No, I wish they would. It's highly insinuated that she's either a lesbian or bisexual, but of course, they won't make it canon.

Welp then I'm glad I stopped watching the show. Honestly, I used to follow The Flash, Gotham, Arrow etc but I got to a point where I was tired of the same TV with the same things all around. At some point, the writers exaust a storyline and just drive it around madly ... for nothing ha ha (yes there is soo much salt behind it lol). I'm watching 2 shows I think but that's it t.t

Morning mail?

Yet there it was, a clean white envelope nestled in front of the door. How strange, since the normal mail doesn't come in the morning, after a few mailmen have been (unfortunately) devoured by the stable beasts.

Upon picking it up, it is impossible to miss the crayon scribble of the recipient [.Oru] is in front. Steady fingers pull the folded tab open and slip the contents out.

It is not a letter or one of those resumes that have been steadily being delivered, just a card in the same crayon as the front (albeit with a few different colours), is written: "I'll miss you Doctor. From Butter."

flip to the front of the card A picture, eh?

A hint of a smile appears and the card is slipped into a rare pocket containing no dangerous devices. Looks like another one for the gift drawer.

[.Oru] We do have quite a few more than have managed to stay on the show, I've noticed. I was so excited when Morgan came back, right up until I actually watched the season and then was like...you need to go. And yes! I'm with you on Gabriel! I was so over him and then he stepped up. Also the dude who was there the whole time (the glasses dude - did we ever get his name?) is awesome. I'm glad he made it through.

And yeah, Abraham, Morgan, and Carol are currently my least enjoyable characters (and Neegan, but I'm supposed to not like him). What is happening with Carol anyhow? Like, she went from awesomely tough and gets shit done to hem-hawing about life and it's like....why are we having regression? And you're right, it isn't just with her, it's with all of them. They have this awesome thing to actually fight for, they know how bad people can be, and they're all just like "oh no, the moral dilemma, maybe we shouldn't kill bad people?? maybe we can just lock them up in this plaster room" like....why? I've always felt like the zombies were secondary in this show, as far as villains go. It's always been about "who can we trust, are they good people" and suddenly it's not like that and I don't get it.

Yeah, I wanted to like Z Nation, and then I watched it and was like....what the hell? SyFy has done some really good original shows lately, but that definitely isn't one of them. My dad still really enjoys it, but I can't get into it at all.

Are you guys talking about the Walking Dead?

I never watched that show but have heard about it. So... Why are you mad about the characters starting to sympathize with the zombies? I don't know about the transformation process from humans to zombies on the Walking Dead, but I have a theory concerning why the characters are behaving the way that you stated in your post.

For the most part, most people don't become zombies by choice. They get bitten and later become zombies; they can't control or prevent the transformation. Maybe the writers are beginning to set up a plot where some of the characters turned zombie show that they are still moral?

Yeah, we're talking about that show, but they're not sympathizing with the zombies (also in the show, the zombies are definitely dead and there's no cure - but if there was it would just put them back to dead).

We're talking about the people they deal with, and them growing into people who could survive in that world over the course of the seasons right up until this season, where they seem to be regressing into not being able to make the necessary decisions to stay alive.

Ah. So the Walking Dead may be suffering from seasonal rot.

But honestly, the idea of people who are turned into zombies being able to remain good is something I'm pretty interested in. I think "Warm Bodies" did a good version of that particular plot.

It's just a confusing character progression, since it doesn't seem like they're making any progress right now. Hopefully they get back on track this coming season.

