Finally fishing watching a strangely shaped cloud float away, I look at the new boy! "Hi Merlin ()! You didn't get an ice cream?! Nyxx () you didn't get one either?!"

While Nyxx and Merlin we're talking quite a lot I decided to slink off and magic up some ice cream, everyone should have ice cream, it's a shame the store sold out but I knew how to make muggle ice cream and my mum even got me a machine to do it when she last visited.

On the way back to the field to give Nyxx and Merlin their ice creams, I noticed the babiest little dragon walking around on it's own, deciding to keep it company and wait for it's mum to get back I found a vine and tied the ice creams to Mushroom's fluffy head, "Bring these to Nyxx Mushroom, she'll know which is for who, they are colour coded after all! Then run back her quickly, I don't like not being able to see you" and with a big hug, I watched Mushroom run off without noticing the baby dragon was nibbling at my ear!!!

As she did so, Professor Sparks ushered in a few magical creatures into the petting zoo. The menagerie included a jarvey, a kneazle, a few nifflers, a couple of porlocks, and a dozen puffskeins.

Merlin listened to Nyxx ( ) while wishing to jump in and talk again, bad habit, but he managed to control his tongue. "I'm glad Luna is better then, it's totally natural for them to get a bit anxious when changed entirely from environment. I'm sure Spellz can be a good friend for her. I'm really good with creatures, and I love them." Thinking about what she said about Slytherin suddenly weighted in. "Yes, I am a Slytherin but don't think we are all bad, there are plenty of nice people we just tend to be a bit ambitious in some aspects." He giggles. "But I am very keen into learning myself, so I understand." He then looks to the other girl, Peng, and listened to her question. "No, I didn't get any ice cream." He shrugs feeling a bit down again.

"Oh look! They opened the petting zoo! I hope they have dragons! DRAGONS!" Without a warning he started running to the entrance, and then stops and looks back. "Are you coming or not?" He then saw his red flower had fallen down and went pick it up. "Yes, red one..for luck in love." He smiles and starts running again. "Catch me if you can!" Three steps after he trips and falls on his face. "Not again." -__-

Just when he was about to get up, he found Nyxx staring at him with a smile while offering ice cream. His face lights up with excitement, so he sits and takes the bowl. "Thanks....I am very clumsy and constantly trip on my clothes, or in nothingness." He looks side to side. "Where is Peng?"

Millie wasn't entirely sure where everyone went but when she heard Professor Persnickety accounce the opening of the petty zoo, she knew she had to go in. She was glad she left Cleo in the common room otherwise, there could have been problems. She walked in and made sure she had closed the gate all the way. The last thing that was needed was a puffskeins incident.

A little jarvey came up to her feet. "Oh aren't you adorable!" she said while she knelt down and started petting the little critter. anyone else

Watching Merlin () trip was totally hilarious, as Nyxx ran over to help him, I slipped the baby dragon into my pocket, "Don't worry, we'll find your mummy!" I told soothingly. Maybe their mum was in the zoo.

I was sure Nyxx () would search me on the way out so I had to find this baby's mum or they will be lonely! I saw Merlin eyeing me with some surprise so now I knew Nyxx had an acomplise to making sure I didn't have any more pets!

" Nyxx! Merlin! Look!!! " I shouted loudly while pointing behind them! As they both turned round I ran off to find the dragons! While running I spotted Millie () from the Care of Magical Creatures club petting a jarvey! I caught her eye and put my finger to my lips and said "shhh " while smiling, winking, and gesturing towards to Nyxx and Merlin looking for absolutely nothing in the sky!

Down near the back of the petting zoo there was a beautiful Hungarian Horntail in a cage but instead of being angry as usual, it's bright yellow eyes seemed sad. The dragon's black scales shimmered as if she'd been crying.... " I wonder.... " I mumbled as I took the baby out of my pocket and held it towards the big dragon!

It instantly shot over like a bolt and picked it's baby up by the tail! She then bowed her head as I petted her! I think this was her way of saying thank you... I wish someone had seen that as nobody is going to believe I got to pet a Hungarian Horntail sigh!

After Professor Persnickety announced the escapist, a large glass box appeared on the stage filled with Devil's Snare. The glass was enchanted so it let no light in, but audience members were still able to see what was going on inside. Nova was patted down by an assistant to show that Nova did not possess a wand, then was helped into a straight jacket--much like Houdini (who had never confirmed nor denied being a wizard himself). The assistant lowered Nova into the box and locked it closed behind him. The Devil's Snare began to take hold of him instantly. The assistant then covered the glass box with a tarp and waited.

