Arin looked around the coffee shop, still shaken up by the grotesque man from earlier. She rapidly moves her eyes around, looking around the room. The familiar aroma of freshly made beverages filled her nostrils and calmed her down. She slumped back down in her chair, sighing.*

He was a mess, it was true. But it certainly wasn’t without reason, and even if the others couldn’t see, the gash across his face was beginning to coagulate once again. However it was starting to look like there wasn’t any getting out of this. Not unless he grew wings and flapped away. Even if he did, these weird people would probably do the same.

Covering his mouth with the back of his bruised hand he muted a burp that was sure to smell like liquor and coffee. Looking down at the girl with the tiger when she approached and began asking questions, yes it was actually a tiger, Theo couldn’t help the sideways glance he gave her. “I’m not a student.” The student was his little brother, but that wasn’t important so he declined to share. He made no motion to accept the offered bandage and gauze. Why was everyone so keen on fixing his face. Was it really that messed up? He didn’t need medical attention, he needed a five course meal.

His cool gaze flicked from the girl to her pet holding a lantern and back again. “Ask her.” He gestured to Miss Raia who was in fact part of the faculty staff and would probably be able to decode her colleagues handwriting. Or would at least be more interested in helping the lost little lamb. Miss Raia seemed to enjoy helping people. Again Theo’s stomach rumbled. Stuffing his hands into his pockets he shrugged and looked away. With any luck Miss Raia would jump at the chance to help the girl and Theo could make his escape.

I may be a little spotty these next few days. We just recently lost one of our dogs to the Coyotes and I am having to take my boyfriend to the airport in the morning. I've never driven on the interstate let alone to an airport so my nerves will be incredibly rattled. I'll also be super emotional if I make it home alive ><' But I will be checking back frequently as much as possible.

ooc/ Sorry about your dog! :( Glad you made it safe from the airport though.

On the bright side you have a new job, sorry about your old one though. Hope everything gets sorted out.

bic/ Mel shrugged at Miss Raia's suggestion, "Nah, I'm all good. I finished reading the assignment this morning. It's all fresh in my head." she replied with a grin. The student suspected that their professor was just trying to get everybody away from the chaos, but she didn't really have anything important to do at the moment. "Is that a tiger?" she whispered excitedly as the tiger and it's owner approached the group. The fact it was holding a lantern didn't phase her. When the student stopped at their group asking for directions she twined her hands together behind her back so she would be less tempted to pet it. Instead she practically vibrated with excitement.

Edge of campus

Raia sighed mentally and took the paper from the young woman that approached them with a tiger at her heels. She could sense the illusion on the feline, and was able to make out both the cloaking image as well as the creature's actual appearance. It took her a moment to puzzle out the writing -- honestly, did the advisor have no consideration for those who had to read what she wrote? -- and the name made her glance at the young man with the studs under his eye. "Wolfe," she said aloud. "It says Wolfe." Impeccable timing as always. The new professor had only just arrived, not even settled into his classroom yet. She would be annoyed if administration had paired her with him and he was new to teaching. He certainly seemed barely old enough to have graduated college himself. She preferred someone with a little more experience under their belt, if she had to have a partner, or an assistant instead of a fellow teacher. "Class will be in 112 Sheffield."

With that she returned the paper to the young lady and turned her attention back to the two men. The other student, the one that was certain she was ready for whatever her next day of classes would bring, didn't seem like she was going to be easily dissuaded from following, but perhaps she'd lose interest. If not, the closed door of Dr. Thomas's medical ward would be a good deterrent. "Come along, gentlemen," Raia said to the pair, heading for Sheffield Hall and Dr. Thomas.

(( this is where I will write you out for now, if that's alright. We can figure out what information Max (Dr. Thomas) gets from Theo if and when you return. ^.^))

Sirius waited by the secretary's desk as the administrator printed out a pristine slip of paper "Here's your schedule. Your class starts soon." The woman behind the desk said. "Thanks, Julie." The skeletal man said, his eye socket closing to form a wink as Sirius picked up the slip of paper between his boney fingers. Sirius took a moment to look down at his new schedule before putting the piece of paper in his front jacket pocket. He returned to his straightened posture, fiddling his broken zipper before simply leaving the jacket open, exposing his ribcage. "I wonder if the normies will notice a skeleton walking around." Sirius wondered aloud, sauntering towards where he thought his next class would be. He wore a small iron key pendant that allowed him to appear as he usually would- if he had flesh of course. The magic was weak, meaning only normal human beings couldn't see through the enchantment, but all other animals could. Including dogs. "Dear god, do I hate dogs." Sirius muttered to himself through his skeletal grin and slightly squinted eye sockets.

