last sunday, we had 13 consistent hours of heavy rain it was pretty incredible. but i mean, hey, no school.

True, although don't you have to make it up? I thought I saw where they excused like 2 of the days or something because of the disaster declaration or something, but not the whole week. IDK though, our schools here didn't close except for one district for some reason.

yeah, we do. I go to school next tomorrow but right now there isnt any news of making it up. haha. it's started raining again, though, so that's pretty wild.

I know, it's been overcast here too most of the day. Even without any more rain, they're saying it could take weeks or even a couple of months for the water to go all the way back down in some areas, that's insane. And you know it's going to rain more because of course it will, so it's just going to be a mess for a while I think. D:

there haven't been any calls from our district, so that means I'm going no matter what tomorrow, but it may change haha. i'm kind of hoping it will but also kind of scared, y'know? Haha, it's started picking up really bad just now.

Hopefully it doesn't last as long this time. We really don't need any more rain right now, can't we like push it over to California or something?

The shops being empty and not restocking frequently enough has been brought up on the feedback forums, and last I heard they are aware of the issue and are looking into it. So hopefully something can be done about it soon.

Ah I didn't realize they weren't restocking enough too, it seemed like they were clearing far more often... I was trying to buy something and suddenly it was saying the item wasn't there and when I went back sure enough the shop was empty, it'd had a good 15 items or so before. :/

Yeah, I think they've been clearing on the hour, at least that's what I gathered from that thread. But I also saw people posting about how a lot of shops were going 30 to 45 minutes with no new stocks, that doesn't leave enough time every hour to be able to get stuff...

In fact, it started pouring just now. RIP Houston, we'll be an underwater village if this keeps up.

I'm thinking that it may have been partially intentional, but something got messed up along the way and became more extreme than they meant it to be.

Seriously though, hope it calms down soon, destructive weather is a pain.
