I've written a bit, yeah. Here. It's all really old stuff, mostly from high school, but there's some new-ish ones there... I have not been able to write for a good while now. Always lacking inspiration. I've been trying to find my muse again (huge reason I haven't been able to start my novel) but, well, it gets difficult, lol. deviantArt is pretty great for improving your drawing skills. You can get lots of feedback and even enter member-run contests. You can sell your art on there, too, if you ever feel comfortable doing so. Aside from that, it has a pretty great community overall.

As a long-time gaia player I agree that it's definitely pretty much impossible to get anything good unless you use real money or in my case sell art like mad. I've pretty much become super inactive there and only go to do some fun freebies once in a while lol. Vending used to be viable but definitely not so much anymore.

I think they could really use some quests like Subeta has, not just minigames that give measly amounts of gold and events that are so spam-focused... especially with the hyperinflation that plagued the economy in the last few years. :( I like that subeta is so diverse with avatar and pet stuff :D

They're definitely adorable. I really liked that one original piece you did. I cannot remember the name of the piece, but it was gorgeous. You should consider selling it as a print! ;) I +fave'd it at any rate. I can understand the lengthy process I'm sure any art can take... I tried my hand at drawing once, and as I'm sure you can see on my dA, it was a total flop. I'll stick to writing!

Gaia could use some quests. I'll admit the forum events that people come together and create and work on together is really fun and all, but it is near impossible to do anything otherwise. It is the most social-media based anime-fan-site-type-thing I have ever seen. I could get the same effect from Facebook. I'm here to meet people, socialize a bit, and see how much moolah I can make... Not cry because the person next to me has cooler stuff. :(

Ohh I remember when they released the Alice stuff, I think I bought a couple too :D. They do still make really pretty items (which was one of the things that kept me on the site... being the packrat I am and hoarding stuff in my inventory never to sell again). Now, I think they've gotten pretty lazy with all the recolours and releases of old items. xD; The change in their marketing director really affected stuff... Ah well more power to them for creating such a popular site xD.

They do. And yeah... Never have been able to roleplay. They don't like ones with no experience, either. I think about the only experience I have with roleplay is going to this anime group meeting thing at the local university. I didn't participate in anything, but it was a bunch of dudes screaming at one another. Not sure if it was Naruto or DBZ, bahahaha. I've been wanting to get a LARP group going in my local area, though. Unfortunately, no one wants to take the time or money to help me get it going, despite the HOURS I put it into and the, roughly, $50 to do my "crafting profession" for my character. -sigh- Oh well. :c

Aww yeah it sounds like a lot of work if you don't have a few committed people to help. Lilylune and I have been wanting to do a dungeons and dragons campaign with some friends but none of us really know the rules LOL. We need to recruit a competent dungeon master first probably... XD

Oh, I've spent more than $25 on that game over the course of my time there... Lol. Probably pushing $100? None of it was really NEEDED to play, either, just it gave a lot of nice extra things. (Bank space, mounts, etc.)

D&D is really hard to get into. Not so much the game, just getting a group together to actually play. I have been trying for YEARS, but I am stuck in the same boat as you - trying to find a competent DM, lmao. A lot are uncomfortable doing it, as they ARE the game you are playing, essentially. Not to mention, you want them to be totally knowledgeable in the game, as well as understanding to new players.

You should get the card game Munchkin! It's a parody of D&D and it's SUPER fun. It makes do!
