Unfortunately last night I tried to take off my skin to get another. VIP wasn't updating. Figured the wardrobe was just lagging (happened last time I took it off but fixed itself quickly). Wait longer. Still no. Forget to check again.

Turns out I apparently just didn't save the damn avatar with it's skin off (or it didn't take), AKDJFBSDG. I get that the skins are just 'how it works' now but I wish using VIP would automatically take it off. Especially with the v3 wardrobe being finickier than the dickens.

Does anyone know the current waiting time?

It has been more than 48 hours since I paid for for "Tropical, Daring" and I still don't have any signs of being infected.

"You've still got some time to wait, but you will receive an event once you've received your chosen virus!"

This isn't very fun, tbh.

Ik they said it was a shorter wait time in between stages of progression but for mine its still 12hrs so no diff for me.

You need to go get bites if you want to advance any quicker. :(

Also, as we get closer to the end, I am worried about the last day. I bet a LOT of people will be trying to get infected on the last day, so they can continue progressing after the event. But if everyone is looking to get bitten, there may not be enough biters. Can the wait time be removed at least on the last day? I am worried that people will pay for a virus but not get infected before the end of the event... which would mean they'd lose their sP, right? I know that if you get infected you keep progressing, but with people taking days to JUST get infected... how will that work at the end?

You don't have to be bitten to be infected, so people wouldn't be losing their sP without biters. It just takes forever(3+ days?).

I know how it works. It still shouldn't take 48+ hours to just get infected... especially with decreased waiting times. I'm fine waiting longer than people who are getting bites (I've had food poisoning for the last two days so asking for bites hasn't been a priority), but this is still ridiculous and really not fun.

Oh, I know that you don't have to be bitten, but my concern is, when do they turn off the queue? Like, at midnight, if you haven't been matched with a specialist, and you continue to wait, you will still get infected, right? Or will they just turn off the switch at midnight? I am assuming they would keep it going, but confirmation would be nice... especially since we may have to wait three days to see it, and if we are not sure... I know I would be freaking out if I paid my sP at 11:50pm and couldn't find biters... and three days pass with no signs of infection. I would really prefer that they change it so if you sign up on the last day, you receive it right away. Or that anyone in the queue receives their virus by midnight on the last day. Just so you don't have to worry about 'will I still get infected even if the event is over.'

No, I totally agree with that part. The wait is ridiculous and unreasonably long. :C Hopefully you can get some bites today and start progressing at least!

Now that Pandemic's almost over....the site's just gonna keep crashing. So the last day? it will probably be down the entire time. Getting a strain, let alone trying to bite people, will be impossible.

Im on the last stage and havent bad my skin unlocked. Is this normal?

If it is, that is another thing that is silly.

- Check your wardrobe and see if that virus is still grayed out or not. If it's in color, it should be unlocked.

I didn't get an alert last night when I hit stage 8 of gross fungus, but it still shows up in my wardrobe as being unlocked.

2 days at least for the one i brought and still nothing

I was infected on 2/24 around 7:40pm with Boobitis. The virus reached stage 8 just before 3am today. So thats around 79 hours?

Also I didn't get a notification either that I reached stage 8. It just disappeared from my HA but showed up in my wardrobe. :/ Made me freak out when I saw it was gone.

My last strain took about 10-13 hours for each stage, which was nice. This one finally progressed after over 16 hours waiting. I thought the time was supposed to be shortened near the ending (For the record, I am going off of the time I got the notification of my infection at 1:28pm and f5ing my preview)

I was infected via being bitten at about 12:40pm on 2/25. I still seem to be a couple of stages away from completion. How was this supposedly sped up?

Well well well - here I thought getting a 4th wouldn't be possible. But right on the last day my Doom Bloom finished. Amazing - then again, I heard the new strains for this year would take less time to progress than this year's, and with the viruses progressing slightly faster - this helped a lot!!
