Hello and welcome to the Second Term of Book Club!

In Book Club we will be reading and discussing the Harry Potter series as well as Quidditch Through the Ages, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and The Tales of Beedle the Bard, all by J.K. Rowling. We read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone during First Term.

This term I would like to cover Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Quidditch Through the Ages. Existing Book Club members can vote on which book to start with through this Sunday, November 22.

Ahh I will have to see if I can find Quidditch Through the Ages... my library is pretty crap about this though. :/

I have read Chamber of Secrets; I'm currently about to finish HBP. (I've been re-reading the books since the first term started to refresh my memory).

I am good with either one, but I guess my vote goes to reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets first.

I am rereading (and rewatching) the series also! This morning I just started The Half Blood Prince (had to Google your HBP LoL), and I watched the Order of the Phoenix last night.

If we do eventually read the other Rowling books (I have all the HP series) would someone be able to ship the other books to me in Israel, if I can buy them on ebay...?

The best option might be to download a free app, like the Kindle App, on a computer or compatible device and then to purchase eBooks. Otherwise, Amazon ships to Israel and the books are lightweight and affordable. c:

On a general note, there are aforementioned free PDFs for those that are strapped. However all net proceeds from the books do go to Comic Relief UK and Lumos, which are charitable organizations that are championed by JK Rowling. Many local public libraries have lending programs across their own networks too.

I put to bids on ebay! I hope I get them. And that they make it here... but did we decide on which book?

We will read both HP2 and the Quidditch textbook this term. Voting on which one to read first ends tonight, but it's leaning heavily towards HP2 as of now.

Does listening to the audiobook count? I don't have a lot of time to read right now but I love listening to the audiobook when I'm walking to/from school and when doing house chores and stuff