Sirius wandered around god-knows-what building he was in. It seemed like a labyrinth in these halls, the same white wallpaper everywhere he went, seemingly being never-ending. He was completely lost around the campus, with no map in sight to guide him to his class. He rounded the corner to find a small group of people, a ghostly woman helping out another pale-skinned girl with her schedule. "Geeze, and I thought I was the dead one here." Sirius muttered to himself, his face unwavering from his relaxed skeletal grin. Once the pale girl practically floated away with her weird pet, Sirius decided to amble over to the white-haired woman. "Excuuuuse me, miss. You wouldn't happen to know which way my first class is, would you?" The animated body asked.

Character Skelly (Ba-Dum-Tsssh) Name: Jackson "Sirius" Creis Age: Died at 18, has been animated for several decades. Gender: Male Species: Independent skeleton, lich-like capabilities Appearance: Sirius stands at 5'10", with black smoke filling his empty eye sockets. He wears a "Elixir Chevron" jacket, along with a pair of old, faded blue jeans. He wears an enchanted iron key pendant, making appear human to the regular human eye. In his human state, he appears to be the same height, with olive skin, slightly spiked black hair, and deep blue eyes. Personality: Sirius is usually relaxed, having all the time in the world. He strongly dislikes dogs due to the usual "Dog and bone" cliché, but is always quick with a skeleton pun if the time is right.

She would absently shove the unaccepted bandage and gauze in the open front pocket of her messenger bag. A deflated sigh escaped her lips as she glanced at the specter woman the man had suggested to ask, quickly to mention he wasn't a student. To further the conversation wasn't exactly what she had in mind. The small slip of paper was retrieved, Morgäna stood silently ignoring any potential eye contact. Tiger-knight at her side kept close, his tail twitching with the onset of anxiety with eyes pining him. It was an aggravating moment for him. Mutilated face would turn away from the crowd, as he gazed elsewhere. His expression remaining callously stoic. Wolfe the wraith would finally speak once deciphering the messy script. Nickel stained eyes glanced briefly as she retrieved the paper and placed it within the notebook she was carrying. “Thanks.” she muttered almost incoherently. Her next objective – find the building and the classroom. Is that a tiger? Pale ears would twitch, capturing the eager whisper of the girl, just recently speaking to the wraith. Something to do with assignments, Morgäna wasn't paying any mind – moreso trying to leave and carry on her own.

“He is.” she answered coolly, monotone indicated her lack of interest to carry out the conversation, so she'd hopefully end it quite quickly. “And bites if provoked.” Without further word, she would slip from the crowd and start off towards the Sheffeild building, by-passing the walking skeleton in the mean time. Morgäna couldn't help herself but do a double take on the walking set of bones. Pale lips pressed together as she shook her head and would continue onward, the tiger at her side with her lantern still clasped between his jowls. As she distanced herself from the crowd, the young woman let out a restless sigh. She hadn't realized she'd had gripped her belongings tightly, her knuckles were white in grip. “You could have handled that a little more appropriately.” Nameless tiger mentioned haplessly, nearing the steps of the building the specter woman had mentioned. Black-indigo eyes turned to see the large sign with bold serif typography etched with the name “SHEIFFIELD” on it. He'd note the lacking response from his comrade as she casually placed her right hand upon the nape of his scruff. Fingers entangled in his white and black-striped hairs.

If she had heard correctly a few of the other individuals would be heading towards the building too. Morgäna had every intention of sitting in the very back like a little recluse. Between keeping her Tiger or “domestic” house cat out of sight to deter distraction and just wanting to keep low-key would be a priority. With a heavy pull after making her way to the entrance of the building, large, heavy doors would swing open, allowing herself in. The doors would groan and grumble as they opened and closed behind her. A large black board with white letters hung on the wall just several feet away. It wrote out a list of names and room numbers of instructors and classrooms. Alabaster gems scanned the board briefly and then would glance left and right to determine her direction.

