I see so many deer lately. They've become bold in the quarantine. A large bullfrog has also moved into a pond behind my house and while I've never seen him, I've heard him croak and I heard him splash into the water. I'll get him one day.
I discovered a common whitetail dragonfly for the first time.

it was this. I could see it on the sidewalk outside my window and had no idea what it was, I kept using binoculars to look at it but could not identify it for the life of me. From the distance, all I could see was the white butt and dark parts of its wings and not the transparent part so it looked like it had weird flags for wings or that it looked like a tiny . After a quick google of local dragonflies I realized it had to be this thing. :)
Squirrels, some American robins on my lawn, and grasshoppers.
So...many...grasshoppers.
I went on a hiking trip in Colorado and I saw a moose! It was a bull with giant antlers
I was outside, and saw a huge black wasp. It was two or three inches easy.
I have a Humming bird feeder hanging from my deck. So I've seen quite a few Humming bird lately. They're amazing.
My wife and I took a trip into the Smoky Mountains for our 5 year anniversary and saw a black bear.

On the rural east coast, mostly just deer and wild turkeys running in front of me on the road.
The two red foxes that live across the road in a gone-wild lot of land opposite my apartment building! That was a couple of weeks ago, though. Today I saw a few hooded crows and a few magpies. I was walking home from work in the afternoon, and heard a ruckus, and when I looked up to nearby rooftops, a few of both birds were yelling at each other. lol
Yesterday, driving home from work I saw a black bear! It was very busy digging up roots and probably getting chonkers for hibernation. I got fairly close and took some pictures and it hardly cared or noticed me.
I live in a small town on the coast and here it's actually very common to find a bird called quero-quero (sorry I don't know how it's called in english because they are originally from South America but you can google it and you will see what a curious creature).
They lay their eggs on the ground, and a lot of times this means hidden places in the streets. And it's funny because I go out walking my dog and when I cross a street that's their territory, a group of around 3 birds come to intimidate us, gliding low towards our heads and shouting in their little bird's voice.
I see rabbits in my back yard pretty often now, it's so nice. Wish I was able to feed them without scaring them, though.
User since 2012, still not sure what I'm doing. [tot=Sample] // [flower=Sample]
Saw a hawk the other day but I'm not sure what species. It was just chilling on a sign watching the ground for prey. A fox also ran down our front steps a while ago. There've been a lot more foxes around lately. Coyotes too.
