I made mine and I was like sweet assasin lol, then I saw yours after and I was like WOAH O.O XD I had to say something XD I watch walking dead as well. That was probably the worst scene in the whole series DX

Him and I have been friends since we were in public school, we start dating 7 years ago. Of course we were on and off for the first 3 years but we always stayed close.

Last night he said he was hungry and he didn't want to eat my awful cooking so he said why don't we go out to eat.

We ended up going to Swiss Chalet because he knows that my absolutely favorite place to eat, I love their Chalet sauce. At the end of dinner the lady came and asked who was paying and he pointed at me and said the bill was on me. I opened up the bill and along side the mints was the ring and the bill said $0 and when I looked up he was on his knee.

He didn't even get time to say anything before I said yes and started crying, he was shaking soo much too, you could tell he was super nervous.

Awwww! So cute! My husband wanted to do a dinner engagement, but he ended up doing it at an anime convention. :D Cool he took you to one of your favorite spots. I bet you are so excited!!! I stood there like a loaf for a good five minutes when my husband proposed because I was shocked XDD

Again it hasn't really hit me yet, I'm sure it will eventually but at this point in time it still feels so unreal! and that is so cute!

The ring box had a light in it to make the ring shine, so I was trying to ponder how he got them to make a spot light so fast XD

No, I haven't! I was born here but when I was 10 my family moved to Florida, I moved back to Canada about 4 years ago.

I've been engaged to someone else for about 1 1/2 years. What happened in our case is my fiance proposed to me within 6 months of knowing each other (gut feelings, I guess) and then we've been broke and unable to move out together. Getting married while living with awful parents would be too awkward. I do think it's good we had to wait, because I wasn't ready before. Now, I am and 100% confident he's the right one. ^^

We're planning to move out in December/January and are most likely going to get married in March/April. We don't have much planning to do as it's going to be a simple backyard wedding. I just need to figure out what to do about certain things on my end. I have no biological family support and the only friend that I would want to invite is not on good terms with my fiance. I guess I could just walk down the aisle alone... pretty much a metaphor of my life. Cue angsty music

What are some easy titles/Achievements to get?

- Hmm, most of the title getting achievements are hard to get, since one or two of the items tend to be very expensive. The easiest ones I can think of are the ones involving playing Pete Says (except the higher level ones).

I would need to look at all my achievements to see what is easy. The first one I saw that's super easy is changing your avatar's headshot, which can be done in the User Dashboard page.

Edit: Adding in some achievements. I'm not an active achievement hunter (mine are mainly automatically gotten) and I don't have much time left today, so I don't have that many to share. ;3;

That's good that you already know you agree on some things... And frankly, a year is a long time in terms of patience, but a small amount of time in terms of planning things, so I think that's probably good! Our civil ceremony was pulled together in about two weeks: borrowing dishes from neighbors, borrowing raclette ovens, finding decorations, making party favors, getting someone to make the cake... That was rough!

But yeah, I can understand the excitement there... Telling everyone is fun! And your story is lovely. It sounds like he had it really well planned, and it doesn't sound llike he was even that nervous! My husband was absolutely panicking when he proposed... :O

And the ring sounds lovely! I think sapphires are amazing. If I didn't have an heirloom ring (his mother's engagement ring), then I think I would have wanted a sapphire!

Norwegian Forest Cats are SOOOOOO fluffy! I love them! One of my cats when I was younger was a Maine Coon... They're fluffy, too. These two aren't as fluffy, but they're soft, cuddly, and friendly, so I don't mind. :P Plus, we have several friends and family members who are allergic, and these two have less dander than some of the longer-haired varieties (our maine coon had terrible dander problems!), so we can still invite people over. :O

And I don't know why people took issue with the name... I guess maybe because it is French, and they had troubles pronouncing it? But it's not THAT hard to say...

ESL classes are English as a Second Language. I teach English here primarily to German-speaking Swiss people. :) It is quite fun, I think. I get to work with adults, so they're usually motivated, and fun, and they take the work seriously, but at the same time, I don't have to worry so much about being PG and PC (like you do when you teach kids), so that's all nice...

As for my translating, I'm translating a French book into English. I don't think the series is particularly well-known, and I'm pretty sure it is only available digitally, but I think it is quite good. It's called the Chronicles of Galadria. It's a sort-of coming of age story about a teenager/young adult who has always loved adventure books, like Lord of the Rings, and all of those. He's always dreamed of what it would be like to experience something like that. Then, one day he and three of his friends find out that they are maggs (white magicians) and protectors (guardians for white magicians), and they get transported to another world (Galadria). The story is not just about the epic battles and such, but also about his thoughts, perceptions, observations, that sort of thing. I don't know... I enjoy it a lot, and I think we've done a pretty good job, especially when you consider we don't have any editors or anyone else helping along the way! I talk things back and forth with the author, and we both look at the translation as it goes, and that's that. :O

Yes, waiting is a good plan!! My husband and I didn't have much choice. With the EU and Shengen, basically everyone has priority for getting a visa to Switzerland before an American, so I just couldn't get the paperwork to be together. We were tired of long distance, so we decided to get married even if that meant we'd have to live with his parents. We survived living there, and they are nice people, but they nearly drove me insane, and I think my relationship with my in-laws would have been better if I hadn't lived with them. It was very stressful for me! I'm an introvert, and I really need space and quiet, and they'd come knock on our door (we had the attic as our own "apartment") at any time of the day or night... Also, there was no bathroom in the attic, so I'd come down to use the restroom, and they'd catch me on the way and start a LOOOONG conversation. And I was used to living on my own and being an adult, but when I moved in, they kind of treated me like a kid... They wouldn't even let us burn any candles!!! So anyway, when we did move out, I gave my husband a radius rule... We can't live in any apartment or house close enough that his mother might come over without calling beforehand and driving in the car. :O

- Oh gosh, I know how living with constant interruptions and noise is. It drives me crazy as well since I need my space.

My fiance's family is nice, but yeah, living with them would be awful. The radius rule is a good one.

not a lot! I've just been working away! Im on pathogen testing alone this week and I am getting slaughtered with samples! My weekend was nice :D! I just relaxed, played video games and watched the walking dead with Achilles :D!

Hehe, yes, rubbing your face in soft pet fur is lovely. And cats always keep their fur so nice and clean, so it's perfect for that! I'm glad we've got such cuddly fur babies. We're lucky that way. They were born in a house with a bunch of kids, living in a small town, where more kids just magically appear at all hours of the day, and during the spring and summer, when the kids were around a lot. So, they're super used to being handled, and love attention. That's the perfect kind of family to get kitties from!

Haha, dander is walking slowly? Interesting... I guess in American, it only refers to skin flakes. :O Do you guys have a different word for the skin bits, then, or are they also dander?

As for English... It IS my first language. I grew up in the midwest, in the US. :) But I think all languages are fascinating! I speak English as a native, I'm fluent in French, I'm intermediate in German, and I want to start learning Italian. :O