The clamor of voices and shuffling of feet would fill the halls. Gossip and mindless banter would often pass by, though Morgäna payed little mind. Her tiger would bump at her side, ushering to continue as they searched for the class room. 112. If this were like most schools, the classroom would be on the first floor, intermingled with some cubicles for instructors as their offices. She ignored the curious eyes of human and gifted alike, whispering nonsense though primarily about her large cat. “Here.” she sighed, looking to see the ajar door with small numbering indicating the room number '112'. Lights were off and the classroom seemed empty for the time being. The small amethyst gem around her neck would spark without warning letting off a dim light, accompanied by the white flame within her Envy-lantern. Morgäna hesitated entering the room, finding the nearest back corner and seating herself there. The tiger would leisurely lounge at her feet, lantern placed between his paws and her feet. Her messenger bag cushioned between the chair and the wall. “Uciliece.” the tiger would begin, breaking the silence that hung tightly in the air like a noose in the gallows.

“Not now, cat.” she responded dejectedly – evading his purpose. She knew what he wanted to discuss – and she would only continue to avoid it. He'd been prying since before the thought of the school had ever come to mind. The tiger grumbled a sigh. “We need to discuss it eventually.” She ignored him for a moment, pulling out loose paper and a pen. Set to the side were some notes she had taken, and what looked to be sketches of plants and a description of them, a small picture poked out from her binder. Given resemblance, it was an image of kin. Hand rested mindfully upon her ribcage. She could feel the bandaging beneath her blouse, though she would pretend to appear busy, continuing to evade the tiger.

“Not now.”

Mel nodded, accepting the warning from the new student, she wished she could pet it nonetheless. She watched Raia lead the new teacher, Wolfe, and the other student away. It took her a quick moment to decide that whatever they were up to would probably be more interesting than playing with her gifts and dashed over to the pair of trees she had her line and bag at. With practiced movements she collected the line and grabbed her bag, stuffing it in as she went. The trio of people had gotten farther ahead that she had hoped they would. Mel increased her speed to nearly a sprint, slowing down as she neared the group. Curiosity would get the better of her almost every time.

(( it's mid/late afternoon, and I didn't intend to have Raia teaching any more classes today. If Nalta has a class he's going to teach on his own, that's up to -- and Raia might sit in on it if he does.))

Raia's current mission was interrupted by yet another student, this one a skeleton wearing an illusion of skin. He too wanted directions to his first class. "Which class are you looking for?" she asked, her tone polite but slightly impatient. She didn't know every single room in Sheffield, much less the entire campus, but there was a chance she could help and she did have a duty as a professor. She hoped to resolve this quickly so she could get on her way.

Arin looks over at the clock nonchalantly, and upon realizing the time, she runs out, forgetting to pay for her drink. She fies to her class, which had no doubt ended by that point. Room 112 in the Sheffield building. As she flies up, she sees a girl inside a dark room with a tiger. She sighs, and opens the window, climbing in* "Hello there...you do know this classvis over, right..?" *She speaks in a soft, sweet, and kind voice, typical of an angel.

Sirius gave the expression of raising an eyebrow at Raia's question, before realizing he hadn't given her his schedule. He fiddled with the button of his front pocket before the sound of a ringing bell cut him off. "I take it that it's too late for class now, eh?" The skeletal student said with a sigh. "I suppose I have the time to explore the campus now, then. I won't bother a lovely lady such as yourself and longer." With that, the bony man sauntered off towards the direction of the pale girl and her tiger, assuming that was the way to many of the classes. He peeked into one of the rooms to find said girl, as well as another girl, this one bearing white, feathered wings. Sirius grimaced to himself, recognizing an angel when he saw one. He proceeded to quickly slink past, hoping not to alert either girls to his presence. He's had plenty of his own experiences with "Holy" beings, many of said experiences going down as, "Have at thee, foul undead beast! I shall smite thee from existence!" Followed by some ramblings Sirius never cared to listen to.
