Was hoping for more time, didn't get as much work done with the tier 6 pet as I wanted. DX Wasn't going for top of tier 6 though, maybe I could make top 10 of tier though. Did a bunch of battling with the babies to see how many pets I could get to top 10 of tier or top of tier. Can't wait for the results, I like what I got done with most of my pets.

it happened the same way for the other two waves. it would have been unfair for wave 3 to be a lot longer since only your best wave counts

oh well. at least the boss fights have improved every year so far.

Congrats to the person that got the final blow. I got 49 wins in the last boss battle. So my third one was the best. And I did that at work. Go figure. I'll do better the next boss battle. I'm good with whatever I get.

Val got 97 wins on first one in almost six hours. Tier 1 got 544 wins on second in about two hours. Tier 8 got 493 wins on final in almost six hours.

Now to wait for it all to play out in prizes. I like to thank my stomach bug for keeping me home from work today even though it interrupted me way too many times. [edit] I just finished a training course and put Tier 8 in auto-training. She is now Tier 9. Hope I didn't just screw myself since she was Tier 8 through boss battle. ><

Then they should have started the battling much earlier, or tweaked the boss stats/weapons during the first wave, so that the waves would end on time.

That shit should have been announced in the news that the waves were going to be shorter if that's the case.

I think this way was better actually. you can't tweak the weapons without giving an unfair advantage to one wave. if one wave doesn't defend, it's a lot easier to get damage against it. health is the only stat that can be tweaked but that isn't always easy to predict because it depends how many people are battling in that given wave. I'm still all for just having the waves time based if possible, with a timer on the page and no listed health.

I'm kind of hoping there weren't many t9 battlers out there because I want my 431 battles to be enough for top of tier. ;O; I guess we'll see lol.

These boss battles ended up being at a bad time for me... I didn't do quite as much as I would have liked. However, I managed to get 50 battles against the first guardian with my T8. Against the second guardian, I got 25 with my strongest T6, 10 with my next strongest T6, and 10 with my just barely T6. I got an additional 25 battles in with my biggest and baddest battle baby (Vaako, who's a T11 almost T12) against this final guardian. Overall I'm pretty happy with that, though I'm a little disappointed I couldn't manage the 50 battles I had originally planned to get with Vaako.

I will say I like the new format, even if the timing was off for me personally. I didn't feel nearly as stressed by the boss battles as I have in the past.

Anyway, I don't expect to be anywhere near top tier with any of them, but I'm hoping to get some neat "participation" prizes for the damage I was able to get with my 5 pets.

I disagree on your first part there, but I could agree with the latter. Hack away at a boss from 6pm to midnight, no final hits to put up with, just do as much damage as possible.

I don't mind final hits so much. I still find 6 hours a long time but it's better than 18 hours. but the waves have to be pretty much identical to retain fairness so the waves can be compared. if prizes were given out based on your wave, then the waves could vary a lot more. both ways of doing that have their pros and cons. I'd still prefer bosses to go away completely and switch back to like the pirate and islanders war

Meh, waves are gonna be inaccurate anyways because the first wave got screwed hard by 502 errors. Don't know what the 2am wave was like (sleep time). And I jumped in on the 3rd wave later than i would have liked, cause I had to take my cat to the vet over concerns of bloody urine.

Should be 4 waves (so day and night battlers get equal time), all damage done during all 4 waves is totaled at the end. Anyone crazy enough to be there for all 4 waves should deserve the final prize, but anyone that's at least there for 3 waves and does more battles to comp for lower damage output also gets a chance at it.

I like global bosses but 99.9% of it is robotic clicking. Heck i could have paid my younger sibling to do it for me and as long as he put in the time, results would have been the same.

I do like having to get X wins on a individually challenging opponents. though im sure its more design intensive vs global bosses.

Having 4 cumulative waves is the exact same thing as a single wave that lasts 24 hours, and it only really benefits the people who have that much time to kill. Sure they put in that time, but time shouldn't be the only factor in boss fights.

I've never participated in a war, but with boss battles being hit or miss, having a specific goal to aim for would be nice.

Gosh I'd love specific goals. I get that they want to keep stuff rare, but battlers who work hard deserve big rewards.

I completely agree :) And with big plot weapons being a one time thing, I think they can afford to spread the love a bit more.

Idk about anyone but I'd take developing a strategy over mindless clicking any day of the week. Though I can see how difficult it would be to create an opponent we'd all have to strategize for as after a certain point no strategy is required if your pet is better than your opponent. :x

For all that I battled pretty much the entire 6 hours on the third boss, I only got 61 battles in. They were pretty long though, hopefully that damage added up. Still not sure if it would have been more efficient to withdraw after freezing scrolls are used up and start again.