Oh yeah, I really enjoyed that movie a lot. I liked the idea that maybe it wasn't all for naught, that there was a chance for people to come back from it (depending on the overall circumstances, since some of those zombies were definitely done forever haha).

introduction
"Ah hello, excuse me? Yes, good afternoon Doctor," Mari stammers. "I'm Nurse Mari. I'd like to speak with you about the vacancy you're leaving at Poveglia Clinic." She can feel herself flushing, and a bluish blush begins to take over her face as the tips of her hair go violet. "I know there have been a lot of applicants around here lately, and I'm not as qualified as they are," Mari takes a deep breath to steady her nerves, "but this place is my home now, and I know I can continue the work that you've started here." Her carefully rehearsed speech is turning into a ramble as she speeds up, "there's a package on your desk from me. I hope you take me into consideration despite my inexperience." Forgetting she's still gloved, Mari instinctively wipes her sweaty palms on her apron and shakes the Doctor's hand with a surprisingly firm grip.
the package The Doctor finds a lumpy parcel neatly wrapped in brown paper and red and white string. Enclosed is an odd little doll and a note that reads:

Dr. Oru, This is a doll a little girl knit for me when we healed her after Body Snatchers tried to take her heart. On her last day, she told me to give it away when I felt as safe as she did here. We used to confide in each other after I found her crying late at night during my rounds. Elise made a full recovery because we made her feel secure again and restored her body and spirit. I may not be a patient, but this is what Poveglia Clinic has done for me too. I promised Elise that I would start making dolls to pass on in good faith. Please take this one as a token to remind you of all the lives that you've bettered.

So I cut deadlines super close D: but hey, makes things exciting right? :P

here is my entry albeit a little late He wasn’t her first, nor would he be her last.

Material things were easy to achieve in life, money rules all things material. But, a reputation, a position, now those were difficult to attain she thought with a smirk on her face. The street lights flickered across her ivory cheekbones, like tiny dancers giving subtle hints to her features. It has been a long time since she surfaced, the last place she helped shape was covered in rumbles, and dark whispers of a past too heinous to speak of. But it wasn’t her fault really, at least it was not her intention to ruin an entire town, she simply lost control and didn’t really…care about the consequences. However she did attain what she went there for, knowledge, and a life she stole from some poor girl whose name she didn’t even remember anymore.

It all starts the same way, someone spoke of an individual that had something she wanted. Wether it be a family that seemed all too perfect from the outside, opportunities worth more than sliver or gold, or even the love of a coveted prince. People’s lives were easy to slip into-especially when she wasn’t quite 100% human. Humans were easy to fool, their eyes can be covered by a slight breeze, some dust in the air hinders their abilities to detect even the largest of changes. Ironically she didn’t have a face, her features were like ripples in a stream, constantly changing, morphing. Having been born and abandoned in an alcove beside the river, she never quite had a name, or even a family. But she preferred to called herself Lillian, after the mother who gave birth to all demons. She wasn’t even sure she was part demon, for all she knew she was half angel, but she liked to think one of her parents was some sort of overlord commanding all.

Her shoes clicked lightly against the cobblestone road, it was a smaller place this town, with quaint features and houses. The channel to her right lapped at the walls, the tides whispering quietly. The kind Lillian previously liked, but of course from a far away time with people who no longer felt the requirement to breath. The entire town was asleep, and the soft dim of the lights set a perfect mood for the conquest up ahead.

The man she was searching for, she has already heard stories about, folk lore others claimed but she liked the sound of becoming a story told for ages. Many of her conquests were often grand yet not a soul lived to tell the tale, therefore not only were the stories wildly false (I mean talks of an evil witch, a soul sucking wizard?!) and distasteful. This time however, she would live more peacefully, acclimating to the environment better than the past few locales. She wasn’t going to kill him, not exactly. She just wanted to see what it would be liked, how people would see her when she was wearing a white doctor’s coat. The only thing that annoyed her was the fact he was a man, not that Lillian called herself any terms but she had to conjure up some story of why the Dr. suddenly became a young girl. The tip of her extremely angular tongue tsked against her teeth but she trudged forward.

Usually Lillian never had a well thought out plan, leading to the reason behind her destructive nature. But this was never a concern, typically an afterthought or a thought she never had. The wooden sign she was searching for came up in the distance, a handcrafted sign that stated doctor’s office. It poked out of a beautiful brick two story building, hidden from view as it was just a foot smaller in terms of length compared to the buildings beside it. Two wooden flower planters were seated at the front of the building, an array of flower buds inside waiting to bloom.

