"You'd've been fine if some prat wasn't showing off his owl," he said smiling. "Never 'ad pets before and now I've got two. Was too eager to show off. She likes ya. If you need any owl posting or just wanna visit 'er I know she'd be only 'appy to see ya."

Aderyn smiled.

"I may just have to sneak her a treat or two when I go up to visit my Hygieia in the owlery."

He almost hit himself on the head. "I forgot you had one. See? I'm a prat. Sorry. I knew you had an adorable cat but did forget about the owl."

"Were the comments remarks on the author not writing the romance particularly well," she asked Magnus with a wicked grin, "or notes for the teacher to pay attention to?"

Paddy ducked as Vega swooped over their heads and landed on Magnus' shoulder. "She looks amazing Magnus. And that means I have the perfect Christmas present for you, hang on" Paddy rummaged in her pockets, trying to find the right package. Who would've thought that a coat with 7 pockets would take so long to search through? After a while, she pulled out a small sealed paper packet labelled 'Owl Emporium Premium Owl Treats' and handed it over to Magnus.

"Well some o' it was rather unseemly, so my comments where asking why she was reading it, crossing things out and rewriting. Other comments were on the stlye of writing and others were comments on 'ow she could get an' keep a man." His eyes twinkled brightly. He took the treats and pocketed them. "Ta," he said and dug into his robe. He pulled out a mishapen parcel that he clearly tried to wrap with paper. "'Ere's yours." He hoped she would like the knitted wolf jumper. He found it after sneaking into the wizard wear store on their trip to Hogsmeade.

"I don't see why she was upset at that," Paddy replied, trying to stifle her laughter, "a teacher at my last school went through the books, crossing out rude words with red pen. It actually made them more noticeable in the end."

She took the package and carefully unwrapped it. Whatever it was, he'd struggled to get the wrapping paper to co-operate, but she hadn't even got as far as wrapping his gift. Pulling out the navy blue jumper, she unfolded it to find a brown wolf on the front. "That's amazing," she said, stuck for the right words to describe how incredible the jumper was, "how did you manage to find something so perfect? I'm a bit guilty now, having only got you a pack of owl treats!"

He grinned mischievously saying, "As far as I'm concerned I improved it. But yeah the rude words just pop out don't they?" He watched as she opened the parcel. She seemed to like the jumper. "Slunk off to the apparel store. Didn't really know whatcha like but thought a jumper would be nice and saw the wolf one and just couldn't resist. Nah don't feel bad. It was nice 'aving a friend to buy something for."

Gaia turned around at the familiar sound smiling. "I think Vega is the perfect name, Magnus!" Gaia was quick but the owl had noticed her hand with a quick flick of the wrist Gaia had sent 3 different treats up in the air. knowing well what was happening Vega swooped catching each one expertly. "I thought her this trick during the summer when she was just a tiny owl. She loves it! I figured she would be perfect for you since she is not afraid of large and exotic creatures. She has a sister named Arla. She comes to school regularly since my dad kept here. He figured it would be nice for both of them to stay in contact." Gaia pointed at an owl on one of the branches.

"Thank you so much for helping me! I think this is good. We should head inside for our new club space!" Gaia beamed at her friends ( )

"Thank you, spent ages looking around in books for something suiting." He watched Vega follow Gaia's trick. She landed on Gaia's shoulder and cooed. "That's a wicked cool trick you've taught 'er." Chuckling at the large and exotic creature remark, he saw the owl she pointed to and smiled. "That's a wonderful idea. She's also very pretty. You should train all your owls to grab ya and fly you about."

Aderyn finished up with helping the others carry the last of the chairs into the storage space and then headed toward the new club space at Gaia's behest. She tugged Emmy along with her, nearly tripping over Boo as he wound around her legs on the way into the room.

"That cat is plotting to kill me, I swear it."

Emmy helped carry the chairs and put them out, and laughed Aderyn tripped over her cat.

"Banshee does it to me, too. Maybe I need to give them a talking to!" she chuckled, as Boo let out a mournful (but likely unapologetic) meow. Banshee appeared, summoned by the mentioning of her name from where she'd been sniffing the magical trees, confused. She proceeded to go over to Boo and jump on him instead, wanting to play.

Aderyn watched Boo and Banshee out of the corner of her eye as she chatted with Emmy (), barking out a laugh as Boo shot into the air, obviously startled as Banshee jumped on him. He scarpered away, tearing out of the room and through the great hall with Banshee in hot pursuit - the game was afoot.

Turning back to Emmy, Aderyn motioned to the first row of chairs near the front of the room.

"Shall we pull up a seat?"

As students wait at the dungeon door Gaia stepped around to open the door. As student walk in all they see if the dungeon

Once inside the charm takes place and an enchanted forest takes place hiding away the dungeon walls.

Gaia walked to the front of the dungeon where there was a clearing in the forest. There are two long tables on each side with a long bench for everyone to sit comfortably. Those cushions Gaia asked for really came in handy. Gaia stood in front of a stand up blackboard while there were different pillows, blanket, boxes, and tanks for the different pets to spent time on while we were in session.

Gaia beamed taking a look around. The professors have done a great job with the ideas she had in her head. "The branches on the nearby trees around the tables are in a sense real. These were done that way to ensure there was enough place for our owls and other birds. Even though we do not have real creatures in here we can still have a sense and feel for the forest. We will bring some creatures and others we will study through pictures and our books." Gaia was looking at her notes to make sure she did not miss anything. "Oh! The gear, treats, and other things for care of our pets and our safety are all in the boxes to the left. Everything we had outside is here."

For our new members there is a parchment on the right table where you can add your name, creatures you are interested in, if you would like to be part of our HOOT Club, and please add if you have any pets." Gaia turned to her small table and grabbed her book. "We use and sometimes refer to the " Gaia said holding up the book for everyone to see, "Mystical Creatures And Where To Find Them, but any creatures book you might have you are welcome to bring for our sessions. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask me. This session we will begin with Fairies!"

Beth took a seat and quietly listened to Gaia. She took out her copy of Mystical Creatures And Where To Find Them, her journal for COMC club and a quill. She was excited to learn more about Fairies, since she didn't know much about them.

Aria stood in the doorway and nervously smoothed her robe and flipped her long hair over her shoulder. She walked up to the sign in book and wrote her name, on the list. She also wrote down that she has a companion named Dax, who is a white-tan owl-Griffin.

Aria walked in the classroom and took the first empty seat she could find that was closest to the forest branches. Dax, her small owl-griffin, accompanied Aria to class, even though she told him not to. Dax pranced in the room and fluttered gently onto the branch closest to Aria and began preening, as if nobody else were in the room.

Aria pulled out her notebook and quill and waited intently for the lesson to start. While waiting she began doodling and drawing pictures of Dax across the top of her paper.

Aderyn looked around the room, gasping in awe as a forest unfurled around them at 's behest. She bounced excitedly in her seat and looked at Emmy (). As Gaia mentioned that they'd be starting with faeries, she waved at her friend to let her know where she was so that Gaia could call her up at any time.

Beth wondered if Aderyn () would be co-teaching this lesson.
