Thank you! well it seems like my T12 pet can beat it, unless this guy is super annoying (chain freezing, steals etc..)

It has the new coding BAs were talking about in the "Change is In the Air" thread. Spells with custom coding and new kinds of curses. Other people were saying it was easy for their Tier 12s. It's in the Extremely Hard section of challengers.

Thanks for the info! :) so I guess I'll buy all the minions. I saw the loot, it's sad not to see a weapon.. after all the sp we need to spend..

I was thinking that it would either drop a weapon or we would combine all the trinket wearables that look like they should be weapons from the riddles with something the challenger drops to get a decent weapon.

yes exactly, it could be awesome, but oh well, I guess we need to deal with what we have, it's the first time that they are doing something like this, so hopefully next time they will do things differently..

Making a riddle prize exclusive to only a handful of players, though, isn&;t exactly fair, either, especially if other players bought the books thinking that there was going to be an excellent prize at the end, only to be disappointed in another way as the big end prize is a challenger only a small amount of players can beat.
But anyone has the potential to be able to beat the challenger if you train. If you're not interested in fighting it you can sell the scrolls. My spring/summer scrolls sold already for the same price I paid

If you (general you) decided to buy the items before seeing the prize, I feel like that's on you. I did the same thing, and I turned them into the scrolls/tome and I shouldn't have, but it's my own fault (I'm still a little frustrated about it, but I can't really blame anyone else for it). I don't agree that we need to add additional prizes for the non-battlers or those with lower-tier pets though, not every feature on the site has to cater to every user.

I really liked the riddles, it was fun. I hope we get to do something like this again :)

But I feel like the prize of a battle challenger meant for a pet with high stats is kind of useless for most users.

I'm so disappointed about this. I thought that ultimately we would trade all 4 riddle scrolls in for an item or a reward or something, and yet I lost all of the minions instead?

I don't understand, what was the point of the riddle scrolls then?? They serve absolutely no purpose!!!

Also, had I known it was all going to be for a battle challenger that I'll never be able to face, I never would have bothered.

And now I guess I'm going to have to re-buy the reliefs to get the minions back, because I really wanted to collect all four. What a complete and utter waste of 40m, and a disappointment on something that I've been excited about for months.

While I thought that the riddles were leading to a "bigger prize", I wasn't very interested to spend money on it because the clues were in the description so why bother spending sP?

Turns out I'm glad I didn't.

Also can we stop blaiming battlers for 5 second? While it is inconvenient for a lot of people, it's a small reward for us to finally get something out of the money, CSC, sP and time that we spend on training a virtual thing. Yes, you can taste my salt.

However. I believe that staff could have worder their things a little better, but I never thought that I had to buy something in order to get something else. Tbh, I only bought the trinket because I wanted the wearable.

End word: I WANT MORE RIDDLES. TAKE MY SP.

I'm also really disappointed with this. It's really counter-intuitive not to have the riddle items be part of the riddle, when with the trinkets you had to have them.

I don't care that the prize is a challenger I can't beat, honestly. It's just really meh.

You could also argue that most users wouldn't bother buying four sphinx items from the MC throughout the year. The average user would go "You want me to spend 5mil how many times? Um, no, thank you." This sink wasn't for most users to begin with.

i don't quite like it either. i mean 'prize' that requires much effort and commitment after already spending millions, not really a prize for a lot of people.

lucky for me, i'm lazy and slow. by the time i'm interested, i already know to avoid it :P

I'm also disappointed, but very relieved that I never opened my reliefs to select the scrolls that we didn't even need. I had a plan to keep my reliefs whole until the final prize was revealed, and if I didn't like it, I'd use my reliefs for other things.

Idunno, I'm just like... meh... I thought it would be something cooler. I saw the challenger's drops in the item directory and I'm not interested in fighting it, even if my pet ever gets strong enough to do it.

Btw is it a permanent challenger? Like if you unlock it and can't beat it will it be there forever so you have time to work up to it? AND will the reliefs return to the MC seasonally so players who missed out can unlock it or was this just a one time only thing for this year?

Btw x2, I know this was already said 100 times but people thought that you needed the scroll because it was related to the riddle itself. Just as how you needed the trinkets to solve the OTHER riddles. It's really putting two and two together; "I needed the trinkets to solve the mini riddles so I'll need to scrolls to solve the main riddle. Because by example, I'll need the riddle related item for the riddle." Logic. I don't know how staff missed this obvious conclusion.

The Millionaire Center doesn't retire stuff like it used to. All of the items needed are currently available, you just have to pay a bit more for the ones that are out of season.

I think a great solution to this would be to make the scrolls transformable into their respective seasonal minions. That way, folks who wanted to read the scrolls to their pets could do so, and folks who wanted to complete the riddle for the prize wouldn't feel so put out over the perfectly reasonable assumption that they needed to own the scrolls to complete the over-arching riddle.

I'm still a little salty over this myself. I agree with those who have said that you shouldn't be able to solve a riddle without having a riddle to solve in the first place, especially since you needed to have the trinkets to solve their respective riddles. And yes, I suppose that in the end it is my own fault for having transformed the items without waiting to see the outcome first.

I guess the silver lining is that I was able to read them to my battle pet, so there's that at least... The riddles themselves were fun. I just hope that if this is done again in the future that there will be just a bit more clarity.

Am I reading this right that I basically bought the scrolls for nothing? I definitely understood that we needed the scrolls themselves in order to complete something. I even bought 2 of every scroll thinking we would "use" the scrolls (like combining them into one bigger scroll or somthing).

I already bought the minions in the previous seasons, but for my minion collection. And since I won't be able to beat the challenger anyways, my minions are staying with me. I'm just stuck with 6 scrolls then...

Yes, you're reading it right. The winter/summer/spring/autumn sphinx minions are what is needed to complete the riddle and get the challenger.

I suppose it didn't correlate because the trinkets DO specifically say things like "take ME somewhere," "do this in front of ME," whereas the scrolls are more passive and just kind of mention that a riddle exists.

I don't agree with putting any future riddles on the exact item you're supposed to use though, I feel like that's a bit too on the nose. That being said, I'm definitely taking all this feedback into consideration, and thank you guys for taking the time to post it. :)
