Adventure Challenge (Tuesday)

I'm a photographer and a re-enactor, so each summer (and spring... and sometimes also in autumn... and maybe in winter... oh, well, during each couple of days all around the year) I' spend a little bit of my time (and health) (and money) traveling through centuries. Sometimes it is just something linke a fancy picnic in awesome historical clothing, but... hey, do you know what felt english soldiers in 1415, on the battlefield of Agincourt? I know it. Rain everywhere around you, mud everywhere around you, flying arrows, screams, adrenaline, and something like a furious joy. And what was the sky during the siege of Breda, in 1624? I know it. Obscured by smoke, with your nostrils full of the acrid smell of gunpowder and blood, and your ears infested by the incessant rumble of drums and cannons.

I'm a re-enactor. I was there, on the edge of each battlefield.

Entry for Challenge

Twin Peaks and San Francisco, one of the best adventure I had so far

I am the mother of this nearly-two-year-old with whom every day is an adventure. The world is still new to her and she teaches me how to find wonder in a "gick" (stick) laying on the ground, or how to be really excited about every "Kii-eey! Maow!" (kitty) and "doggy! Fuff!" we see. Teaching her to say "fox" and "frog" instead of "fauk" and "fauk(g)", "snuggles" instead of "nurgles", "music" instead of "jigick", or finding her bottle when she's tucked it away somewhere, is also an adventure. It's the ordinary every-day kind of event that makes each day, though they might look the same, an adventure.

Entry for Challenge : The first time I travelled outside of Canada I went to Trinidad. This was probably the moment that freaked me out the most - our guide drove across this rickety little bridge in a huge chevy truck. I thought we'd fall through xD

Heading back to the marina after a day on my uncle's boat in Antigua. I love visiting my mom's side of the family, but I don't get down there as often as I'd like to. :)
