plus, i've got to put a "traveling" outfit on, since i'm going to be gone from thursday to tuesday.

so i won't be around for the end of the snowman battle. if i can, i'll do a little bit through my phone, but i'm really not planning on doing any thing serious.

oooo, i got a couple of the jeweled spiders. :( i was so disappointed. 2 of them looked great. but the other 3 i had gotten, (from different suppliers), looked cheap and blah.

mmmm, i should have the info on those 2 that i liked. i need to think about ordering a couple of more.

i read a story, where he was a 'thief' and he used these little nano/mechanical spiders to help him.

ACK I poofed from these forums again. I'm back I promise I'll try to not disappear for a few days while in the middle of a convo. D:

I've heard of a bunch of those, my favorites include: Sushi Go! (because the art is so freaking adorable), Coup, Lords of Waterdeep (I honestly never played it without the Skullport expansion) Ticket To Ride (I actually don't mind Europe, but I think I like the original just a bit more since I have the 10th anniversary edition and it's with adorable trains and gorgeous new art) Also TTR: Marklin is actually quite fun too because it includes the playing component of a traveler for some more points etc.. I also really like a game I backed on Kickstarted called Lanterns and a game called Codenames. Honestly, if it's a cutesy game I probably would like it too, but my favorite mechanic I'd say is worker placement games.

I have played games like Dominion and such but personally I don't like the theme of Dominion, so I prefer other such games. I actually prefer Ascention over Dominion because the theme just appeals to me more, but if it was more cutesy I'd like it more. I did actually play Tanto Cuore which is in the same kind of mechanic as the other two (card drafting). Though that's just more anime/boobsy/colorful but not cutesy, but I definitely like it a lot better.

Yeah, I need to learn how to explain games better so that I can introduce people to some games, (often times I end up like calling someone over who can explain better than I can because it'll be faster but sometimes they're already in on a game).

I haven't played the 10th anniversary Ticket to Ride yet, I should - I have a few friends who have it, just haven't made it a priority yet. Oooooh Lanterns... I had wanted to kickstart it but actually kinda forgot about it.. whoops! I know I've played Dominion... don't remember Ascension but that doesn't mean I haven't tried it, if I did it wasn't very memorable though. Was only meh on Dominion, tried it so I can say I've played it but there are so many other games I like more that I haven't gone back to give it another try yet. Among the Stars is card drafting and I like the theme of building a space station. Definitely recommend trying it. Still need to try with the expansions, and buy the remaining ones we don't have yet. Have you played Fairy Tale before? Its very similar to Sushi Go! but a little more advanced. Instead of strict numbers for sets you have more interactions than multiply and you have cards that flip and unflip cards in play that can be used quite strategically to help yourself or hurt your opponent's scores.
