I've decided to wait out those price inflations (my guess is once the novelty wears off, people will stop paying astronomical prices - we're talking mundane to normal items here!). Until they get to a normal level, I'll stick to hoarding quest prices and fishing in the donation corner.

I know the feeling :( I did not buy it at 9mill, but it was certainly a few million when I bought it last night before they released it again.

I heard one of the mods released some free ingredients into the donation corner but you know how it goes, people are flocking there. You can still try though :)

That sounds like an interesting place to work. I think as long as the work is worthwhile and interesting it's okay for it to come home with you. How go your studies? There seem to be a few of us in school at the moment. I can see why you'd want the auto pricer. I still hand price my shop but I'm so busy I only do it on my days off.

It's always annoying when that happens. If you have a few tokens to spare maybe you can vend some of the items you need? Though that might work for when you have a few more things to try.

It's a very neat idea. I am feeling better thanks for asking. ^^ My cold is clearing up nicely though I am worried I might have given my cold to my flatmate. The remains of the stitches are getting better and there shouldn't be any marks left in a few weeks. ^^ How are you finding your classes? Are they interesting?

At the moment I'm in the middle of completing some work (tied me up all day... Grrrrr) but since I only have my thesis left, I'm not that busy with my studies (yet).

It's my Bachelor thesis and I'll have to complete a Master's degree to be taken seriously. sigh

That's not a bad thing. Enjoy it. :) I finished my BA and went into full time work but I missed learning so I went and joined another course. I'm hoping to get my second degree soon and I'm really enjoying being back among the books. I'm sure you'll do amazingly. What subject are you studying?

At least burning them gives you some experience. Maybe it would be better to wait until things start to balance out?

For me it's the other way around... XD I like working and while I don't mind learning, all the scientific writing is not my cup of tea. I enjoy practical application much more. I'm studying psychology with a focus on industrial, organizational and work psychology. That field of psychology only deals with healthy people (as soon as they suffer from mental problems, they're someone else's business), like deciding which applicant fits the company and the job the best, offering career councelling, designing work processes so that they fit the humans executing them, ...

I really recommend waiting until the first hype is over. A lot of those items will drop to a normal level (which they will if Keith's restocking algorithm works they way he intended it to).

I think Im just going to stick to grabbing the basket out of the millionaire center. Thats not a bad price for the crap ton of items you get! Im working on a chocolate cake right now, once thats done, and ITS DOESN'T BURN FOR GODS SAKE.. Ill be off to target!

That makes sense. I can see why the practical side is more interesting than using scientific terminology to describe the results. Is this to help a specific company chose the right people or provide guidelines for industry?

Both are possible. To help a specific company is usually as an employee while working out guidelines is more liekly done by an independent consultant (although it doesn't necessarily have to be that way). Providing general guidelines, on the other hand, is the job of scientists.

Can you reverse it? Help a person work out where they would work as an employee? Are those the only options in terms of goals for this kind of thing or are there others?

It's not necessarily reversing so much as looking at the matter from a different perspective. Those are the options that are the most interesting for me. Wikipedia provides a nice list of topics for that particular field here. :-)