Finally, she thought, it was time to make a few explosions and start my new life. But as she rounded the corner to the door, she noticed it was already ajar, and the inside of the room was pitch black. Her ruby lips curled back in a snarl, showing her surprisingly pointy teeth.

Was he waiting for me, or did someone else already take what I came for. Her thoughts were jumbled, another indicator of her less than human side not having the same intellectual capabilities. Fury settled into her stomach, and she tentatively stepped foot into the abandoned home/office space. Darkness surrounded everything like a veil, for human eyes it would be impossible to make out the turned desk, the shattered glass scattered across the floors, or the ripped wallpaper. However Lillian wasn’t quite human, and she had perfect senses in the darkness, it was her home. She could smell blood, sprayed over the walls, the panic of the person who was here last and he wasn’t quite…human either. Her ruby lips spread open in a smile, her pointed teeth flashing in the lightless room. So he wasn’t quite human either, the thought amusing her more than it really should have. but he wasn’t here anymore, there was no need to dispose of him, even better.

tomorrow the town would meet dr. lillian, last name to be determined, and it would be like the old doctor never existed. later on, she would hunt him down, to fill the holes in her story but for now, she was going to enjoy pretending to be an angel.

[.Oru] Man, I feel you. I worked two jobs and was still on the struggle bus. They tried to tell us we wouldn't get our diploma's if you hadn't paid the semester sooooo needless to day, I was a lunatic zombie working 24/7 through finals and crap to pay them. My neck is tense just thinking about it lol. :cries: I can't even complain though, I know friends who got nothing, but fml they ask for your soul just to get a degree with no guaranteed job security. Those financial aid memes are so accurate.

Anyway, I got carried away for a bit. :D

I can't save you Oru! I'd be right there eating it up. I'm a sucker for cheesy, over the top, totally inaccurate action. Travis Fimmel is yummy too, so there's that. It's a guilty pleasure, minus the guilt....except for Ghost in the Shell because it looks so awesome, but wtf why Scarlett Johansson of all freakin people?! I'm not knocking her acting chops but, no. Overall, the film industry just does a really strange job of adapting really successful franchises into movies.

I remember the trailer for Starry Eyes and for some reason, I felt like I would just be upset at how the storyline went. I have no clue why I felt that way, but I just knew I'd be disappointed so I never bothered watching it. I saw the devil reminds me a little bit of Kill Bill but more serious?? Maybe it's the music, but if the people from Old Boy are a part of it, I can kind of see why. It looks really good though!!

and Oru In regards to the whole feeling sorry for killing humans, it seems like they might've been trying to steer it in the route of the comics (I won't spoil it for people but I'm talking about the whole locking people in basements and "being the better person") and did a shitty job in starting it off (not that I agreed with it in the books either). I haven't gotten passed episode three though so I might be completely off, but it kind of goes along with Negan's timeline in the book.

Ah, that would probably explain it then. I only have the first compendium of the comics, haven't had a chance to pick up the rest (also, I fell in love with the show before the comics, so I don't want to spoil myself too much by reading anything that hasn't happened yet haha). I should just bite the bullet and buy them xD

Bullet proof, sure, but they can still make her die by choking on a pea... Just leaving that out here.

//slips pocket into suitcase ❤️

As soon as the whole "Jedi thing with the Wolves" happened, I knew Morgan was gonna be a thorn in my sock.

THANK YOU, REGRESSION. Sometimes it's really hard to get the right word you want to express but that's it. Character development is so awesome and really makes us warm up to them and feel engaged with a show... When they all of a sudden just pretend it never happened or make it all back paddle for no actual reason it's so infuriating! It's actually the number 1 reason I stopped watching Supernatural, the wa they kept stretching stuff by elapsing character development from SEVERAL seasons just drove me nuts and I couldn't handle it no more (it was right at the beginning of the season Dean goes full demon boyo). Watching the episodes previous and after the whole Saviour mini massacre was just me screaming and shaking my bf's arming asking why, why do they have amnesia, why are they brain dead.Though I have high hopes that, once one of them dies there, Rick will fill them with war spirit and blood lust, heuaheuhaheuahehu ❤️

