I like your phone theory. Honestly, I am a bit that way inclined - if anyone wants to reach me, they usually call/text my other half, as my phone is off! I carry one for emergencies, but it's just for that.

Oh, there are some crazy colour combinations in older designs, the 50s and 60s were much brighter than people give them credit for! And then the 70s/80s... massive shapes, patterns... But yes, it's often better to pick a motif or stitch style rather than recreate what was fashion at that moment in time.

Flat feet here & then a few years ago my right ankle started giving me issues which went into the right knee and then the right hip. I have skates but I'm not very motivated to use them... they're almost in brand new condition lol

she's going to be a zapper pet for a good long time, no idea what I'm looking for apart from getting achievements; although I did see a friend had a chibi experiment I find cute. I don't know what kind of look will go well with her name... we'll zap and see.

Thanks :) Luckily I was explained how to save an outfit without having to buy the items... although it would be a nice HA to wear, way too expensive. I also thought of Spanish dancing outfits as exotic... think colourful & fun... or maybe a parrot or exotic bird dress the HA up or hide behind a background. Oh oh I know... Star Wars the slave costume, that's exotic :D

I think everyone ill or not has things they would like to do but can't for one reason or another. Hmmm, are you talking about something like Vonage? They've been around for quite awhile now, although I hadn't specifically heard about traveling with your box before. Our landline service is now VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) which, is what the Vonage box uses. Not exactly the same technology as a cell phone which actually broadcasts over a given band of radio frequency and where your call is transferred from one cell site to another as your travel. But nice to know about, thanks. Our landline does also have a battery backup (although right now it's not connected since it causes problems during resets). Cellphones also use batteries and you can travel with a spare battery (or one of those handy portable chargers - so much technology available these days!). My issue is that any battery must be charged (you can forget, or it can drain, especially as it gets older) and has a limited usable life - including your battery backup. Most of them are only good for a few hours at best. The old landline phone system was good all the time, since the power came from the Central Office, so you could be sure of making a call in an emergency. Also, cellphone networks (and possibly VOIP as well, don't know about that) can be overloaded in an emergency and you may not be able to make a call then - think big storm, rather than a burglar outside your door. The old landline system was much less likely to be overloaded and the wire from your home to the Central Office was dedicated to just you. Oh well, new technologies and new times bring changes both good and bad.

Like you, my cell phone is off most of the time. But I wouldn't want to be without one.

I just think too many people forget that they don't have to jump every time the phone rings, or texts arrive, or whatever It's fine if that's what you want to do, but for those of us who don't, it's good to remember that we still have a choice.

Rogers also has one, but I use Fido. I've had a variety of power outages (including no internet), ice storm, lots of people calling trying to find out what's happening & could still use the phone. Yes, the battery only lasts a few hours if you're talking for many hours but never ran out during a power outage. LAN lines are ideal, but more costly, which is an issue for me.

A few years ago I had a cellphone plan that made it so I used it as my home phone. It drove me miserable! I like having a phone at home 24/7 but when I leave it doesn't disturb me and having a cell phone only to open in case of emergency. When I would forget to turn off the cell phone it would ring and disturb; it just annoyed me and I've chosen an alternative that better suits my life now.

It's tough with health but I try to keep the moral up. If you see me on here more... it usually means it's more challening in RL; however, at least I can give my mind a little bit of a distraction even when the going gets tougher ;)

The meal was delicious. I had made scallop potatoes yesterday with a few other things in the oven... cook when I have the energy then eat a few days. I hadn't tried them until tonight and oh la la yummy! I also had made tomatoes with onion, herbs, parmesan and had some cooked chicken. mmm

I am excited for the next tier as well. I finally got 10 wins on the hustler after all his stupid bs. The only challengers I have left to get wins from the very hard are Filantous and Terrafirma. I only have two or three wins on them so far. I think by the time I get to high T8 I will be able to get 10 wins.
