Just finished with her quests and saw so many 3 item quests with each item at or around 30k so yeah something needs to be done.

I agree. The only way to profit from her quests is to be a hoarder.

I'm not happy with Maleria either. Losing over 100K is nasty and I'm quite ready to kick her butt to the curb. It happened right after she was the WQS. There's something strange going on there. A shop called Bunches and Bunches of Loot (The user is The Birthday Princess) keeps showing up at the top of the shop list. The prices are around 1000K less and there are lots of items priced. The weird thing is the user hasn't logged in over 4 years and her account is inactive. That shop only shows up for Maleria's quests for me. Why, suddenly, is this shop so full of items? sP sink maybe? I just really hate dropping sP's into an account where they'll sit and rot.

Just dropping in with some information, but Maleria asks for any weapon with a rarity between 1-99 and a low shop price. I'll double check now to make sure that she's sticking within those goals, though.

I think the shop thingy is simply that that person set the prices so high that no one has bought those items in over 4 years. Now the prices are record high (esp. after the WSQ), and the shop shows up on search again.

And yeah, I've given up on Maleria too, apart from what Shinwa asks. I almost gave up on Shinwa as well yesterday, as Mal apparently was holding 4/5 bracelet pieces random D:

Asking nothing but weapons, and mostly multiples of the same ones is not the best move.

Would widening the pool of items she asks for not slow down the process of the items getting bought out right away and then prices go up? More variety of items being asked for means less of a specific item being asked for which would reduce how many get bought and removed from the system.

Maleria could ask for minions. Minions aren't usually worth a whole lot. Maleria could be wanting a bunch of minions to help her with her evil deeds or something?

Then during WSQ the weapons and minions get bought up and we have the same problem. When I moved her to just ask for weapons it took more than a month for the pool of items to get constrained and start having supply issues on the user shop side, the same thing would happen with minions.

Is there a reason it needs to be so restrictive? It would be something like: 1 minion OR weapon r1-99 worth up to 50k or whatever it is now 1 of any item r1-175 worth up to a limit % chance of asking for another cheap item any rarity.

She's still asking for weapons, but only one. There's so many junk items out there and quests only ask for a fairly narrow pool in general, so the prices are pretty easy to manipulate if you wanted to.

I can't believe I'm suggesting this as I normally don't even touch the thing (don't see any point in it as it is), but what about the Mystery Box? Could it be tweaked to help push out inflated items after WSQs?

Then why have quests? If we just open them all up to ask for all items, I don't get why we don't just have one quest that you can do 50 times a day that asks for all items

She can ask for Easy to Hard opponents loot items.. they are so cheap and sit in the shops.. You can't even frag them..

They have different payouts and they can keep a standard base item they ask for, but it seems there are a lot of items that no quests ask for. There's definitely a problem with item supply vs quest payouts, and it seems that any fix is only temporary because prices flucuate so much. I'm just trying to think of a way to help this out. The prices of items quests ask for are individually capped, right? Each thing maleria asks for can be up to 50k or so? Could there be a way to group them together so the most she could ask for in one quest is a bit less than her average payout?

Is there an efficient way to know how many of the items exist at certain prices then only ask for ones that have a certain number in the supply?

It just seems like this is coming down to "people don't restock enough, we need new ways of items going out"

She was noticeably less bad today. I mean, those weapons are still way overpriced, but i did get a break on a few of her quests - enough to make a fair profit - and she gave me a decent assortment of rare/super rare items as prizes for the first time in days. Thanks for looking into it, Keith!

so I did a couple quests and noticed that there were shops with a few hundred of these items in there, meaning they are bought up. keeping her quests to only weapons will continue to allow for people to just buy up these items.
