Maybe this is a bit closer. ;w; I can't remember what eye/lip color I was using. XD I might be missing some of the accent items that helped me pick an eye color.
[edit] I got a screen cap. I had a page open on my laptop that I hadn't refreshed. c:

Thanks. So far we've had to shave the dog, but now that means we also have to find doggie sunblock to put on him. If he loved water, we'd probably just take him into the pool we have out front. As for the DLC I could probably play it IF I rant my Qunari Inquisitor through the Main quest, however I'm wanting to try and finish up all the companions quests and I'm not sure if I can handle the snow dragon I'm being sent after by a certain prissy mage >_> (note he's 21 and the dragon was showing as being a 12 so not sure lol)
aww... yeah a friend of mine bought me the DLC as a birthday gift cause they were buying it for themselves :D
Aw, poor doggy. If you have any feed stores or places that sell horse farm-related things nearby, I think they should have sunblock that would work on a dog. c: We used to have to buy sunblock for our horses' noses and it worked alright on our dog after she had surgery and had to get part of her fur shaved.
Nice! I just finished doing the same thing with my elf mage. XD I've played through JoH twice, I think? Once with an archer and once with a mage. That dragon is really tough to fight (especially if you don't use masterwork items that build guard for you and you're on the lower side of the 20's in level). I'd recommend fighting him after you hit level 23 at least, but you also level up quite a bit during the DLC (before the ice dragon). XD So, you could start after your finish up your companion quests. c: It could just be me though. XD I enjoyed the fights in JoH, but they were kinda tough at times!
Oh I'll mention that to the husband.
I'm tempted to do a play through were I don't take the companions I never really seem to take through any of the quests when I leave Haven or Skyhold... most likely a dumb move but I really am curious.
I hope it helps! c:
Nice! That would be interesting to see! :o Ugh. I need to play through JoH now and get screenshots of all the gorgeous scenery. XD I don't think there were any puzzles that required 2 or more people... There were some locked doors that may be useful though (don't think they were critical though). And I'm kind of tempted to make an inquisitor based on the roman senator I have to pretend to be in one of my classes, just for kicks. XD
There are people you don't ever take with you? I can see where you wouldn't take whichever party member is the same class/specialty as you for a specific play through -- but you have the same people you use to the exclusion of others for EVERY file? Or am I reading that wrong?
EDIT:
Looking at this, I'm not sure how my comment came across -- I meant it as a question. I was curious as to why is all. I am always looking to try new combos in new places, etc... for the dialog. I hadn't thought about that there may be advantages/comforts to using the same characters repeatedly.
It's okay I understood that you meant it as a question. For me I have found that other than dialog or companion quests, some party members just seem to be ... cannon fodder easier than others. Example: Cole.. Nothing I do seems to make him stronger, Sera for me seems weak in ranged when compared to Varric. Vinnie (Miss Prissy as I call her) seems more weak in her spells when compared to Solas or Dorian (I tend to stick to Dorian however). As for a Warrior I tend to trade around Cassandra, Blackwall/Blackwell or Iron Bull. So yeah I always feel bad that Sera, Cole and Vinnie get left back at Haven/Skyhold unless I'm doing their companion quests or want to move their conversations along.
Cole -- or any dagger wielding rogue -- does more damage than any other class. In my current play through, both his daggers do over 500 damage. Add in his bonus damage from weapons and attacks and he can do literally tens of thousands in damage on one combo. I just craft his daggers and make sure at least one of them has guard on hit for a masterwork. A friend didn't believe he was that effective either. I had him take Cole in the class and take on the third dragon in Emprise. He now takes Cole everywhere he can and will not be a warrior in his next file -- he's fallen in love with rogues. I also have him wear grenades belts and load up on bees. Cole, I mean -- not my friend. LOL
I think you get the most from your party's weapons and armor if you craft them. Just look for guard on hit and caltrops MW for the party members that don't generate their own guard. I have used both Cole and Viv to pretty much take down dragons all by themselves to show friends a different perspective. Viv's knight specialty means her barrier never fails. And -- even better than guard -- elemental damage won't bypass barrier. She can easily kill a dragon all by herself. More easily than her male counterparts. They don't have her barrier strength.
