Just because things like achievements and not having multiple of the same item isn't in place for galleries now doesn't mean it won't ever be. These things can change at any point, doesn't mean aspects of a site should be removed because some people think those things are pointless.

Do away with vaults in that case, since we can also throw in 3k of whatever item we find aesthetically appealing. A gallery just means that we have a place to put them and the chance to show them off. You aren't stopping anyone from collecting anything with this suggestion, just a push of where some put them (and in many cases, a push to put them where they can't show them off). There are ten reasons to counter each one of your reasons.

I think there are so many things piontless for me personal. But who am I to judge? I have benefit to sell items when other users are happy to put them in their gallerie.

Use the categories feature in your vault. That's what it's there for: Organization.

But I can't also make notes for which pets the multiples belong to, all in one place, in my vault. Currently I can use a gallery to keep all things related to my pets' TCs in one place. If I use my vault, I'm not only going to need categories for each pet (which can't be rearranged so if I ever want to make a NON-TC related category, everything is going to be all mixed together and harder to follow) but I'm also going to need to use a word document, or yet another section in my notepad widget to keep track of where the doubles go. And then I better hope I don't need a food item or a potion or anything else for both a TC and another purpose, because then I need to find somewhere to make a note of that and make sure I keep perfect track of what category I put it into when I need to take one of the copies out to use.

the categories feature for vaults doesn't help when five of your pets all need a first aid kit and you can only assign the stack to one category. i can split it into 2+ stacks with multiple galleries, but i only have one vault.

The only reason my method is confusing is if I had to put my items in my vault. The reason I use a gallery is because that gallery ONLY holds TC items. I keep notes in the gallery description to keep track of where doubles go, but I know exactly what all those items will all be used for (TCs). None of the foods or potions or wearables belong anywhere but a TC. In my vault, I'm going to have to make a shitload of notes as to where things go because I already store foods and potions and things in my vault.

i buy tc items a lot faster than i buy tc slots, and once i have the items i kinda need somewhere to put them all in the interim, be that a shop or a gallery or a vault (and with twenty pets, the hoard builds pretty quickly).

If they go in your TC, put them in your TC. Why would they be in your gallery?

Exactly, put them in your vault. If TCs mean that much to people, you can create a notes document with the relevant details. Yeah, it's not as simple, but it's not difficult either.

Because I'm not ready to put them in the TCs yet? It helps me organize them better this way (not to mention, I can't necessarily afford to buy dozens of new TC slots when I get new items for some of my pets with larger general TCs).

I just think it's rather silly to appease one person instead of retire a function that glorifies hoarding. I mean, retiring the achievements for item hoarding is a good start, but why collect 900 red balls if you can only show one red ball off?

I don't understand why you want to make this more complicated than it has to be.

Is it because of hoarding? Subeta itself kind of promotes the hoarding in the first place. Killing (or severely limiting) galleries is just going to piss a lot of users off. That's not something staff wants to do if they want to keep their userbase happy enough to spend real money on the site.

If it's not galleries holding the item hoards, it'll be vaults. If it's not vaults, it'll be stacks of hundreds of (unpriced) items left to sit in user shops. Hell, I'm notorious for letting my shop stock pile up over the course of 4-6 months! Pretty sure I'm not the only one who does that.

If I want to use a gallery to hoard TC items for later use, or hold a stock of 500 frilly pink panties, or hold thousands upon thousands of free beers for the recycle beast - what's it to you? 😕 Why do you want to control how I play the site?

I don't understand this fierce agenda against galleries tbh.
