Nalta smirked at the aged woman. "Maybe I just want my student to see what happens in there. There is no greater protection than that which I carry. So if I were you, I would hold my tongue when speaking to your elder unless you intend on being respectful and trusting of their judgment."

He turned back to Raia, "That being said, it seems my methods are... Obsolete when performing in a group such as this. It has been a while." He said with an almost embarrassed smile as he scratched the back of his head, revealing his pistols to the woman in leather. He leaned in close to speak privately to Raia, "It's my understanding that the seeress is connected to the man beneath. Did you see how they were together on the sidewalk before? We need her to separate the two. As for my student, she thinks she is some kind of monster. I'd like to show her what a monster is. You wanted to know what my experience is with teaching and why I'm here, well the truth is I taught combative magic. Your dean seems to think we need better security and attached me to his most capable employee. I intend to mold that girl into a capable fighter, but first indeed to make her understand she is not alone."

He pulled away, returning his voice to normal levels, "And the Aegis; its impenetrable." He added with a reassuring, happy-go-lucky tone and a thumbs up. "Once it's deployed and I block the first attack, his energy will be spent and his attacks will weaken." He turned back to the woman in leather that reminded him of the cheerleader coach from Glee, "Is my ultimate defense too 'stupid' for you, or...?" He said sarcastically, but with no amusement whatsoever. He wouldn't be scared off by some new-aged paladin with an attitude.

Nunque found himself surrounded in white, like he was surrounded by the purest light. The ground was red water upon which he walked. It was peaceful. He was wearing his Academy garb but no shoes, just how he liked it. He took a step, causing ripples in the red water. As he did, the 'sky' became dotted by black points. It was as if one were to have a negative of the night sky. It was strangely beautiful. Suddenly he saw a figure before him. Tall and muscled with silvery hair and a mask to filter it's hellish breath as it rolled out of the mask in a blood red haze.

"Marcus." Nunque surmised.

"Dü al ét kä." It snarled back with a deep, hellish voice.

"That's impossible. I killed you." Nunque retorted, confused and annoyed.

"At é kazsch. Sö len ét." It corrected him with an animalistic chuckle.

Nunque took a moment to mentally translate the demon-speak. "Kazsch... Corruption?"

The moment he finished the question the demon before him latched it's massive hand like a vice around his neck. He couldn't breathe, but he could feel his cervical spine crunching beneath the pressure.

...

In real life the corrupted body that was now Marcus shrieked in pain and joy and power. As a parasite demon his specialty was to take over a body and its power while draining it through pain. As he cried out, the damage manifested. His neck became covered in bruises. As his pain increased along with his power, the other eye began to corrupt an the hair on his left began to turn white.

ooc: - if you'd like, you may post around me. I won't have a reply up til later this evening after work. I would have had a post up last night but after working two jobs has mentally drained me to focus properly. Also having two little fussy puppies and a new mother to tend to. Though I only work one tonight and have managed the opportunity to sleep in so when I get home this evening I will have something to respond with <3

((Just a short post for now. The dogs are adorable, . Post when you get a chance, but don't worry if it takes a few days. I'm ready to have Adom take them in whenever you are. ^.^))

The white-haired professor was a bit surprised when Nalta referred to himself as Naceren's elder, as neither his appearance nor his mannerisms indicated more than a couple decades of age, but she knew it could be difficult to tell, in the magic community. Naceren made some mumbled comment about non-humans that got the advantages of age without any of the drawbacks, but the hunter was prickly at the best of times and Raia knew better to take any of her less considerate comments to heart. Instead, she addressed Nalta. "There are better ways to show someone they are not a monster, but I will let you decide that. Bear in mind, not everyone at this school needs or even wants to learn to fight, beyond the very basics. I suppose having the young Seer along might be useful, despite the risks." She lifted her voice slightly, to address others in the group. "Senki." The young lady with the glowing eyes turned to regard the professor. "You and the two students are to come with. You are to stay behind the rest of the group, and take them into the shadows at the first available opportunity. None of you are to come out unless one of us tells you that you may. Am I understood?"

The teaching assistant nodded her head. "Yes ma'am," she said, her voice barely more than a murmur. Amuné nodded as well. Perhaps whatever connection Nunque thought the two of them had would prove useful, even if she didn't understand it at all.

Naceren was working hard not to snap at the cocky man. One should never assume an opponent would use all their power in the first attack -- that was a good way to get yourself killed by the second one. And even the perfect defense only did you any good if you stayed behind it. She would dearly love to knock him down a few pegs, but it wasn't the right time for that -- even if she did find him annoying.

[small] Alabaster eyes closed for a moment, just a moment. she told herself. Doing so, because she felt as if the room was spilling. Whatever it was that they were about to witness however, she needed to be up and able. Easier said than done given the circumstance of course. Muted plum ears flicked as she heard the sharp words of an elder woman protest. The wolf scoffed with defiance expressing her frustration unbeknownst that she was the one who the old bat considered half-dead. “I'm fine!” white teeth bared as her lips curled back slightly exposing matching gums. Her muzzle was still pointing downward, looking to no one with her eyes closed. Her defiant remark was, however, made towards Naceren. The tiger only hoped that whatever this demon-slaying entailed; that it wouldn't last long. Heavens forbid what they were getting themselves in.

Neither of the two caught on to the conversation between the assistant and instructor. The white tiger averted his attention momentarily towards the young seer, she had been notably quiet since their arrival. Barely a peep, if any at all she made. “I believe you should have some kind of say in this matter – do you not?” he asked her. Black indigo eyes trained on the young girl. Scarred face remained neutral and stoic. While the staff were bantering on about some kind of plan, there was the debate of whether the students would tag along or not eventually concluding they would but to remain within the shadows.