And zombies are always really just an issue... for the first year or so when they are tons and very fresh. Like any apocaliptic society, it starts getting really dangerous when humans turn against each other and start making their gangues, societies and gated havens. Actually once I was doing a little ropleplay universe with a then friend that focused more on the issues of building up a facility as a new mini walled town and clashes between "communities". The zombies were kinda just there as the constant, less threatening dangerous environment. Really excited for this part of the show now that they are finally going to open up to more, bigger and already well established groups. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

SYFY gives me my all time guilty pleasure, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Aaah Spike, how I have missed you, ehauheua.

Personally I really liked both but I think the book is better. It's really well written and somewhat more raw than the series (like the sex scenes and such, they don't feel as pandering and more like a very real view into the time).

What, are you serious? Fuck, that sounds hard as shit,no idea how you managed but kudos to you, that sure is fighting and walking the limit line DDD: But it always ends like that right? Here a degree means nothing, everyone is a fucking doctor and either unemployed and nearly under a bridge or packing your groceries, IF lucky enough. I'm really scared for when I finish this. Have no idea what to do and, even if I continue studying, where the hell am I going to get money for that? I was actually told several times to apply for a disability certificate for more than 60% but hell with it because I know if I get that, 100% signing my death and living under a bridge for the rest of my life. Just no jobs for anyone at all. And to add to the funny image you posted, I actually had a scholarship but now got cut because, since I don't have the certificate, all my absences because of medical appointments and complications aren't justified so so I get no slack cut and thus no more scholarship //sigh At least my pizza gets 3 toppings Q H Q

Hueahuehaeu, I fully eat all my words up! We didn't go to the cinema cuz we found an abandoned cat (long story short, we had to put him down the following day because he had been run over by some piece of shit and left and had his intestines pushed all the way up into his lungs and barely any diafragma left to operate on, so he couldn't lie down or to the side for he stopped breathing... poor baby Oscar probably didn't sleep in days and yeah, a lot of suffering, crying but we had to do it); however before we knew the cat was so bad (only a few hours later did we notice he never lied down and thus when we discovered he didn't breath) we downloaded the movie and watched it... The quality was terrible but damn, it was actually pretty good! The critics were terrible but the fight scenes and the orcs and all that was 100% top, would watch again on the big screen!

I feel like I'll get really sad and hating humanity more after the movie but since what happened with Oscar, imma watch it today, I'm already pretty dead inside as is so if anything, I might find some morbid pleasure on it. I saw the devil was a great, positive surprise. No idea how it'd be well classified, because it has gruesome and tension moments but not really horror nor thriller, has cops and killers but not really a cop movie nor a chase movie, not really action packed either. Revenge movie, I guess? A very sad but entertaining revenge movie. Liked it better than Old Boy, personally!

It just really annoys me on how season past they couldn't trust any poor drifting person nor people that seemed pretty trustworthy (the recruiter from Alexandria) but now they question if Saviours are really a threat, even after all they heard and what happened with the Wolves at Alexandria and what they saw happen in the Top Hill colony. But according to what you say, it does make sense: they try to adapt a part from the books but, since they made so many changes between book and tv, it feels out of place when applied. :CCC

HUEAHEUHAEU THANK YOU THOUGH THOSE ARE ALL LIES????! I rarely get to practice and I suck so much, I can barely offer variety and shit, blah. Need practice but alas never get the time for it nor the right mood. NO, YOU GO GLEN COCO, 5 FOR YOU GLEN COCO. ?????(???´?)?????

Thank you very much for your applications! I'll be sure to get... someone to escort you to your new home. Which that'd be you're going to find out very, very soon ~

[.Oru] I'm all about how ruthless Rick has become over the seasons - especially because it isn't cruel or evil, in the way that Shane was with his level of ruthless, it's just really really practical. Like, people are bad, you have to be careful who you trust, and you have to take a lot of time before you give these people your trust. They've been burned so many times already.

