It's not a good thing if the challenger becomes nigh on unbeatable because people are no longer interested in the only (current) team way of beating it. Kind of a funny way to do things!

I've lost patience with the troll, but I'm holding out hope that maybe there's a limited pool of weapons that can work, especially since there have already been some repeats. That should make it a bit easier for people to get it later on even without the teamwork method.

Seems an ineffective way of having a challenger, and not much use for people who start battling / join the site a long time after the challenger is released!

Indeed, whilst some of us have been lucky and can get online a fair bit, short events must be a bit frustrating for anyone who gets offlined for a while during the period.
