I think our whole team is hormal and edgy ... you are the only one with a real reason to be. LOL
Heck the first WS I sent GreenRowan a message going "Wait...did my team miss an entire chapter cus I have no clue what is going on." She was like "No you have done everything up to here. This is the next one." I was so lost. LOL
xD Well okay then. I got confused too when she hadmore then jalapenoes.
yea the whole name didnt fit into a hash tag. LOL
I am not sure when this may have happened but you have listed with our team Nevermind...would help if I read the chapter 5 stuff first...where it mentions a LINK which they are suppose to be.
I don't actually know our whole name xD and I'm a bit worried too now.
This was a high scoring chapter and our teams did an excellent job all round. First of all, everybody managed to get the Shishin riddles with no problem, and everyone was able to pick up the 100 bonus points,
Now, that left the Mage RPs, which for some reason, worried a lot of folks for some unknown reason. There was absolutely no need for worries. The RPs were uniformly good, and the gifts were perfection. If they didn't have the muffins, they had lots of twinkling lights and music was everywhere.
So full scores of 1100 points overall for these three parts to all teams.
Now: the Enter Sinhae HAs, which did have some variance in points:
What the judges looked for was:
Did the overall look fit both Sinhae and the "new" class of the character? Were the accessories and the makeup well matched to the outfit? Quality of the design and all details on point?
They decided on this scoring table: Choose not to turn in challenge: 0 Outfits were not suitable for Sinhae: 100 (50) Outfits did not reflect the class of the wearer: 200 (100) Outfits met requirements, but were minimally executed, or had major problems: 300 (150) Outfits were well done, but something was off, such as makeup, theme, or accessory: 400 (200) Outfits were well done, with perfect attention to all details: 500 (250)
If two HAs were submitted, they were scored separately.
Catnip Thieves: These were a very contrasting pair with an aristocrat in tandem with the native peasant form the country. However, both of these looks were so well put together! even the skin tones are perfect! Were impressed with this lively pair.
Score: Entry 1=250. Entry 2=250 Total=500
Chimeriad: These were two very different looks, which was very good for the characters. Entry one did an exceptional job of invoking Sinhae, with perfect attention to detail. Entry two was glorious in monochrome, and again, details chosen were exceptional. However, this one would have been equally at home in a ballroom in Vienna, which is not the theme for this round.
Score: Entry 1=250. Entry 2=200 Total=450
Couple of Disasters: These two entries were obviously for a characters working as a couple, and that sense was well conveyed. The total effect, though, was broken by the shoes on entry 1 and the lack of hair ornamentation on entry 2. In addition, the first entry evoked an eastern Europe feeling more than any part of the Far East. Details, details.
Score: Entry 1=200, Entry 2=200 Total=400
Dazed Jalapenos: Entry 1 here was properly mystical, but we would have preferred all black hair, or to have the grey echoed in an accessory, especially with the very white skin. The shoes on Entry 2 really didn't work for us, and the "ploops" of hair were a bit too modern for the look. This costumes weren't bad, but they need a bit more polish.
Score: Entry 1=200. Entry 2=200 Total=400
Diamonds in the Rough: The first entry really worked very well for the character and had a feel of innocence. However, since the feet were in water, they should have been bare. That bit of follow through was definitely needed. Entry number 2 did not have a finishing problem and reeked of arrogance and self-possession, which was a contract with the first entry's innocence. The layering here was impressive as was the tying of the hair shade with the chosen backdrop.
Score: Entry 1=200. Entry 2=250 Total=450
Fallen Angels: These two were both plagued by minor problems. For entry 1, it was a mismatch of somewhat clashing colors in the head flowers and the sash. We are fans of being unafraid of color and boldness, but orange is difficult at the best of times, and it jarred here. In addition, the bag was an odd accessory for the character's class.
Entry 2 did a marvelous job of working with monochrome, but the bodice had an almost western influence--still, there is some precedence for this look in parts of historical China, which is fused into Sinhae, so we let that slide. However, we could not get past the shoes! The color was not echoed anywhere, so they served only to break the flow of the monochrome. By contrast, the last entry in the non-scoring ones was the most intriguing for character, and executed monochrome very well!
Score: Entry 1=200. Entry 2=200 Total=400
Farseeing Fables: Both of these entries were simply done, yet evocative. Both were serviceable, yet had the same essential problems--accessories. For entry 1's Ninja look, we would have preferred a hood, since the hair was an unfortunate color for the mood, and the battle? fan needed to be something other than white. In entry 2, the hair flowers were too simple for the elaborate layered costume below. These details were enough to ruin the overalls, but they lacked that finishing element.
Score: Entry 1=200. Entry 2=200 Total=400
Han Solo: This entry is very well coordinated, but the style is evocative of the middle eastern regions, and is almost classic in this regard. There is also a small precedence for this style in parts of China in the areas surrounding the Silk Road, so we will score accordingly.
Score: One Entry=450 Total 450
Score: 0
Mischievous Misfits:
Another pair of true misfits, with the innocent ingenue (we suspect from an coastal village or an island town) and the more sinister mystery figure. She glows; he glowers. Astounding! was the team who did well to start simple and stay simple. These have charm!
Score: Entry 1=250. Entry 2=250 Total=500
Nightowls: This one made us sad to score for two reason. The first was that entry 1 was exquisite in choice of background, accessories, and style, with exceptional layering and coloration. However, the tints of sunset evenings so well matched in the garb was overpowered by the heavy black eyemask around the eyes, which effectively impaired the whole look. The second reason was that the fifth entry in the ones not submitted was a simpler look, but a perfect one in every respect! (Still, we were kind on this one.)
Entry number 2 was not as impressive as entry number 1 might have been, but it was perfect for the occasion.
Score: Entry 1=200. Entry 2=250 Total=450
Organized Chaos: This was an interesting pair. We want to be kind to all teams, but we have to ask why this entry was chosen instead of number 3 and 4 in the unchosen ones. Slapping a kimono on a modern girl with a modern hairstyle, and classic "office and beyond" modern low heels does make an Sinhaen adventurer. This one was hard to understand. Entry 2, however, was the polar opposite and perfect for an Illjimae creating a look of pieces and parts. The eye make-up works here because the effect is echoed in the lower skirt. Definitely an overall winner.
Score: Entry 1=150 (this is KIND!). Entry 2=250 Total=400
Reaver: Any of the four entries for this team could have been chosen for scoring. This was probably the best team for overall excellence of costume. The almost genie-like feel of entry 1 defied its apparent simplicity, and the elegance of entry 2 was balanced by the whimsical accessories and the "almost scarred" make-up. These two gave a feeling of practical substance. They got the job done!
Score: Entry 1=250. Entry 2=250 Total=500
Rougish Companions: These two made color work for them. The oranges that were at odds with another team blended for entry 1 and worked well. We would like to have seen another backdrop for this one, but this was a very minor detail and we didn't subtract. Entry 2 was much better with the chosen back, and made good use of being a pastel rainbow, but not offering any heavy contrast.
Score: Entry 1=250. Entry 2=250 Total=500
Travelers: The first HA had a real conflict deciding between being in Sinhae and becoming a Renaissance minstrel. The class was reflected wonderfully and the coordination of elements was playful, but this was clearly a foreign visitor, despite the lucky cat. Yet, directly above, in the second of the HAs not entered was a perfected executed traveler at home in a strange land. Even the dog fit!
The second HA was classic and perfect, leaving us wondering whether it was a ronin or a ghost. Simply done, but simple execellence! Bravo!
Score: Entry 1=150. Entry 2=250 Total=400
Wayfarers: These two entries were vastly different in style and apparent social class, which help the enhance the virtues or both. Even the makeup was coordinated to compliment its own outfit and contrast with the other, bringing both to life! Congratulations to both designers!
Score: Entry 1=250. Entry 2=250 Total=500
Some of you may not like your scores, but there will be more HA submissions, so please remember, each look starts fresh, and teams, don't be afraid to look with a critical eye in order to help your mates crisp up a look!
I'll add in the chapter scores soon in the first post.
WAY TO GO! tackles Cutie in particular
Hamda had an entry, before you even posted the second IC thing. Please don't miss poor Nightshade!
And I honestly didn't think much about reflecting Jean's class per se, just who she is (though her class is part of it, I guess?) Certainly I didn't do anything to contrast with Cutie's, but I'm glad the judges liked them. ^.^;; I'll keep the notes made this round in mind for the future.

