Looking for a new thinking activity to exercise my brain. Any suggestions?

No clue. My brain is just mush most of the time lol. I tried some online games, but I get nervous and mess up. I am terrible when it comes to any kind of activity that is timed.

- I often don't like timed activities either. I'm looking for something that required me to think, like a puzzle of some sort. Or even a gaming site.

I am not really sure. Maybe look up "brain teaser games"?

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. Today was a discouraging start (the heavy duty framing kit was missing screws so I have to go back to the store that's 1.5 hrs away... another day). So my plans of trying to work on making the entryway, smallest area in the apart, comfier backfired royally. I'm just tired of things that are supposed to be simple becoming a nightmare saga. :S

At least things are looking up a little as of late afternoon. Landlord got in and he apologized for not getting the faucet. He had knocked yesterday, but so gently I didn't hear and when I knocked on his door he didn't hear. He came tonight and looked at the prob. This time he couldn't blame my hose since I put a brand new one. He's going to replace the faucet... if all goes well tomorrow. Nice change of pace considering old landlord it was a major issue to get someone to fix things. So tonight I finally was able to take my bath (waited part of the night yesterday for landlord and then was so tired fell asleep). I borrowed movies from the library so I can watch one in a little while. I haven't set up my projector yet, but I have a laptop I can play the movies on.

In other news... parents found out they're diabetic & high blood pressure. Dad's been trying out new recipes and discovered some cake recipes. Mom tried them and says she enjoyed them :) I'm proud they're making lifestyle changes that are better for their health... mom wouldn't do it on her own and Dad's healthier than her, but he's a trouper and the one leading the charge.

Lifestyle changes are always easier when everyone in the house gets involved and goes along with it. Nothing worse than being on a diet or something and another person in the house is eating everything in sight lol. I am too weak for stuff like that!

Sorry to hear you are still having problems with your new apartment. At least the new landlord seems to be much more responsive. It always takes some time to get settled in a new place, but then you will be able to just relax and enjoy.

Great to know that your parents are taking good care of themselves. And doing it together will make things easier for them both.

Not yet :( but I did get a lucky charms shake lol. It was really good except there were too many cereal pieces in it. I am not used chewing a shake.

For me, I skip the shake and just enjoy the Coke Iceee - a big favorite in my family. :-) Since they're the same thing, Coke Slurpees work for us too.

When I started having major digestive issues while at my parents, they didn't change their diets much... often times I would hide in the bedroom and wait until they were done their meals to come make my food since it was tough not being able to eat the same as them. I've been more careful what I eat for years now, but for them it's new. I have low blood pressure so what most must avoid I actually need to get more of lol.

I watched Batman vs Superman. The laptop doesn't play blurays so I had to quickly set up the whole projector system since 3/4 movies are bluray. I didn't feel like watching Selma last night and the doritos and popcorn were already in a bowl waiting mmm. I made a peach & banana shake. Add some milk, vanilla yogurt, water, brown sugar... and a bit of brandy mmm he he. I had some left over so I had some with cereal a little while ago, yummy :) It's a rare treat since I don't buy alcohol, usually get a bit as a gift here and there so it's quite rare that I can splurge in that way... but I needed a bit of perking up.

Today I'm retackling the dryer hose. I lost count of the days I've worked on that blasted thing, but it's a lot. The plastic one I have was wearing out and it was recommended I get a metal one. One Canadian Tire had most of the items I needed but was missing a few so I had to go to another one (another day). Then some pieces were giving me issues so had to return a 3rd day to swap things. Then there are the days I was behind the washer and dryer wanting to swear and in a lot of pain, things not cooperating. When I finally thought it was done and pushed it back, one of the tubes split so I had to replace that part. The laundry area was built small and there are supposed to be doors but the machine with the hose takes too much room. I got permission from the landlord to cut the metal part of the wall so I can gain a few inches... now installing everything but took a break. Ouff I'm exhausted and I couldn't find all of my tools so that didn't help.

If all goes well, eventually I'll have a system that cuts drafts from outside, lets hot air vent in during winter, and have everything working... at least that's the goal.

The faucet might have to wait until tomorrow since I have a picnic tonight, signed up almost 2 months ago. Looking forward to seeing friends from my "old" neighbourhood... still feel isolated here. I know, it'll change with time but for now, it's me & Gismo... and movies B)

Have a wonderful time at your picnic. You will make new friends where you are, but it takes a little time, and it's always nice to keep in touch with old friends too. In the end, you will have even more friends than before - and friends are the best! :-)

Unlocked Error? What error?! Defeat General Error 10 times in battle! Finally! That guy was a total pain in the butt! I also got a Psycho Smasher Scroll. No clue if it is any good, but I am hoping it was worth it lol.

I heard some horrible reviews but was curious what they made of it. I found it ok but not a movie I'd want to see twice. Wish they had more Wonder woman :D Dorothy has been there a few days at least, rocking it by the way ;)

Picnic went ok but preferred last week. Didn't get to bring home leftovers and some people that aren't regulars behaved improperly by trying to reserve seats when they aren't supposed to. I also winded up taking 3 buses and a metro ride plus some walking to get there, ouff! I took an "easier" route home, just 2 buses and a metro... still pretty long.

Today was one of those days if I had to redo, I'd definitely do things differently x.x I managed to move the rail for the laundry doors so if all goes well they'll fit when I get them from the landlord. Then I had planned a short visit to my old food bank and go to a nearby mall for several errands I had. Well, a lousy bus driver caused probs and escalated a situation that started with a simple refusal of lowering the bus when I asked... long story short, I tried to take a pic of her so I could describe her better (something we are usually asked if we want to file a complaint)... she tried to take my phone, my cart fell and she lowered the bus on it so one of the wheels is damaged. I called the police but they didn't come, when I had time to go to the police station I was encouraged to file a complaint with the bus company but no grounds to file criminal so no police help. I filed a complaint with the bus company when I was at the food bank. I was called later by a higher up person. They're dealing with the situation and I'll probably be called Mon by her supervisor... she's in trouble one way or another because she should have lowered the bus instead of given lip and a few other things where she broke company policy. 2 people offered to be her witnesses... they'll have a nasty surprise since they'll be confirming certain things she shouldn't have done and she'll get in trouble. I just didn't need this additional mess to deal with, uh!

On top of that, I check my answering machine and discover the landlord tried to contact me. Thing is, the next message is from my lawyer saying the landlord keeps avoiding his lawyer... that bleeping landlord keeps trying to avoid the proper channels and cause problems for everyone x.x I haven't called him back, but on other occasions he's tried to communicate during the weekend so I wouldn't be surprised if he tries again x.x

Anyways, I'm going to try and relax with a movie... probably Mirror Mirror since it's supposed to be a comedy, let's see if it can make me laugh (or at least smile) ;)

Thanks :D I loved Mirror Mirror. I thought it was a great take on an old tale. Julia Roberts is hilarious in it! Everything is so over the top outrageous lol.
