I didn't even vote for my story - couldn't tell if it was awesome or not :D
The only thing I have to be thankful for is: I never got a scroll or baking task, on any day. I spent nothing on this raffle but my time.
I still got disappointed I got a restockable pile of sand worth nothing, as many have said, I'd rather get nothing than this item.
What I'm also disappointed is that, most people won worthless stuff and some others won MORE THAN ONCE. I don't remember reading anywhere that you could win more than one price at a time.
from here
a lot of people missed that though, it was pretty easy to skip over
Everyone got an alert for the participation prize regardless so there's really no basis to be salty about getting an alert imo.
I got the unlucky title. I do like collecting titles but I also rarely change mine; I'll probably change back to the pumpkin king in a week so it doesn't really matter. I wouldn't have been bothered about restockable prizes
I would have rather "won" nothing than a consolation prize. The only "consolation prize" I thought we were getting was what everyone else got, the forum title. :| But whatever, a mundane cheap restockable, maybe later when I frag it I'll get a crystal. edit- no crystal for fragging it. lmao
I wonder next time how many will put a lot of effort into entering? If it envolves more than what I normally do daily, barring baking and scroll making, forget it. I won't worry about missing a day.
Either way, thanks for the raffle chance to win something beyond restockables.
Edit: I wouldn't even have cared about winning a junk item if this was stated before the raffle was done, not as a "surprise" last minute thing. Considering that it took a bit before it was even said that it didn't matter adding the junk items. But whatever, I should just keep my mouth shut over things.

wait sorry i'm a little confused by that statement, as i got a forum point AND a restockable. so even if the "junk" items hadn't been added, i still would have gotten the forum point. so... it wasn't the case that only non-winners got the additional prizes?
Yeah, I would have rather gotten the title instead of useless junk items. The only thing that I'm slightly annoyed with is that some people got both the CSC, CW, and a cash shop item. I get that its a raffle, and everyone has the same chance and all, but it really is annoying when someone is able to more than one of the desired items.

Forum points were part of the additional prizes too! But I think it could be clarified because I think people who won csc got other prizes too
Sorry if that wasn't entirely clear. We pulled the big prizes that we had announced (best first), and then used the remaining tickets to pull for the next tier and so on. It was possible to get a combination of the better prizes and the lesser ones. But if you only got one or more of the prizes we added (from the forum points and below on the news post), that means you would otherwise have gotten nothing. Both you and the OP wouldn't have received anything had we not added the extra prizes.
I mean, I'm sure it's been said before and I'm not contributing anything of value. But I seriously think the restockable prizes are kind of bullshit? I got a referral point (Woo!) and a kerubi elixir, so I mean, neat, two prizes.
But if I'd -only- gotten some snail shell (coughlikemyhusbanddid) and nothing else and ultimately missed out on the pretty cool title for the losers ... idk man idk
I do hope to be unlucky in the future and if I "get lucky" with some restockable, hoo boy, let me tell you what I will be an unhappy, unpleasant squid and it's my poor husband who will have to listen to me whine
bird and bear and hare and fish give my love her fondest wish
The "unlucky" title was also a last-minute addition. So had there not been restockable prizes added, the title wouldn't have been either. Thus all of us that got the restockables (or, in my case, only the second title) would have gotten nothing.
And I just don't see how that's somehow better.
ah, i thought forum points were part of the original prize list but i guess they weren't.
Honestly, I'm kinda upset about how negative people are being about their prizes. It's a RAFFLE. You weren't guaranteed to win anything, you didn't HAVE to spend a crazy amount of SP. That was a risk of entering. Most of the tasks were things that I did every day anyways, so it was cool to have a chance to win just for doing my usual things. Staff decided to add even more prizes to give to people who would have lost anyways, and people get upset? Because they'd rather win nothing? Y'all are going to make staff never want to anything nice for us again.
Radiation is finished! Sorry if I get confused sometimes, I just had brain surgery!
Thank you for all the kind thoughts and wishes while I'm in the hospital again!
Seems like it should've been a little more regulated, like everyone got the same "to-do list" every day (or that everyone got the same "set" of lists in a different order), or that the expensive tasks could only be drawn once or twice for the whole week.
Before people take my response out of context: I don't care about the prizes, never did, and never expected to win. My lists were always easy and basically free. There was one day where there was baking so I just skipped that day. I entered the raffle just to pass time and barely play Subeta anymore.
I think its kind of insulting to give out completely worthless prizes without any warning and then award an "actual prize" (as people collect titles and they're something that's sought after) to the "real losers". That just doesn't make any sense.
I saw the alert, which is an additional alert saying you won and not just "hey here's a title" as someone implied, before the news. I was pleasantly surprised and went to see what I won. I won garbage. My ""prize"" was Lavender Incense, worth 12k in user shops or under 500sP in main shops. In what world is that not insulting? Of course that's going to put a bad taste in peoples' mouths. The raffle was hyped up as this awesome thing where you could win awesome prizes and its like we got tricked, in a way. Instead of anything worthwhile we got handed garbage and told its a prize. Its not.
I don't necessarily care that I missed out on the Unlucky title. Its meaningless to me because I wouldn't use it since I have other titles I like a lot more. But I honestly would have rather gotten absolutely nothing at all, no title or prize, than an item that's literally worthless. Its a slap to the face to tell us we won and then for us to immediately see we actually lost.
However, IF the crappy restockable prizes and Unlucky had been made clear from the start, or later into the raffle like the other additional prizes, it wouldn't have been an issue. Obviously it would be a bit disappointing to win the worthless junk but at least people would've known beforehand and expected that possibility.
The point isn't OMG WHERES MY RICHES?!?!?!! People aren't whining because they didn't win the CSC and CWs (or, at least, not everyone is). The point is that these last minute prizes were handled poorly in some users' opinions and we want staff to know how we felt about it. That's it.
I think random just makes it completely fair. If everybody had the same tasks everyday, then inflation would probably have been way worse than it was because the need would be extreme for that day. I also could make scrolls of level 2 and higher, so it wasn't expensive for me to make scrolls - should it be limited because others are stuck at level one? As long as it's random, it's all up to you whether you enter or not. You might have rotten luck but there's nobody else to blame but yourself if you decided you wanted to enter so badly, especially knowing that it was very unlikely to win anything anyway.
i like my orange, its better than nothing. but what would have made it better was perhaps a joking tone to the event. "congrats! look like you got ...cheapitem_. It's something. It's your inventory by the way if you want to dump it in the DC"
then i'd be like "oh haha silly subeta!!! :D :D lols"
joking aside, i thought the event was okay. i agree with 's point up there though. the last 3 days i didnt even bother entering (scrolls and baking), which i dont regret lol
That's all the 'fair' it has to be, considering the whole point was the explore the site anyway. As long as people weren't favoured or picked on, then everybody had an equal playing field in terms of what tasks could pop up. I don't think anything had to be regulated or controlled because it should have just been a fun thing anyway - if you don't mind spending millions for a small chance at something, then you were free to do so. If you could only enter a few times at no loss to you, then winning should only be a nice surprise. I feel like people are taking this too seriously.
The only time it could be considered unfair was those who couldn't play the bug catching game on their mobile device and had to miss a day due to that.
There's loads I could say about this, but all I'm going to say is that I'm kind of disappointed with the way people are reacting/treating staff over this. Personally, I'm grateful that this happened and that staff tried their best to make everyone feel included. I had a lot of fun even if I put in a good amount of money and all I won were 'consolation' prizes, as some are putting it.
ETA: Wanting to know about prizes before they were given out is one thing. The types of complaining about what was actually given out is another.