Congratulations to everyone! Way to go ... :)
She had on her Ellak City outfit. Did I miss the post where she changed? If so, show me!! I've got two of the judges on now!!
Got It! She meant for THAT to be her new Sinhae outfit. Hang on--here comes the third one just coming into chat. She'll get scored!!!
you guys are kicking ass and taking names! congrats!! <3
Congrats teams, awesome job as always! hugs
RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.
Ocean Conservation Namibia on YouTube... they do good work! https://www.ocnamibia.org
D'aww, thank you. I hope we can continue. I'm so out of it this week I'm having trouble writing rp, and it may show for Jean.
Oh, that's possible. The rp blurb mentions changing, but I don't actually know what the old avatar was.
It's the very second post on this page. I know that there was mention in a few discussions I've been in of people who started out in something Sinhae-appropriate not seeing a need to change, and it might be the case here? I just hope can get points because she's been doing so well.
EDIT: I seem to remember the starting avatar being something techpunky?

I watch alot of J-dramas and so I picked a style that reflect the japanese view of china, I know I know a reflection of a reflection but Nightshade looked good in green ^^;
I'm glad I wasn't off, my post seemed to be easy to miss so it worried me a bit :D
Nightshade started out as rav tech then switched to something more understated... poor elf, but you have to give him points for blending well with his surrounds right ^^;
this is how he started out
I love you but I'm still nomming on your hair ♥ thank you for saving me, nightshade loves to blend in with the shadows so he's easy to miss! congrats on getting such high scores this round, you guys are doing so well :D
Aww, it was my pleasure! Try to avoid nomming me until I'm not so sick. You don't want whatever I have. =P Thanks much, I'm so proud of my team right now. wiggles And hey, you're on your own and you are /killing/ it! Look at you go!
Speaking of going...shy is going back to bed. >.<

I am sorry my fellow s I missed the mark but I thought this was very Sinhae. Maybe it was the tights? No minsterel here, she is a mage, has books, twilight, water, face. Maybe someone else needs to do the HAs from here on out? LOL Everyone did a great job though! Proud of you! See you next week when I get back XOXOX

, just because you help with HA's on the team doesn't mean you will always hit the mark as far as the HA the judges are looking for. Remember a lot of the team voted on the HA's too. Thanks for all your hard work! :)
The succinct explanation is appreciated by the judges too.... and we can simply try to improve for the next time.
Hello! :D I have a question, the Shishin Riddles and the Shishin Gift Rp worth 500 points each, right? o:
THAT made my day ♥
I just checked the ranks and you guys are a well earned number one
congrats again and sweet dreams
plots to steal your wig while you sleep MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Hey hey - it looks like you got us in on time xD I am fairly certain mine and yours were the judged and we didn't do too bad! I knew I should've gone with the all-black hair darn it haha. Go us! -high fives-
