I've had that happen many a time - that's when I sell. :-) I'm not good at keeping things that I don't really like.

We are opposite, I hold onto things until I haven't used them in like a year. It's bad... I need help. >.<

lots of things can damage our hair and the last time I had a trim (earlier this year) the lady I went too was so judgemental about me not wanting to use a ton of products or heat tools on my head. I still find that a bit strange only because she was like "oh your hair is sooo soft"! Haven't been back or gone anywhere else and I really need too it's been way over the normal time frame for me to get a trim. At least you learned that that combination (the extreme bleaching and heat) wasn't a good mix, even more so if it was platinum in an instant instead of gradually.

it's only 10 am here and I'm ready to crawl back in bed and sleep, sleep, sleep. Then again I suppose that could be caused by the fresh juice I made earlier to help with my adrenal fatigue. Hope your day goes by smoothly!

LOL sometimes... I'm not very patient, so I sometimes throw stuff up in trades (like now) but if it doesn't sell I just toss back in my wardrobe till I feel like trying again. I have pawned a few things but I have to really dislike something to do that. If I'm lukewarm at all about it, I keep it. :P

I also hate pawning things because it's just such a rip off... lol :P I likewise only do the pawn shop if it is something I can't stand looking at any longer and nobody will take it off my hands! lol

Yessss... I am amazed at how often items are pawned though by others. Blows my mind!

[edit] Awww, thanks!! When I came back from my hiatus and changed my username, I did a full account overhaul and adopted out all my pets (except for Meowberry who was renamed to fit the pop tart theme) and created all new ones. :)

It does blow my mind how the pawn shop gets so full and others pawn things so easily.

with the pawning of items, I am ok with it, I just don't understand those that pawn as soon as an item is released. I use the pawn shop too as a last resort, I always try to sell first.

I didn't realize some pawn on release... is it extras from batches or people who get it then change their mind after trying it and it not fitting like they thought?

it can be both. It was real bad there for awhile, now not so much so. But still happens.

I have a batch extra from one of my wigs in trades that will likely be heading to the pawnshop. Been trying to sell it for a month now with no nibbles. And while I don't like pawning things, it is a last resort. Can't imagine people pawning things as soon as they are released, seems really wasteful and inconsiderate. At least possibly try and sell it in a trade or gift it. I think the CW gifting board doesn't help all that much either, as I see a ton of the same items being regifted time and again.

Hai, all~ I've never poked into here before, but I'm trying to get more into the social side of Sub, which I'm /really/ bad at. I tend to be quiet and reserved everywhere I go, but I do love wigs! I try to fight it, let's just say it doesn't go so well. XD

Oooh, maybe we should bring back to the WAA monthly wig swap... we could put a rule in place of must be 300 csc pawn value to avoid people just dumping old wigs they can't sell (unless it's on their WL).

I'm kinda sad I missed that... lol... I love all the new wigs but can't bring myself to buy them at full slot price. Since I rarely have csc, I'd rather get two wigs than one full priced one.

Welcome!! I was JUST talking about the wig you are wearing with this morning! Is it new?? I hadn't seen it before today! We actually are having a similar design commissioned - not enough nice dread wigs on the site. :)

Aha, yeah, Hollis had commented me asking about it. XD It's not new though, about a year old now. It was released by : I am def in support of nicely done dreads! I recently saw those RastaDog Dreads, a priv I believe, and I really liked their style as well.

Ya, Witchy ran it as part of the monthly event... oh gosh, 3 or 4 years ago?? Not sure how long it lasted, I started my hiatus and it was still going. Basically she asked everyone who wanted to participate to msg her and she'd assign everyone a name a few days before the first of the month and let everyone know privately so they could send it. I think everyone sent the gifts anonymously??? It's been too long, I can't remember for sure.

The first of the month we all dress up with a wig of a specific color, September 1st is red. :) I have all the upcoming colors in my siggy for those who want to plan ahead. :)

Ooh, I can SO do red. Tons of red wigs over here, from ginger to blood, from short to long, from down to updo, LOL~

ah, fun stuff, scorpions are interesting from a distance for me personally, lol.

well perhaps we can think about doing on next month once folks settle in with their new schedule. And of course if anyone knows how it was ran before we could try that way or just post all the wigs available from each other and then see who would like to swap, perhaps. :)
