It may just be a matter of having more stats with him and waiting until you are T9 (I think you are T8?). He does a lot of different icons from what I've seen battling him. Freeze him as much as you can and then try blocking physical, water, light and wind with shards. Sancturia exodin scrolls would be good for him.

Stuck on level 23 of Battle Quests (Surge). Shinwa gave me a dud item. Managed to boost Andolyrus to rank 1686. Got the achievement for 4500 battle quests completed.

That pet's name is a mouthful. Congrats on your baby pet's new tier. Congrats on BQ achievement. I'm been getting duds from Shinwa for a week at least or more. Keep grinding on your BQs. You'll be surprise how much stronger your pet will get.