Approximately sixty seconds went by before the tarp fell away and Nova appeared standing on top of the large glass box with the Devil's Snare unharmed.

Megan had gotten distracted by the new feature opening up. She read the sign about it being open to animagus and thought to herself "I wonder if I should try,. Her practicing had gotten her closer to a perfect change more every day and she was confident she could pull this off. Swallowing any anxiety she felt, she found a trash bin for her empty ice cream container and turned to Millie.

"Millie, I'm going to go with you to the petting zoo," she told her friend. "I want to try something."

She made her way to the small gathering of students and when she opened the gate, made sure to shut it behind her. She removed her wand from the concealed pocket of her skirt and pointed it at herself.

"Millie, please don't freak out! I've done this before, I promise!" she told Millie. She hadn't told any of her fellow House mates about her Animagus practicing; only the Headmistress and Transfiguration teacher knew. Taking a deep breath she soundlessly said the incantation and felt herself transform into the calico cat she'd come to appreciate the past few years.

"Mrow", the noise from the cat was deep and insistent. She walked her way through the crowd and went to talk to the hippogriffs.

Sam was offering her flower to one of the shaggy little porlocks, when she heard a rough cockney voice rudely haranguing someone. A Jarvey! She had a real fondness for the vulgar little weasels, and had been practicing her Brit' euphemisms to talk to the next one she met. Her broad western American accent however could not be disguised. "Ey you little tosser!" She called out to the oversize ferret "What dungpile d'you hide that mouth in before y'put it on today?" The jarvey, who had apparently taken exception to being called "cute" whipped around at the insult, and happily began to exchange a tirade of vulgarities with the grinning Slytherin girl.

Paddy had been so caught up in her homework, she'd almost forgotten about the Spring Festival. Spotting the sign to the petting zoo, she immediately made her way over there, carefully closing the first gate behind her. Sure, she'd met the nifflers and puffskeins in the Care of Magical Creatures club, but she was keen to see them again, and also any other creatures she hadn't come across before.

She idly wondered if any of the CoMC group would be there, as she opened the second gate.

Aderyn pondered what Millie had said about classes at Durmstrang, nodding as Emmy mentioned wanting to go somewhere warmer instead. She'd love to go and study at the school of magic in Brazil, or perhaps even the Japanese school. She just wanted to learn as much about magic as she could in as many ways as possible.

Taking Emmy's hand, she walked with the girl over to the enchanted flowery fortune field and glanced around. As Emmy selected one that turned blue in her hands, Aderyn spotted a flower that looked promising and she plucked it from the ground, giggling as a small shower of purple sparkles lit up the space around her hand and the flower turned a lovely shade of violet.

"Strength! I need that in excess, what with fae not exactly being known for it..."

She glanced around at her, Emmy, and Millie's flowers.

"I wish Gaia was here, I'm sure she'd have some fortunes to go along with these blessings for us!"

Merlin was confused as to why his new friend Peng () has suddenly asked him and Nyxx () to look up to the clear blue sky, and then he realized she was trying to change their attention from her. It could only mean she was trying to hide something from them, or him since she probably doesn't trust him. He sighs knowing most students from other houses never like or trusts Slytherins, so he decided not to ask about it and simply walk silently while eating his ice cream. "It's really good." But then he finally reached the petting zoo without tripping again and a smile was immediately drawn on his face. "Fantastic magical creatures!" He jumped like a bunny with excitement and declared: "I'm staying the rest of the day here, forget about the other events!" He quickly looked around trying to decide which way to go first. "Do you think they have dragons?" He asked to no one in particular but was hoping for an affirmative answer.

Emmy smiled as she watched purple smoke puff up around Aderyn's face.

Suddenly, Emmy gasped as she set eyes on the fence surrounding several different types of magical creatures. She squealed in excitement and reached for Aderyn's hand again.

"Petting zoo! Let's go!!" she said excitedly.

She ran over, quickly taking off her ring and earrings as she approached, seeing that there were nifflers among the critters, stuffing the jewelry into a hidden pocket inside her dress.

She approached a kneazle and was stroking it when she noticed the porlocks, hanging out shyly in a corner. She approached quietly, non-threateningly, holding out a hand to them, trying to encourage them to come closer.

Millie sat petting the jarvey and she saw Peng and a few of her friends point and run towards a caged horntail. "I'll go check him out later. You seem to enjoy the pets."

Megan walked in and whispered to Millie she wanted to try something and not to freak out. "Okay" she said keeping an open mind. She watched Megan transform herself into a cat with a little top hat on. "Ohh, look at you and your little top hat and bow tie" she giggled reaching to pet Megan's new form. "Can I tell you a secret? I've been thinking about teaching myself the spell for the past couple of weeks. I just haven't had any time nor do I know what animal I would choose." Millie whispered. Megan let out a little meow and walked off.

