I have two jobs and a business.

The newest job is as a paralegal at a local law firm. I was a legal assistant at a different firm specializing in criminal defense (4 years there), but my time there recently ended, so I made the leap to the other firm, which has a focus on personal injury cases. It's wildly different work.

I also work here on Subeta as an assistant department director. I've been here basically forever (just a few days short of 12 years, and I was a regular member before the reset). I do customer service and moderation.

With regards to my business, I started up a business selling Arbonne products in February. It's an MLM company, so I work as an independent consultant and throw parties. I actually really love the products (vegan and gluten-free) and got hooked after trying the baby care on my little guy -- it was the only stuff that didn't give him rashes. I don't have a ton of time to do it, with the two jobs and a baby, but my new paralegal position opens up a few extra days a month I can use for doing parties, so that's nice. It's a lot of fun.

I'm a tattoo artist, started back in January of '89. It's a family owned shop, my mom started it, and now my brother and I both tattoo there while his wife does the body piercing and jewelry sales.

Not sure if any of their sons are interested in taking over someday, suppose we'll eventually have to take on some apprentices we can trust to take over down the road.

I'm a student at the moment. Just about to go into my 2nd year of a Mental Health Nursing course. I have a couple of jobs on the side that are luckily on an ad-hoc basis. I work in a university admissions centre advising people on how to apply, what qualifications they need etc. and I work in a library on late shifts helping out the people who are there because they can't sleep....or they have a deadline.

Just taking jobs to get the money at the moment. Dream job would be someone paying me to sit at home, drink tea, play games and watch tv!

I think the idea of a family tattoo business sounds amazing :)

I guess you can consider us a smaller town. We have a population of 160,274, and is the 24th largest metropolitan area in Canada :p

She keeps hiring other people and they get like 3-4 shifts a week. Pisses me off.

I am a registered nurse working on a medical-surgical floor. I graduated a year ago with my associates degree in nursing and now currently enrolled online to obtain my bachelors in nursing. Funny thing is, I took a hiatus from subeta when I graduated but magically found my way back here.

At this precise moment, nothing; normally, I'd be in retail, selling fragrance and essential oils plus body care: shea butter, body wash, etc. My job literally closed due to AT&T buying our store space from the mall; we were supposed to have a new store but it seems like it's still not even set up. No one (the husband/wife owners, our manager) talks to us, unless one of us threatens to quit... The kicker? There's a "mandatory" meeting this Sunday; I haven't been getting paid for the unexpected down time (when I desperately need it because unemployment isn't an option!), so... What's mandatory about it, precisely? I killed myself working for them with 30-40hr weeks/being on call to cover shifts (LOLNO2NDJOB4U), now I'm getting screwed over.

I'm hopeful to at least get a job at Ulta, but I'll likely need a second job to make my rent. T_T FML.

I'm a handyman. Not the most glamourous job, I won't get rich either. But I love it, I get dirty, tired, I get to pretty much play with power tools. Fuck, I'm not college material, and rejected by the millitary. What could I do?

Old, and obsolete.

I'm a trophy husband right now ;D

I just got married and moved to the states, where I am currently not a citizen. SO, until I have dual citizenship I cant legally work. So my husband works because he's lovely, and I stay at home with our three kids (cats). He's buying me a pigeon soon to keep me company during the day. So basically I live a great life.

Film/TV Production. Involves long and irregular hours but infinitely beats an office job and you see so many fun things.

I am a bookseller. I used to romanticise it a lot but the bookshop that I work for has lost a lot of its charm lately. Becoming too corporate for my tastes. Back to the job hunt..!
