Thanks so much! :D Okay, please do let me know if it gets too tedious for you, or if you just don't have time to look over things. =) I think I will take a break for today since I need to run some errands, but I'll probably work on shading it tomorrow. ;)

What do you need help with --- Well... I would like to understand better what I did wrong and how to fix it, and try to avoid it for the next time.
Was there a denial --- Your custom clothing Sweaty Animotion Hairpin was denied for the following reason(s): • ITEM and OVERLAY: Thick or heavy lineart • ITEM and OVERLAY: Gray artwork, possibly from shading with black and/or highlighting with white
Optional Can we take a look at the PSD files --- Yes, please. Can we redline --- Yes.

So it's almost bed time for me, so I don't have time to do a full redline or anything but I can try to help via text tonight, and if no one else has helped you by the time I'm online tomorrow, I can do visuals!
In your case, what I THINK the 'thick or heavy lineart' is referring to is the fact that you have very dark shading close to the lines, and this has the effect of making it look really thick. Some of your shading is extremely contrasting in color, so it makes the item generally look very dark.
As for the Gray artwork, This may possible be the same as the high contrasting colors I talked about before, or this could be because you're using all the same shade of blue, just lighter or darker versions of it. Adding different shades of blue, or perhaps turquoise to the shading can really help this I think! Also, a very bright cyan instead of solid white highlights may help as well n_n (same applies to the red on the item, perhaps using a dark purple to shade the red, and then a soft orange for the highlight!)
Thanks for the advice, really. Do you think I should apply it to the overlay too, or only on the item? Because both were rejected. :(

Both of them, as they're both doing the same things C:
Hello again. =) I have been working on the shading, and I just wanted to ask if you would mind looking at what I have so far, please? I didn't add the glittery/sparkly part yet, so that it is easier for you to see the shading. I feel like something is off with the wing on our left, but I am not sure how to fix it. I also added a little of the light blue to the highlights, because I liked how it looked (and tanzanites have both purple and blue in them), but feel free to let me know if it is not working. I put it on a separate layer, so it would be easy to remove. ;) Thanks so much again for your help and patience!
I think on the left side you shaded a little bit more individually again! The thing I'm really noticing is that the shading is making the feathers look like cones, rather than flat. Try keeping in mind when shading that feathers are flat like paper! C:
Well, I have made some changes. Thanks for your time! :D

That looks a lot better! Be careful about drop shadows on wears being overly large though. This small clip would not leave that big of a drop shadow on the HA's forehead / that far out! The other thing I see is there are a lot of little tiny dots all over the item image on the drop and I'm not sure what those are supposed to be? I am guessing shine, but the details have been destroyed a bit in the resize. If I remember correctly, you drew this very large perhaps? This is definitely something I used to be guilty of when I started doing item images like this. I used to draw them all at x4 the finished size and pack in all those little juicy bits. Sadly they do get eaten though! Something to consider!
So, I should do the shadow a little smaller and that's it? And yeah, those tiny dots were shiny bits on the full size. Do you suggest me to work on a smaller size next time? Like 2x times bigger and no more? If I recall correctly, I was working 3x times bigger. :3

Unless the item itself is super tiny (like an earring or a ring, or super intricate detailing) I usually avoid working on anything x2 personally. You can work on bigger canvas sizes if you're more comfortable with it, but I do suggest trying to do less tiny details if you go that route. C: (And yes on the shadow. It may even help to have it partially cell shaded for the drop shadow too, rather than simply blurred out entirely like that)
You work on the actual size of the HA? :O I'll try that next time. :3 I'll do the changes tomorrow and try to submit it again. Thanks for all the help. <3

OOPS anything bigger than x2** is what I meant LOL haha It is possible in sai to work on the actual HA size, but it's really challenging haha. I do not do that lmao I don't hate myself that much =PP
LOL, thanks for the clarification. I was amazed and terrified at the same time. xD

What do you need help with --- Not too sure how to incorporate more boob-age to the top...it is supposed to be fairly flowy (see refs). {ref } {ref } *Note that refs weren't used during any part of the design process--my releaser and I browsed the web to look for something that was similar to the concept of the top after the denial occurred.
Was there a denial --- • OVERLAY: Does not take into account differences between male and female avatars (waist, chest, crotch) • NOTE: While this is meant to be loose-draping fabric, it isn't SO loose that we shouldn't be able to see some definition in the fabric from breasts!
Optional Can we take a look at the PSD files --- Yep, if necessary! Can we redline --- Yep!

hii im in school now so i cant redline, but i believe that while you accounted for the boob on the left side (HA right), you didnt account for the boob on the right side (HA left) which should also be dropping more or less straight down! c:

i'd probably go for smth like

and then male needs to be straight, so

c:
heehee, dw~ SKUU'S IMPORTANT
Thank you for the redline!! I'll tweak it over the weekend to see how it goes from there--will keep you posted for more pointers!
