He smiled at Aderyn feeling a little unease at all the clapping. Then Paddy's remark made him pause. "Didn't really see it as a bid deal," he said with a shrug, "they like you or they don't. But I'm glad no one called us a beast or tried to 'urt us."

Greatly daring, Sam reached around Magnus' waist and gave him a quick squeeze. "The only reason we'd call you a beast 's iffn you don't help with the chairs. Seriously, you'd only be a beast if you wanted to let the wolf hurt folks. Who you are isn't what you can't help becoming once a month." Embarrassed at he own forwardness, Sam quickly levitated a couple of chairs and stacked them together. then added, "The admissions witch was all concerned that I could talk to snakes when my folks were enrolling me here. Seems some real Bad'un named Moldywort, or some such, got folks around here thinking that everyone who could understand snakes were uber-evil from the get go. So I'm pretty relieved that no one's pointing their wands at me yelling 'Parselmouth!' at the moment."

Magnus blushed with the embrace but enjoyed it all the same. He'd been hugged by a pretty girl. It would do for a shaky arm waving chairs about, so letting himself have a moment before he attempted to move any chairs he smiled. "Thanks, Sam. I don't think snakes are evil nor are witches or wizards who can talk to 'em. People are afraid 'o things they don't understand. If you stray from what is 'normal' most just don't respond well." His condition helped him see things that maybe were advanced for a young wizard. He gave her a squeeze around her waist. "As long as you don't start havin' evil tea parties with your snakes, I think your fine." He winked playfully and started helping stack the chair. Trust him to try to bring humour to a conversation.

Paddy nodded, "it's just so different to my last school - they weren't even accepting about my fur, so the less said about their reactions when some of them discovered I was a werewolf, the better." She was enjoying being part of Hogwarts, but it was still taking some time to get used to everyone being so welcoming, especially now they'd had a full moon.

"I didn't really 'ave a school whilst I was in Mungo's. Just a year of isolation and wondering if this was me lot now. Seems we both had a rough go of it, but look were we are now. Even if some dont like us or what we become involuntarily, we've got a fair amount o' friends now. I reckon anything bad will be off setted by that."

"The dungeon room is ready we just need to rearrange the tables and chairs there!" Gaia beamed at her friends after inspecting the dungeon and coming back to find the group taking care of the area the club had been using the past month.

(OOC: The site has been really bad for me. I have been having issues being online. Hopefully I can update our new session tonight or tomorrow!)

Aderyn smiled as mentioned the dungeon that would be their club's home until warmer weather found them.

"We'll give you a hand! Lead the way."

"Feel free to boss me around," Magnus said to Gaia.

"A year of isolation?" Paddy stared at Magnus () in disbelief, "I hadn't realised you'd had it that bad! Although from my last school, I can say you probably didn't miss much, if their reactions were anything to go by."

"I'll be willing to help with the chairs , hopefully it'll be nice and warm for everyone who doesn't have a fur coat" Paddy winked at her friend. She didn't feel the cold as much as everyone else seemed to, but she would have to admit that a dungeon sounded nicer for the creatures they were to meet, than potentially standing around in the snow.

"Well I was allowed to roam the 'ospital and such, but at night was locked in the ward. Didn't 'ave any idea what to do with me. Couldn't send me to me orphanage and 'ad no where else to go so I lived in the 'ospital. By isolation, I mean didn't 'ave anyone to really talk to except the 'ealer watchin' over me. No relations to visit me. It twasn't easy goin' from the din o' other kids to only one person." He was looking more intently at the floor than anything else.

Paddy thought for a few moments, uncertain of what to say to that. She knew Magnus hadn't had an easy time of things, but she'd found a few days alone in the hospital wing was enough, so she couldn't imagine spending an entire year with nobody else other than a Healer. "Good job you came here then," she said, pulling a couple of chocolate frogs from her pocket, "the orphanage obviously knew you were too good to stay there." She handed both the chocolate frogs to Magnus.

