When did this change to one point for doing five quests? I don't remember getting a siteupdate ping (and apparently I can't view my ping history, it just reloads the forum page)

i just notice this earlier too. i thought it was random chance before this. what change?

that's odd, i just got it too, but it must start counting up to 5 quests at a random point because i got it on my 13th quest for saggi.

It also seems to be counting quit quests, because I quit a quest in one set of 5 and still got the quest point.

Just noticed this too -- not sure I like having them rationed out. (Surely the rate was higher than 20% before!)

Yeah I noticed this too, glad I'm not the only one. I'm not too happy about it either. I have a feeling that its because people have stockpiles of Quest Points so they're trying to limit that. With this unless you have a GA you can only get 18 points per day (assuming you have access to Carl).

yeah that's why I'm not sure how I feel about it. Some days I felt like I got a ton, some days felt like none, but this is 3 points per day per quest type guaranteed (2 if not gold), if you do them all. That's 30/day, which I do think is more than I would get on my best day. But I don't do all my quests most days. So I'm almost guaranteed to get fewer than I would have before (but I'm probably in the minority here).

I've noticed this for some time now, but not with it specifically saying that it was one per five quests. However...its been giving me one quest point per five quests, without fail, for awhile.

Well, users cant have access to both Saggi and Sarah because they both depend on how much sp you have so there are 10 quests available but you really only do 9 of those.

Just noticed the change today, can't say I like it much. Mostly because I LIKED the random element and not knowing when quest points were going to show. Unexpected quest point could make a disappointing reward feel worthwhile.

Now it's just... rote. Spit out like a pat on the head. And it's definitely worse for those of us who can't do All of the Quests All of the Days, which is usually me.

What bothers me, is that the 1 and 5 are both bold, so at a glace it almost looks like you received 5 quest points instead of just 1.

(this would be an awesome buff, a slight chance to earn more than just one quest point at a time)

i feel so so when i noticed it, because it does fair it out now for people stockpiling points to sell items when new ones come out and it becomes more predictable how many you'll get a day,but predictable can be kinda eh

I don't know if we're getting more or less questpoints with the change, so if it went from random quest points to a fixed rate, I'm more curious why this change was needed? If it was always 1 point per 5 quests, and they just added that message to make it clearer, then it makes sense.

It's been 1 point for 5 quests for several months already. They've only changed the message later :)

My problem with her statement though is that the message literally only just showed up recently. If literally none of the files have been edited since July, why is the message only now showing up? Something clearly changed. Unless I'm completely oblivious about the wording, but it appears other people have seen the wording change as well.

If the rate itself hasn't actually changed (though myself and others still were getting the occasional 2 points in a row which apparently shouldn't be happening?) then I don't care all that much. The fact that it carries over from the previous day, plus the fact that some people are/were getting the rare 2 in a row, made it seem like it was still random (as in, not guaranteed every 5 quests at a set point, but a 1 in 5 chance per quest). But I had to go back 46 pages of admin posts to find information on this.

I had thought it was a 20% chance (1:5), not a guaranteed "every five quests you're going to get a point, as soon as you finish that 5th quest"

it really DOESN'T seem to be actually every five quests, though. i think it's still random. i did 15 wizard quests yesterday and didn't get any. then i did 13 saggi quests and got one. just now i did 3 more wizard quests and got a point. i don't know where it starts counting out "five quests" but it must be some random unknown point (and carry over between days) because it's definitely not every five quests you do because otherwise you would get a point on your fifth, tenth, and fifteenth quests for each quest giver.

it caries over each day and if you skip one then it doesn't count towards your five. I'm not sure it's working for everyone, but I am getting it every 5 quests I complete without issue. I have seen a lot of people say they don't think they're getting 1 every 5 though. If you can, try to keep track of how many quests you do for each quest point and how many quest points you get each day. Maybe if enough people think something is wrong, someone will make a thread about it and any additional info you can provide will help.

I remember getting an announcement about it way back in june or july, but I remember counting my quest points after that and the change was never actually put into place. I was still getting quest points sometimes every other quest, and sometimes every 6-7 quests. Today is the first time I noticed the code actually working, and not just because the message is there now. I have counted on previous occasions and found that '1 every 5' is not be true. (that being said, it still averaged to about 3 QP per 15 quests. (maybe it was 1 in each set of 5 before, but now I seem to be getting one every 5th complete quest)