And yeah - the zombies are always going to create challenging problems for the group, but they're definitely more of an environmental factor (the way the sun would be in the desert) at this point than they are an active and malicious force. In the very beginning I agree that they'd be way more of an issue than they are now haha.

I loooooooooooooove Buffy. I cannot, at this point, count the number of times I've seen each season. It's added to both my and my sister's Netflix streaming queue. Also...I own all the seasons. And have had to stop myself from buying the box set that has all 7 seasons in one giant block (because I don't need it - but it also has bonus stuff the other DVD sets don't have). I've also got the monster books for all the seasons (two volumes, I think the first is 1-4 then the second is 5-7). And I have a large chunk of the "season 8" comics haha. Spike is my jam. Spuffy is my OTP (they need a better name though) xD

Bless you for posting so soon because my last post had exceeded the character limit, heaheuueaheu.

BLESS, YOU GET RICKATORSHIP. There was development from how he was pure from the start to how he is now. He was carved by necessity, by trial (mistake and learning), by pain and mostly he does what is needed and is practical, not straight out psycho nor fully self absorbed. While I did not agree 100% with every single thing he did and thought some could have been handled better, I also never opposed any of his plans nor actions. He is their God and Saviour so people better listen, especially now that Michonne has fulfilled the Holy Trinity with him (she really helped keep him grounded in this season and guide him, she also one badass lord saviour).

Aaah, TWD, please come back nooow, I need you this summer asap qhq

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF, YES, LIKE YO BUFFY FANS, I'M REALLY HAPPY FOR YOU AND IMMA LET YOU FINISH, BUT SPUFFY WAS ONE OF THE BEST COUPLES OF THE WHOLE SHOW. He really got her and was always there for her, always, specially last season that everyone was a freaking judas to the person that HEY, IS ALWAYS RIGHT AND DOING BEST, GDI. Last season was the worst for me emotionally, always curled up crying and frustrated, heuaheuaheu.

When I was younger there was only was channel passing it and it was always random episodes, so I never saw it entirely with no missing episodes but now with SYFY I've finally seen almost all episodes of all season, just very few missing here and there (mostly on the season when Tania first appears).

BUT YOU GO YOU, LIVING THE LIFE, DAMN MIGHTY IMPRESSIVE COLLECTION. You can literally make the best marathon ever with your sister even... with the right food, sounds like heaven to me ???( ?????? ·? ??????? )

FROM THIS POINT ONWARD NO MORE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. I'm sending my -employees- out for a little purge during the course of this week as I pick my new successor. A word of advice though: please don't fight when the time comes, you'll only make it worse on yourself. Who is to say what your fate will be for sure, uhm? ~

[.Oru] Right?!? I agree so much haha. He went a little off his rocker for a bit, but Michonne has helped to stabilize that a lot (even before they were officially together). His growth into someone who doesn't balk at the hard stuff while still trying to do what is right/best is pretty great.

The final season of Buffy was so rough for her, you could see her trying her best to protect everyone and keep up a strong face and they just kept battering her from all sides. Yes, she got people hurt, but it wasn't for lack of trying to find other ways. Also, I love that he loved her even when he had no soul. Like, sure, Angel loved her too - but he was cursed with a soul (not a choice) years before they met. Spike literally did not have a moral compass to tell him things were wrong and yet he loved her and fought beside her, AND THEN HE WENT ON A QUEST TO GET A SOUL TO BE THE KIND OF MAN SHE DESERVED. I'm sorry, but this dude who has no reason to take on hundreds of years of guilt (because he knows that's what happens when your soul is returned), went and did it anyhow because he made a mistake and hurt her. He acknowledged that he did something wrong and tried to fix it.

I want you to know, Buffy is the thing that brought me and my sister closer haha. We fought a lot all the way up until she left for college, then while she was away she started watching it on Netflix, then she came home and we marathoned all of the seasons over her winter break. We both still watch it occasionally together, jumping around from season to season to find the episodes we like the best haha.