He looked up at his friend. "Actually, I think the 'eadmaster did a jig when 'e was contacted and told that I wouldn't be comin' back. 'E had a rather large file cabinet dedicated solely to me. 'O course, I was totally innocent an' didn't deserve any of those reports." His eyes twinkled showing he deserved every single one of them. "'Nd as bad as that year was, I got a mum and dad from it, so I try not to complain. Don't do to dwell on things ya can't change, right?"

Paddy grinned, "that headmaster wasn't brave enough," she replied, "you'd think he would've stuck with it until he had an entire room dedicated to you, instead of one little filing cabinet. Sounds like you fit in loads better here - I doubt you've got even one bad report so far."

"Well there was a lot more, but when 'e took over for the old 'eadmistriss. She made it clear she didn't like me too good and also suspected me of nicking 'er old romance novels. Don't know why it made 'er cross, the romance novels came back to 'er...and I even added comments on the sides of the pages." Magnus laughed really hard. "So when 'e took over 'e burned all the old reports starting me with a clean slate. 'E said 'e wished 'e hadn't o' done that. As for here, give it time," he snickered, "I'm workin' on some pranks and such."

Gaia beamed at her friends and then giggled at Paddy's comment. "I don't feel the cold like everyone else either. I got used to the winter in the forest. I love the cold weather, but for us and our creatures we need a better setting." Then turned to her friends "We can take the chairs to the room on the side of the Great Hall. The tables will be moved a little later today. Tomorrow our dungeon will be ready for us!" Gaia started picking up toys and treats putting them in their respective boxes. She had to admit using magic to clean up is the best way to clean.

Pondering how best to move a bunch of chairs with a minimal effort, Aderyn grinned and pulled out her wand, winking at .

"Wingardium leviosa!"

At her command, the stack of chairs nearest to her rose into the air, wobbling a little bit but returning to stability fairly quickly. Still smiling, she walked, guiding the chairs along with her wand as she headed to the storage room.

Magnus walked over to help get things set up when a flap of wings and a screech sounded. Suddenly a Eagle owl landed on him. Magnus smiled, "Sorry love, I didn't mean to leave ya." He walked over to Gaia beaming. "I believe you know this owl, but she's got a name now. Her name is Vega. It means swooping Eagle in Arabic. Thank you so much! She's wonderful. Don't like being away from me. I'll tell you if she could lay in me bed, think she might. Both Kippers and Vega try to get me attention and show how awesome they are." Paddy was near by too so he made sure to let her and Aderyn see his new pet. Everyone loved animals after all right?

Aderyn glanced over as she heard a squawking and turned her attention to Magnus just in time to see a gorgeous eagle owl land atop his head. As her concentration was broken by the sight, the chairs she'd been escorting clattered to the ground and the pile of them toppled. She huffed but left them where they were, wanting to see the new owl up close. Moving closer to Magnus (), she reached up to offer the owl her hand to inspect.

"She's absolutely gorgeous, and she has the perfect name!"

"Thank ya. Gaia's family 'elped arrange it. She's one o' their owls. So we know she's been raised well and all. She loves the country side we live in too. All break she was swoopin' after me. We played chase, me on me broom takin' turns trying to catch the other. She's better at catchin' me." He laughed amused. "Sorry about breakin' your concentration." He clicked his tongue and Vega flew onto Aderyn's shoulder, nuzzling her cheek as Magnus righted the chairs with his wand and finished the chore she started. It was only fair after all.

Aderyn grinned as the owl settled on her shoulder, ruffling her hair with the tips of her wings. She reached up and scratched the owl's head gently as the bird nuzzled her, and she smiled at Magnus ().

"Thanks for doing that! I thought the levitation charm was a good idea, but I'd probably have gone back and stacked them by hand again first with how absentminded I am! All these years a witch and I still forget to use magic for some things!"
