!!! Pokemon Yellow is fantastic, I still play it haha. Silver was my first game though. Shame the internal battery for the memory died in it so it's unplayable but at least there's SoulSilver + roms. ;n;
Oh my gosh I'm so so sorry about that! I'm so sorry I screwed that up pretty bad!
Do you have a local game store? Not like gamestop but a store that might sell old games? I'd highly recommend swinging in and asking if they/know of someone who can fix the internal battery on a game. The guy who runs the one in my town knows how to fix em' and it's a typically really easy fix. He only charges like $1 or $2 to do it. There might also be some kind of tutorial on how to do it online if it's really that simple? I'll snoop around for you!
I remember I was super obsessed with glitter graphics. I remember my parents were finally ok with me getting a myspace account right when everyone migrated over to facebook. (Then I got a facebook...) I really liked the customization that myspace had, as well as the ridiculous amount of widgets.
Oh god and the obnoxious sound that came with it. XxTYPING YOUR NAME LIKE THISxX and eVeNtUaLy tHiNkInG tHiS eXpReSsEs hOw iNsAnE yOu aRe (<-- I have a friend that still types like this)
Also rainbows, brightly colored texts/fonts, scrolling images... HTML was easier and laying out pages was more simple, too, looking back...
I could try that but I think that I'll still lose my save if the new battery runs out as well. :( It was heartbreaking for kid me to lose all my progress after sinking so many hours into it. I might just stick with SoulSilver and roms so I know I won't lose my save. Thanks though!
- It's okay, the name mistake has happened before.
I never played the Gamecube Animal Crossing, but I've played lots of Wild World. But, knowing how I am today, I would get bored of it pretty quick. :x
I've never used Picto Chat with anyone. O.o
the graphics on a lot of myspace pages were eye-bleeding. XD
That said, I admit I did like the customization on myspace. I remember I had a music widget on mine. I tended to stick to stationary image backgrounds though just because I found them a lot easier on the eyes and overall, easier to load.
I understand what you mean. Everything is much more... soft yet streamlined now, and not flashy or glitzy. I can't exactly say that I miss that era or its graphics, but its nostalgia is there for a reason. Although usually such sentiment is attributed to the loss aversion phenomenon, i.e. ascribing more value to things that we own or have experienced than the unknown and things we don't own.
Psychology is as fascinating as it is mysterious.

butterflies in her eyes and the looks to kill!
time is flashing
could this be real???
I miss myspace sometimes! And msn. And xanga! I met my husband on xanga, lol.
