TL:DR - I'm having to move soon and we are trying to buy instead of rent again, and I'm freaking out about it. Also, working in a call center sucks, no matter where.

Long version -

You guys!! Okay, I'm gonna vent a little cause omg, I need to T_T

So, my lease is up at my apt on Valentine's day. Seems like a bit off right? Well, when your grandmother, bless her heart, tells you at Thanksgiving that she will give you the downpayment for a home, you start looking immediately and realize that paperwork takes at least 45 days to come back for a home purchase. SO! Take that chunk of time out and you have until Jan 1 to get the purchase process started. O_o

While there are a lot of houses on the market, my search 'zone' is SO LARGE (I live in Texas!) and the factors are so numerous for why we would pick a location we want to choose- Distance from work, distance from his parents, distance to the grocery store. And then their's just the houses themselves, Does the value of the home match their asking price, cost of repairs/improvements, bathrooms style that we want, kitchen style big enough/flows well enough, do I REALLY have to have a garden tub if everything else in the house is great? Ugh!! I can't take this stress. T_T

AND THEN add on top of all that, job situation is going down hill. I LOVED it here for over 8 months but now, they are getting so crappy. I don't expect much but I'd like to be treated like I'm not new and like I don't ask stupid questions. But I asked a super quick yes or no question and I got so much push back I wanted to cry from the frustration. Of course, some of this is probably bleeding over from being so stressed out over my moving situation. /sigh

So there you have it. A nice big rant from yours truly.

Most of you know my building is up for being demolished. I know for a few year but never a move out date... Just found a letter from the building rental company. I have as date... About time.. I can start moving from October 1st 2016 (no soner as i get from that date money from them to move as i have to leave from them, i get all info half way March 2016. I am as bit overwhelmed i thought i would have longer... But on The otherside happy i now have clearness.

it's stressful for everyone to buy a house. It's the biggest purchase you'll ever make and comes with a lot of responsibility and no house is ever perfect. So I really understand the pressure you're under. Keep looking, I pray the right house at a price you can afford will come along and you'll know immediately it's the one for you. You know all the reasons you don't want to rent anymore. Personally there is nothing like owning your own home. You're so blessed that your grandma gave you enough for a down payment. Your job sounds very stressful. I pray that situation changes and you'll be happy there again or another job opportunity will come up for you.

I am sorry if I seemed absent the last days, my cat was ill again. But now the medication seems to finally work, she enjoys her food again (she didn't eat for almost a week and was so weak and tiny! She is petite at good times, now she was only a fur sack with some bones in it... She was so weak she could not jump on the couch anymore. I already saw her lying in her grave...). Now she got enough power to complain loudly on our daily way to the vet. How I love that sound :-)

that's too bad about the demolishing. Are you on a fixed rent there? Are there senior citizens living there? why's it being demolished?

I'm so sorry about your job situation. I was a temp most of my working life and I can relate to not being made to feel a part of the team and be able to have intelligible conversations with my work mates. It stunk! Are you looking for a new job too? You've been there for 8 months? Two major sources of happiness, or stress, come from home life and work life. I hope you find happiness.

the homes are old and can't be fixed, they where build after ww2. Single glass, woodwork is rotten, drafty, 1 Heater in the living room and all is old. So in stead of fixing them up they are going to demolish it and build something new. Everyone has to leave, young and old. We where told about this in 2012. So I knew it was coming. What is fixed rent?

oh I see. they should put you up in housing until the renovations are complete and let you move back in. Fixed rent means you have a flat cost that does not go up each year your lease is up for renewal.

So happy for you that your kitty is well enough to complain ! A cat who is too unwell to complain is a very ill pussy cat. Must be such a relief to see her eat again.

my rent is frozen as they going to demolish it. I can go back if I want but they are building houses back instead of flats. And those houses are pricey and I can afford that. So not coming back where I live now.

But going to live somewhere else. Don't now where yet wil find that out next year. I do have to apply for houses but will get help as I have to leave.
