I'm going to answer and for everyone, since this information is important to clarify.
In the case of players playing more than one character (all of which the judges know,) it doesn't matter, as you are only scored on one.
It just means everyone contributes, so it's joint. That's not designed to confuse, but to clarify. Please remember that we had several people confused about the meaning of "solo."
As to everyone remaining in character, the frank answer is" "No, not everyone does." I always get posts on story threads for thing like "Get to the Lodge now," or "New puzzle," without any OOC in front, which Write is incredibly patient about, but still...She's good to us; we should be good to her.
And yes, I have seen many post where characters break class, or go so far out of period it isn't funny, or forget where they are. Right now, staying in Sinhae is a bit of an effort for some. RP isn't an easy task, and we are a competitive and creative group, which I love, but a few reminders help a lot.
Now, as to 's questions, the new character is, to all intents and purposes, Sinhaen. If she is more, it has not been revealed yet.
And you do not have to think she is pretty. Maybe she doesn't strike you, and that's okay!!
The contest gave me so many really good names that I took the ones that seemed to fit the best to our judges and collectively we settled Sayirumi, which was a combo of parts from , , , and .
So I'm off to do four wishlist grabs! Scores for Chapter 4 up soon!
Thank you for responding to my questions. I am glad that I asked for clarification. However, I am not playing multiple characters, so the judges might not know. I am simply writing for 3 different characters in our group.
So is it safe to RP with 2 of the 3 characters from one POV and it will get scored as two individuals?

Ah, got it! And I see your dilemma. Go ahead and do it the way it works best, and I'll keep your situation in mind.
Alright, thank you again for the response. I've been trying to change POV but I end up repeating a lot of the story, it just flows better from one POV. However, I am making sure that both people are getting a lot of their own time to shine! :)

One more thing, but it's becoming more and more obvious that this clarification is needed:
On no. 5, please answer the question which is asked: Knowing these things, what's your best first shot?
A number of you are setting up scenarios where you win, and saying: Ta Da! Or the equivalent.
However, "can you win" was not what you were asked! Please answer what was asked.
please see SL and give your ideas, thanks!
: I answered the question that was asked, but also give a rational for giving that answer which included a scenario of probabilities, not ultimate outcomes.
What I'm hoping for is: as soon as the deadline is past, could the solutions to these puzzles be posted? Like right away? Cause, they were really baffling.

Here you go, the answers to the tree riddles.
(One upcoming appeal is already granted on number 4, who took the "not speak good tree" really to heart, and produced this: " I went outside to look for berries, and spied a fig up ahead. However, it had a musty odor associated with it. Its rind was pretty cold also, I guess it was dead, but I ate it anyway. It gave me pains in my tummy that were finally alleviated after I found a private place to do my business. I had to use the mail for toilet paper. Finished, I turned to go back home, my backside still smarting."
Tree has become a lot more like standard English, but it was perfectly done. Off the wall, but perfect!)
That number 3 really had me going there for a while, took me forever to figure it out!! :D I feel so accomplished just for solving that one alone. :P lol
Congrats to all the teams who got answers to the riddles!

I really really extremely want:Congrats to everyone, these were hard puzzles!
I feel sad that you have to wear armor!
Also...wow wow, I would have never thought to do that with those words. Awesome job, y'all. And woot! At least the three we did figure out were right. :D
: Thanks! I gave up on after I read the clarification statement that said that it wasn't a cryptogram, thinking that a cypher was a type of cryptogram. I had even run it through a rail cypher program but got nowhere with it. Good on you for that one.
Thanks for posting the answers.
Ahaha, the appealing team did what my initial thought was, for the Bear Goddess. <3 At least for the ending. I thought she might have substituted words with close meanings in some places, but the last words (behind is smug) made me think of a smartass. ^.^
I figured there had to be a trick (well not really a trick, but you know what I mean) to the archers from the way the puzzle was stated. But the statements that wasting arrows wasn't allowed, and that we must cover all scenarios threw me off. THAT ONE WAS SO FRUSTRATING. kicks it Kinda had fun with it all the same. Clearly I am a masochist...or just insane. Probably the latter.
That code was a tough one too. Way to go for nailing it.

Congrats to all the teams, way to go. :)

RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.

the archer one was mis-leading, I only figured it out because I remembered a riddle regarding a game show (pick one out of three door, only one has a prize!) and how you could better your chances.
this one was a tough one ^_^
The question was dependent upon whether you could rely on the archers to act in their own best interests or not. If not -- if you truly needed to cover /every/ possible scenario, and had no way of determining where they'd shoot or the probability of them shooting at you vs the other archer -- it comes down to some form of averaging every possible probability of who they shoot with. Whether that comes down to them shooting at you 50% of the time and the other guy 50% of the time is not something I ever got a solid answer on, but the probability changes. In that circumstance, you might be better off aiming for Silver -- it certainly seems to be true by the math I did.
But game theory, which turned out to be the intent of the puzzle, relies on /everyone/ taking their best shot -- and only works if you assume they will.
...I'm not explaining it well. Time for a little less braining.
