I wouldn't get my hopes too high on the Body Horror Extravaganza aspect of it though. Extra tails, eyeballs where they shouldn't be, etc should be fine, but I would not want to be the artist who has to make Dragarth's design still make sense with five extra legs

I am always a fan of extra legs. Sleipnir is the coolest thing. Legeicas with eight legs. Yes please.

I really,really,really,really want this to happen. I LOVE all the rift items and having it as an option for my pets would just make me so happy.

I'm all for Rift pets (love the colours), especially if they end up with that 'tainted' kind of style - a Legeica with 6 legs and two mouths would be worth it! :D :D

Oh my, I'm so loving this idea. :D We need rift-coloured pets, mutated, twisted ones. :D I can already imagine a six-legged Legeica. ^_^

I have another rift item which I think is actually rather cute:

I would like this if the designers didn't go too extreme with modifications (5 extra legs is a bit much, but 2 is easier to work with, for example). I also don't think every pet would have to look 'crazy' to make this color work with them, and mild pets would be pretty unlikely to go crazy unless they have a history of snapping under stress or something. Pets like Mortiking and Darkonite would probably enjoy going crazy, though! :D

A colorfill is a definite no--it HAS to have strange traits to be riftborn, even partially!

Now, if they wanted to add a new PET which was riftborn by nature (besides the experiment, but an ACTUAL pet with the same color palettes), that could have 9 legs and a dozen eyes for all I care. :P

while the experiment makes me think of darkmatter and storm pets, the color scheme is PERFECT! Considering they could have some sort of mutation, this color has a lot of potential. - it might also be cheaper for some of us to use a potion on the pet than commission some artist to draw an overlay ;p [which i may do right now anyways]

Yesssss please! ;_; I remember when the plot first came out that I had hoped a Rift Potion would be a prize. :'( I agree that a Rift colour should also mutate pets to be like the rift monsters.
