I didn't want to work at that size either, but it feels like the only way i could do it without taking hours with a mouse
would a mud streak like this look okay or be denied?
i think it suits the dog part of the item
I think mud would be fine to add. A lot of my items have little adds like that, such as oil spill or paint / etc. Don't forget you can always add some to the item part too, so it doesn't look super clean sitting in something muddy n_n
how is this?

@ mesmer i went and had a look at your shop and i think its ok now lol thank you sooooo much, as usual :)
@ cathii thank you too :* <3
DAB DAB
hi rip this is a pretty tough denial and ive been putting it off because of the sheer amount of time involved in fixing the anatomy itself q.q but ive finally found time to work on it, and i'd like help! ;-;
Username --- Link to the overlay(s) --- full working size Link to the CI --- this one is fine apparently
What do you need help with --- anatomy... q.q i reworked it here and i had to make it dab the other direction because i cant honestly extend the arm on the right (HA left) any further due to space constraints q.q
Was there a denial --- • OVERLAY: Anatomy or perspective issues • NOTE: This just really does not work on our avatars. Right now, it doesn't match our avatar's overall shape or design -- the arm on our left is a lot longer than the arm on the right if you were to place them straight by each other, and the way the hands end in little needle-points does not match with our avatar's design. It is also extremely uncomfortable to try and hold your elbow up THAT high - the upper arm looks like it is behind the head while the forearm looks in front of the head.
Optional Can we take a look at the PSD files --- only if really necessary because its really messy with all my A+ nonsense layers q.q i'll mail directly if needed! Can we redline --- yes please i would love any help! ;-;
edit: i drew extra lines on the body to see how well the arms connect, but they are not really necessary because only the arms will really be included in the placement of the overall mod.

I am not entirely sure this pose is possible without covering the entire torso as well... The problem is that the HA's torso is just not at the right angle to make this 1. easy to fit in the provided space and 2. it's not gravity conscious in the way that things such as the collar bones and breast tissue would change angles with the movement.
I am not great with perspective, so hopefully someone else can come in here and really help out with that, but I think you're really going to have to work hard getting the perspective and angles of the arms just right. I think that the original direction will end up looking the best, but without some really crafty perspective work that left arm is going to cut out of frame I think =X
o man i think i pingd other stuff too sorry :/
!!

What do you need help with --- Is my shading okay now? I based it off & a bow tie cw i did before.
Was there a denial --- • ITEM: Gradient or soft shaded instead of cel-shaded • NOTE: This is gradient shaded, rather than cel - the shading needs to follow the actual light source. Part of it would be in shadow cast by itself.
Optional Can we take a look at the PSD files --- yes Can we redline --- yes
The problem you may be having is that you're using an incredibly old item that isn't actually following a proper light source. I don't really have time right this second to hunt you a better one (need to run errands) but you should look for an item that is 1. from within the last two years and 2. a non-cw like the one you're currently using OR You should look up an actual collar to look at it's shading.
After that, you should also keep in mind that the shading should still have visible 'levels' when you resize. If you shrink it and it no longer looks cell shaded, then that's a problem unfortunately.
Ping me again if you need clarification or more help and once I'm home later I can provide more assistance.
I always suggest picking a NON-CW, like stated above. CW standards change quickly and frequently for each artist submitting things. Also your collar doesn't have all those extra things, so it's not going to help you a lot.
@ Mesmer ohhh okay >_<!
@ Mesmer
how about something like this?

i think i came up with a final version of this attempt

What do you need help with --- It's meant to fit with the other two cats and as well as the . Ideally, I would like for it to fit between the two cats and not be so far up to overlap the dress, but I am not sure how to accomplish this. Any and all help is appreciated. ;w;
Was there a denial --- A custom clothing item you drew, Baby Moon Kitty in a Box, submitted by Cresenta, was denied for the following reason(s): • OVERLAY: Anatomy or perspective issues • NOTE: The placement of this really isn't working anymore -- with it being so much smaller, it looks like it is on an entirely different plane from the HA itself! It really needs to be moved back • NOTE: Shrunk down, it loses a lot of detail and becomes rather gradient shaded, so it might need some sharpening up and editing
Optional Can we take a look at the PSD files --- if you really need to? Can we redline --- yes
The details/gradient part is fairly self explanatory, though if you prefer not to sharpen you can also try to use more contrasting colors and see if it helps. As for the placement... That's going to be harder. Would you be willing to do a mock-up of all of them together, so we can see how they all sit and how close they are to the dress ?
Oh gosh, it's like right on that line of the dress, and perfectly between the others. Did you include a finished preview (all three items at finished size) when you submitted ? I'm not sure how much it would change the chances of it being approved because items usually need to work on their own in some way, but it could have helped ? Collectively it looks perfect... And I am useless in thinking of a way to change it. Sorry I am no help ! :(
I am no animal expert or anything but, I'm noticing off the bat that the knee on the back leg looks really flat / weird compared to that of the larger cats you've shown. Also because the cat is so small, the back foot that is barely visible kind of looks like it's the out turned front paw that is actually hidden by the other paw in front of it, making it look really weird and awkward. I might suggest adjusting that part too.

What do you need help with --- This is the 2nd time this item got denied. first time they wanted to have the wand removed, perspective was off.
So I redid the lineart,changed the perspective,had to reshade everything. I need help understanding how to fix pillow shading,why they think my lineart is thicker when I made sure to use a thin brush..For the sticker effect, so I need to add more lineart inside? So any help will be appreciated, little overwhelmed as its a long lengthy denial. Thank you for your guys time!
Was there a denial --- OVERLAY: Artwork does not match Subeta style, quality, or level of detail in general • OVERLAY: Thick or heavy lineart • OVERLAY: Sticker effect: flatness due to black lineart around the edges and colored or missing lineart inside • OVERLAY: Pillow shading • NOTE: Overall this is very nice! There are a few parts however that just do not match site style - in fact, the styles seem to clash with each other a bit. For example, the top around the torso and chest is very finely detailed with perfect lineart and shading. The parts where the fabric is black, however, and the part around the collar are much thicker with pillow shading.
Optional Can we take a look at the PSD files --- yes Can we redline --- yes
that's weird, i mean, the perspective of the cat looks fine imo, considering the other two were accepted
i would personally move it a bit lower though, and then submit it again, with the screenshot of the three of them together to show why it can't be moved back instead

could i have the psd? i can kind of see where staff is coming from; the lineart does look a bit thick, i dont know if because of the shading or bc it's thick somehow x:
Do you mind if I take a look at the PSD? I think I see what they mean about the lineart and pillow shading around the collar and such, but my eyes are just not cut out for seeing things at subeta sizes and it would help if I could zoom in and make some alterations that you could see, instead of me sloppily drawing on top of the PNG you provided. :p
Overall, I do find your lineart to be a bit heavy in general, especially compared with a lot of the CWs currently being accepted on site. Maybe try experimenting in the future with an even thinner brush? I work in photoshop and even using a 3px brush I have to go back and erase at times to make sure the lineart doesn't get too thick (this is at 250x500, double the submission size if that makes sense). I think the shading on the collar is a bit heavy and flat, which I could see them saying is pillowy? however, I honestly think the black looks great. Ahh, but everyone else on sube tends to submit BLACK BLACKS without much shading or highlighting. Maybe Jessi wants you to have less detail?