The jarvery seemed to have lost interest and wandered off. She heard Aderyn mention Gaia. "Yeah, I wonder where she is." Millie asked out loud to herself.

Millie was disappointed that she didn't think to wear anything shiny to get a niffler's attention. Instead, a kneazle walked up to her. "Hello" she said and started petting it. Emmy and Aderyn had walked into the petting zoo and Emmy was offering her flower to one of the porlocks anyone else

As I was standing watching the Horntail play with her baby, I noticed Merlin () walking down to the dragon.

"Lovely isn't she? I said to him! He smiled and nodded in agreement.

As I stood in a comfortable silence with Merlin I noticed that Nyxx () wasn't here. I get panicky when I don't where she is. " Where did Nyxx go? I asked Merlin.

Aderyn yelped in alarm as Emmy pulled on her hand a moment after she'd gotten her fortune, turning her attention to the petting zoo the headmistress had announced. As they approached it, Aderyn could see porlocks, nifflers, and puffskeins, among other things. She patted herself down as Emmy took off her jewelry, making sure she had none of her own to worry about. Deciding she was safe, she stepped into the paddock with Emmy, glancing around and stooping down to pet a few puffskeins that had wandered over to sniff at her. At the same time, she watched Emmy with the porlocks, seeing that they were having a bit of trouble coming to trust her.

"They're distrustful of humans," Aderyn stated, figuring Emmy knew that since she knew practically everything about all magical creatures, great and small, anyway, but wanting to be sure. "Maybe if you turn into a cat?"

I finished my cone of blueberry ice cream in time to notice that I was walking alone. Brushing my hands together I looked ahead to see Peng () & Merlin () bouncing and pointing to a pin that suddenly burst with a roar. Ah dragons. She thought as she smiled and walked that way. Coming upon a panicky Peng I softly take her hand in mine and come to stand near here. "I didn't mean to worry you I was so busy eating the ice cream I lost track of you two. I have never seen a dragon up close, they look... More beautiful than scary. I know that Peng has a fondness for animals but it looks like you have a liking to dragons Merlin." I said as we strained to get a good look into the pin.

The final act was ready to begin, for those who were watching. Desdemona Blaze and Arkha Solarys joined Professor Persnickety on the stage as they applauded for Nova the Escape Artist, who had just stepped down.

"And now last, but certaintly not least, for their first time as a duo, our next act will be doing a pyrotechnic display! Let's all welcome Desdemona and Arkha!" Professor Persnickety applauded as she left the stage to allow for the two to start their act.

The chords Desdemona was holding immediately ignited, and she began to do an elaborate dance with several flips and twists. While Desdemona started, Arkha prepared herself dead center stage. Desdemona began to orbit around Arkha. After a few moments Arkha tossed her head back and let out a silent roar, breathing flames approximately ten feet into the air. With Desdemona looping around Arkha's back, Arkha shifted her head down to bring the flames horizontal. As Desdemona reached Arkha's front, she flipped over the flames with ease. The flames spewed from Arkha's mouth ceased, however new flames sprouted from the tips of her hair. She joined Desdemona in a sort of dance, flipping and looping around each other. The flames then started to change color, from orange to yellow to red and blue--and even including colors like pink and green. Though it was their first time performing together, it seemed as though they had been doing it for years.

I barely heard Peng () when she asked me about Nyxx () because I was too enthralled with the mesmerizing Horntail. "Wow, so big, stunning! And the baby is just as tiny as my..." I coughed, I almost gave away the fact that I, Merlin Pendragon, had a dragon of my own, my baby Meolc. "I mean, how cute!" Suddenly I felt another presence, and it was no other than Nyxx herself. I heard her question and smiled. "I love dragons, we are kin. I feel a special, strong connection toward them, something I cannot explain. It's like I can understand them and they can understand me...well not that I have faced that many dragons." I laughed, because in fact I had seen several dragons in my life, but I couldn't say that. Back home, it was a secret place for breeding dragons, and nearby were several dragon nests. It was dangerous, but I loved it. "I miss home in ways...I guess." There was a sigh and a moment of longing that pass away as soon as the dragon roared, and moved his head to pushed his little baby forward, leading it toward me. I showed him my hand and it touched his snout against my palm, and at that moment I was entirely sure, that they could indeed understand me and it was their way of showing it. "Thank you little buddy." I smiled and looked at my two new friends and said. "Isn't he lovely? I think I will name him Lost."
