guess I see where that might start to be an issue, although having the extra health should certainly help compensate. I'd be very interested to hear how the new build works out for you since, so far, all my pets are being trained evenly and I'm guessing I need to make some sort of decision about that soon.

- I also got the new book - my first choice is almost always any book I don't have.

Sounds scary! Glad you and your Mom made it home safely. Hope all those people get their power back soon.

Hmmm, I have put up lots of window clings - some for holidays and some just stay all the time to keep birds from flying into the windows, but mine are all on the inside of the windows. I can see that they could go on either side, but, at least in our case, it's much easier to put them up inside. Still surprised that one would come off due to the wind, though. Sometimes it's hard to get them off even when you want to.

I agree. As near as I can tell there is nothing affordable about high tier weapons and scrolls. Even that wouldn't be so bad, if you only needed one or two of them, but you really need a bunch! My highest level battle pet just reached Tier 9, so I still have a way to go before even worrying about Tier 13 weapons (unless, of course, I find some that scale).

Yes, new Throwback Challengers for this month. New to me as well. I am really enjoying these monthly visitors to the Battle Coliseum.

Same! I love reading books to Talon. I was just lucky to get it. Of course I didn't have enough tokens, so I had to rush and buy some. Then of course I forgot to add it to my currencies, so I had to go back and do that.

Thanks :) It was! In a situation like that I always want a car next to me so I can go when they go lol. This time the car in the other lane decided to turn into a parking lot and was holding the rest of the traffic back. I was just like "Nooooo don't make me go alone!!!!".

I used to put them on the inside, but then I realized that you couldn't really see the pretty pictures from the outside. Then I just started sticking them outside. I normally keep my blinds closed anyway, so I only see them when I am outside.

One day I am going to figure out the scrolls and stuff! I love the challengers too. It is a great way to get the challengers that I would never even try to challenge before :D

- glad you were able to get the book after all that. Finally started to keep a certain level of tokens always in my currency and then replenishing them each time I buy just so I don't have any trouble when the Token Shop stocks or I make a lucky find at BHH. As for books, I love reading period. Subeta, real life, anywhere, I just love books.

Makes sense to me. I always put up the clings to see from inside, so putting them on the inside was best for that too in my case. Now I wonder how well the pictures can be seen from the other side of the window. Maybe I'll check sometime.

Scrolls are confusing. To me it seems really difficult to figure out which ones are the best in terms of cost efficiency. Weapons are somewhat easier. And yes, that's it exactly. With the Throwback Challengers each month, I have an incentive to go play in the Battle Coliseum every so often. Sometimes, I even do Battle Quests. :-)

I usually have a lot of tokens, but I have been vending like crazy lately so I can frag enough stuff to get the heart phone for my heart gallery :D

I just have a few scrolls that I use in all of my battles: The Void, Feather Explosion, Sonar Scream, Gale Force and Fatal Fire. There are probably better ones, but these seem to work for me!

I stand by my philosophy of 'poke the technology with a stick from afar'... xD

Ooh, if you can use the vintage colour scheme and the actual vintage items in the house, that would make a good display. Need a nice old fashioned book case or something to have all the magazines on.

Yeah, it's true, older yarns have a habit of being a bit more itchy-scratchy than modern fibres. But the colours can be the palette for the new designs.

Eek, keep fending off the germs. Let's hope the spring time brings up some healthier folks!

Yeah, if we can get 3 zombie skins a year and four new are released plus ones from previous years, there will never be any way to get all the options! I'm already pushing for boosters for the unpopular strains (I figure Confucius who does the 'under the counter' infections could give 'jabs' which work like bites to speed up the initial infection.), so some kind of 'buff' to decrease the length of the virus stages might be helpful!
Skitters shop might be a good place for that, or even trading in some candy hearts for it, I don't know.

Yeah, the Subetapedia is slow, but does keep getting some updates. There are a few characters (I think) without an icon on the lists, as the staff were due to update thaie character artwork at some point, so hopefully we'll see bits being done throughout the year.
And Lower Ziara!! I want to know more there...

Hopefully you're right, it's nice to sometimes do stuff in the real world.

However, we're in real world crisis mode today - due to the air traffic strikes in Germany, my other half is stuck there with his work colleagues! They had a conference on Thursday, but their Friday planes were all cancelled. So they are trekking across the country on trains and planes to try and get back to the UK!

Just in case he ends up issing the party at the weekend, we're brushing up on the King of Tokyo rules. Luckily, I was buying the party food, so no one has to go without snacks and nibbles. xD

Hope you feel better soon. :)

crosses fingers and toes We need them back!

Managed to pop online this morning and caught the TS restock, yay for: Nothing much else I want, so if I can catch another restock, I might try and get the book as a prize for the March contest.

Hope everyone is doing OK!

Criticals aren't too much of a concern as long as your health is high enough. More health means more healing per turn with %heal weapons and can help you withstand enemy crit hits. Of course once an enemy's crit hit attack is higher than your health, then you need to start considering defense or speed if your speed is close to your enemy's.

I decided the cut off for all of my smaller pets, except one, would be T6. Once they get to T6 I will start building them differently. I have a table put together for all my pets and what tier they were at when they beat different opponents. Unfortunately, Verdugo was already T11 when I started building the table so all of the opponents he beat at T10+. Oranos will be a better gauge since I have been tracking him when he was T6. However, his build is different so when he first beats opponents can be different from when Verdugo could beat opponents. That's why I am going to use another one of my pets coming up as an even build like Verdugo was to 2500 each stat.

- heart phone plus vending achievement progress, certainly sounds like a win-win to me. Hope you were able to get that phone today.

- oh no, hope your husband and his colleagues are able to find a way home. Hopefully, he will be back in time for the party as well.

King of Tokyo looks like a fun game. It's one I haven't every played, do you play it often? Nice to know that no one will be without snacks during the game.

Congratulations on snagging the Illumis Playset.

- good point about the healing weapons being percent of health. Guess I need to start thinking about that some. Definitely different from lower tier weapons that heal specific amounts regardless of your pet stats.

Wow - impressive planning. I'll be very interested to see what your results turn out to be. All that organization should yield some great data.

Since Tos is my first battle pet, I've just been training evenly. Not sure at all if (or when) I should stop that. Yet another variable to try and figure out as I go, although I've been told there isn't any really wrong way to have a high tier pet, so guess I can't get into too much trouble. :-) The math/computer side of me is inclined to just keep all the stats even unless I find some really compelling reason to favor some of them (that percent health heal will take some extra thought in that regard). And, of course, I sort of knew that there is a stat cap, but it has seems so far away that I haven't really even begun to think about how that should impact my training.