“How long does this intend to take?” The tiger grunted looking to Raia. Rounded ears flicked as his tail swayed once to the right, evident that he was concerned and uncomfortable with the idea of either following suit. “I am not sure how much longer my companion will remain conscious. Her magic is trying to stabilize as her body heals.” The sound of a faint spark would pop from the muted plum striped wolf. A small wave of electricity rolled down her back. “ I...I can fight.” she heaved, words were starting to slur. Inky black lips pressed together. Morgäna would probably be more of a set-back and risk the entire mission at this point and if this truly was a demonic attack; the tiger wasn't going to risk himself or the maiden without a reliable strategy. While he appreciated the company and voice of reason of these people – the two were still new to the school grounds and he wasn't entirely sure if he trusted them enough with such safety.

He would look up to those who stood, golems included. He could already hear, once this was all over the chastising brutal words Morgäna would give him out of her stubborn, ignorant nature. “Your call.”

[/small]

ooc: If none of this makes sense let me know. I wrote this dozing off a couple of times and wont be able to go back over it til after work tomorrow ;o; so I apologize for any typos.

Nalta had no time to bicker with the hunter woman, clearly she wasn't taking into account the fact that Raia had called in a whole squad just to kill- or rather exorcise- this thing. If it were a smart demon it would have made her think it was weak, that she could kill it herself and yet get corrupted in the process. No, this one was powerful but frantic, insane, and stupid. "Well, since we're all set.." He said, "Dragon Style: Spirit of Aegis!" He incantated as he made the tatsu hand sign.

A bright light bursted forth from his pendant as a crystalline, sapphire sword hilt materialized in its glow. It was the handle and hilt shape of a typical English claymore, but there was no blade. He snatched it out of the air and held it at his side. The object was so powerful in itself that the area within an inch around it was visibly distorted by the ambient magicka. He could only hold it idle for so long, so this had to be somewhat quick. "Alright, let's go." He said cheerfully.

(Sheffield Hall), practice corridor/containment room 3

Amuné looked at the tiger when he addressed her, then away. "I want to help, if I can, but I'm really not sure that I'd be much use. He's far stronger than anything I've had to face in the past. But I trust the staff here, and will do as they direct."

"We will take however long is neccessary to complete our objective. If you have issue with Miss Uciliece coming, speak with Mr. Wolfe," Raia told the feline. She turned to face the darkened portal. "Those of you coming, we will form up inside the spelled circle in the antechamber, so Adom can take us in. Sephix will seal the outer portal once we are through it. Remember, nobody can leave until she opens the portals for us. Adom, Sephix, if the two of you are ready, we shall proceed." With that, the professor squared her shoulders and summoned her armor. The manner in which it appeared was far less flashy than Nalta's Aegis, purplish shadows sweeping across her body and solidifying into a suit of dark articulated plate, with sky blue accents.

Adom reached one large hand out to touch the silent frame, and light swept along the lines of the runes. The empty space inside shimmered slightly. Raia waved Nalta forward, and entered after him. Naceren and Val followed. Senki beckoned the two students forward, as well as the tiger. "Stay close to me," she told them. "I need to be able to touch you, to get you into the shadows. It may be a bit disorienting." With that, she turned to head after the others.

Once everyone was inside the antechamber, the portal behind them went dark. The staff members were readying their weapons, knowing the needed to be able to react the moment they entered the room where the possessed Nunque waited. Adom lifted his hand, and a design lit up on the floor, a large spell circle that covered most of the room. "Let me know when you are ready," he rumbled. Confirmation was quickly given by most, but he waited for Senki and the students to indicate they too were prepared, before counting backwards from three. On zero, the spell circle flared brightly, the room jolted, and the party was abruptly facing the screaming man in the containment room.

The group was near the edge of the room, while Nunque remained towards the center. The golem gestured, and many of the lights in the room dimmed to a muted glow. Senki, one hand already touching Amuné's shoulder, the other resting in Morgäna's fur, took a step backwards. A strange tug pulled both of them into a darkened world, where it was hard to make out much of anything other than the TA's glowing yellow eyes. They could still see what the others were doing, but the scene seemed as if it was playing out on a screen, or through a window. The young woman reached an arm through the faint barrier that separated them from everything else. To the tiger, it would seem her arm emerged from a slightly darker area of shadow, to reach for his back and pull him through as well. "This isn't the normal realm of shadows," Senki told them, a brief shine of teeth the only indication of her smile. "This room is separated from the normal world, so the shadows here are separate as well. But it works well enough."

Meanwhile, Adom had wasted no time continuing his preparations, as promised. He seemed to grasp something, and sections of the room trembled, before rising from the floor to form scattered archways. When he was finished, he rekindled the dimmed lights. Val stepped into the shade of the nearest arch and promptly vanished, turning up next to Morgäna. "If any of you have a problem, let Senki know, and she'll tell me," he said, before moving off into the darkness.

(( I'm assuming Morgäna came with. If not, let me know and I can change things. Leaving room for you to have Nunque/Marcus attack immediately upon the group entering the room. I'm going to assume the fighters are sticking behind Nalta for now since he can deflect the dark fire. ^.^))

I feel really bad that I've dropped the ball here, but I suddenly have a lot going on. On top of dealing with my own issues. I may be absent for awhile, I'm not sure how long, but I just can't write lately. I'll update if anything changes, but I just need to be seperate for a while.