Also, I dk if you do this or not, I always assign each mage the same element. It's easier than thinking. So Dorian is always fire, etc... And even tho Viv comes with a cold damage staff -- Solas is already on that tree by the time you get Viv, so I give her electricity. She gets neglected whenever I play as a mage tho. I am always electric now -- I tried them all and it's far and away my fav mage tree. And all my mages get the barrier stuff from the spirit tree. Great defensive stuff there.
then I must be doing something wrong with him and Vinnie as they are some of my weakest 'players' While Iron Bull, Dorian and Varric tend to be my strongest players.
Do you craft or buy/find weapons?
I'm not sure what would make good crafting weapons. And I can't seem to find any guides on recipes. :(
For making weapons, the most important thing is the schematic. You can have a good schematic and lousy materials and still get a good weapon. Do you have any of the DLCs?
I just got them all recently yes. I have a lot of the schematics I just don't think I have the right materials.
You probably already do this, but when you get a good schematic, just remember to use the golden nug. Then in subsequent files you can access them! :)
The DA: wikia is a great resource for the schematics and where to get them all and which ones are best, etc... It is my fav DA resource.
Just use whatever materials you have at hand to begin with. I'm a compulsive collector as it is, so I naturally hoard stuff. If you are not defective like me, then you can purchase various materials from merchants (wikia has that info too) and craft that way. The great thing about crafting is that there is no minimum level required. Don't like the way a sword turned out? Just make another. As a general rule tier one materials do 1 damage per material used. Tier three materials do 2 damage, etc... So a sword made from iron may only do 24 base damage, but the same sword made from obsidian would 36 and if it is made from silverite it will do 48 damage. So you can simply reuse your favorite schematics as you find better materials.
It also allows you more freedom to tailor the weapon. You can use utility slots to add to base stats, or use the slots for attack/defense -- whatever. You just try different things and see what you like best. For example, my fav two-handed weapon schematic is the Chromatic Greatsword Schematic you get in Trespasser. No rune slot, but it does additional random elemental damage and has 279 AOE/315 DPS with T4 materials. Because of the nug, I can get it at Haven in my next file. That means Iron Bull will be starting out with a weapon made from iron doing 207AoE/234 DPS at the beginning of the game! :)
Anyway, my point is to just try different things to see what you like best. If you're kind of leery about crafting, just play on casual so you can think more about how any given weapon is performing rather than worrying about enemies.
You'll find your preference for different slots in different weapons. I tend to use a lot of things with utility slots to boost characters stats. A friend of mine thinks offense is more important, so he uses weapons with those slots. There is no right or wrong -- we just have different ways we each play.
And any tier 1-3 materials will reappear so you can go back and harvest them again and try something different. I tend to farm the flooded caves in Crestwood for stormheart as an example. That gives Viv a staff with over 100 DPS early in the game. I'll also go thru repeatedly and up other characters weapons if I feel they aren't doing as well as they should be at that point.
Just by trying different things as you play through again and again, you'll always be discovering new things. That is the number one reason this game series is my favorite. I am always discovering new dialog, new ways to tweak weapons or armor, new quests, etc... :)
thanks for that guidance. and the link... now to make sure I save up for the golden nug.
You get the nug automatically. It's in your undercroft at Skyhold and by the stables at Haven. :) You can sync your recipes and schematics as often as you want. :) You won't have to keep gathering rune and grenade/potion/etc recipes on each play through. The only thing it won't save are the tier 1 schematics that no one ever uses anyway. :)
And you do still have to upgrade your potions on each play through since that requires herbs and not a different recipe. I had to think about that one for a moment when I first accessed the nug at Haven. LOL
oh I thought you had to purchase him.
Yeah -- I got all the DLCs at once and it's really overwhelming. So much more to do and find and... LOL It's hard to keep track of it all (yay wikia) -- just don't be afraid to try something new! :)
I really want the DLCs, but there's also the fallout DLCs and I just don't have the funds =A=
aaah I finally found an okay outfit to make with this wig now that I have the horns and the background. Blue forest nymph looks =u=
