I count at least 7 zapper skins that I wouldn't mind giving up for a deer skin. I support this idea, or one where we can trade in tokens and sP. I don't think that 5k tokens or something similar would completely take away the reason for zapping, since many of us still enjoy getting the others and the surprise that comes with it. But if someone only wants ONE particular skin, then the sP/token cost for it isn't so bad.
Hmm, an idea that encourages participating in site events? It has my support.

HAHAHAH ifly taters always coming up with the cool ideas. Jeez where did you even think of this 8D but yeah i love this idea..!!!!! dude you should so check this out. Would it be weird if i traded in 5 for a disco ball? LOOOOL godspeed honey muah muah >3o -<33333

I don't think I have five I'd want to trade in, but I still think it's a good idea for people who want one particular skin but didn't get it.
I'd gladly sacrifice the deer skin and other ones I will never use to get the snake skin I don't have
Most people only have like one or two skins that they actually want. At only 50 Wizard Token zaps per skin this would just make people spend around 400 Tokens if they're really unlucky to get five skins that they'd trade in for the skin they want after Morostide, which I don't think is enough money. I mean, I would totally use this if it became available (I got that Medusa/experiment/worm hair thingy 7 times within two days and at that point just stopped zapping because I couldn't afford the massive amount of doubles I was getting), but I also would rather not see it happen.
I don't mind waiting until next year to keep trying, especially since this is the first year that we've been able to collect the skins. If anything were happen to allow us to choose a skin I'd want it to happen maybe 2 or 3 years down the line after users have really gotten a chance to try zapping for them all/the ones they want. And even then I'd want something like a minimum of a 1K Wizard Token price tag and a 5-7 day waiting period on any zapping to put it on par with unliving skins, which let us choose at the downfall of having to wait before obtaining another skin.
My biggest gripe is imagining it. Like... "Hello, Euclid. I would like to exchange my skins today." "Well alrighty, you know the drill." removes my skin in a bloody mess, exposing my fleshy, muscular tissue, as I feed it to his Cringing Constrictor, awaiting for it to poop out my new skin c:

I would totally support this. I zapped the entire time of the event hoping for wood skin. The last three days of Morostide, I don't believe i got a single new skin. I gained 33 new skins but never got wood. I'd gladly trade for the wood. Pretty Pretty please
I would even support a wiz token cost for the exchange or sps if it was reasonable . Or a time wait to morph them. But some way to get that one special one you were attempting for the entire event for would be really cool
I think next year we'll just add a SUPER EXPENSIVE (wizard token) option (and I mean, super expensive) where you can pay x tokens (expensive, very expensive) to have Euclid (try to) calibrate the zapper to the skin that you want, and maybe you can do it only once or twice for the whole of Morostide.
I know that the RNG can really suck when you keep doing something wanting one thing, and keep getting other things. I don't think trading in those things is really a good system (and not how we envisioned the special skins), but I don't mind the idea of making you pay tons for the privilege of the one thing you want :)
Since we didn't do it this year, maybe Euclid can open sometime in the next month for a 48 hour window where you can do the above, I don't know. :)

I was going to post this before but got busy & now Keith has basically stated what I was thinking in my head - but I completely agree with Keith on this one (sorry wifey!). I guess I always felt that zapping was SUPPOSED to be random & aggravating. It gives you more anticipation & excitement to actually zap & see what you get. I mean I spent 2-3k+ tokens zapping the entire Morostide trying to get all the ones I wanted (31 new + a multitude of dupes) and I'm STILL missing a few I would have liked to have - but that's kind of the name of the game. I don't see skins as a trade-able feature since it's more like a 'collect them all' & tbh I'm just glad we're allowed to keep them now instead of having to make that difficult decision of whether or not we wanted to keep zapping after getting one we sort of liked (and then deciding a month later if we really wanted to invest the next 10-11 months in this skin).
I WOULD really enjoy the ability to hopefully choose an option to spend X amount of tokens to get a skin I desired, because getting duplicates does suck (like I mean how many times did I REALLY want to end up with the fishbowl head... apparently 7 times). And if the cool down time during Morostide for this new zap is 6-7 days, then hey, at least I'd be able to get 1 or 2 skins I REALLY wanted - if I had the tokens to spare.

I guess for me, and maybe others, the idea of having a major price on it just makes it impossible for newer/broke users xD I was trying to think of a solution that was more related to those who actually did zap a ton would have to give something in return. Even if it isnt trading in skins, if that doesnt work for you guys, why does it have to be currency based.
I do love the having a limit set so then youd only get two skins, even one is reasonable.
Im not getting any ideas at the moment other than trading skins, maybe something will come to me. But Im actually really not loving having a price tag on it when its holiday related/more about random/chance for everyone not as based on tokens.
Also if nothing related to trading skins in to elucid ends up working, maybe make a way to hide skins in the wardrobe? I really dont even want to see a few that I now have XD
But wouldnt just having a flat price to get an exact skin make people not even bother zapping in the first place?
I for one would keep doing so until the end of moros if there were some trade system. As its still fun to get randoms but then if it so happens I miss one I want then trade. It could always be some different system, or it could be like 10 skins for 1. It doesnt even have to be trading, Im just not loving the idea of currency for it.
Even so, doesnt having a flat price to buy the skin you want just defeat the purpose of it being random in general? Then people wouldnt bother trying to zap and just spend a butt ton of tokens to buy only two.
My idea was more around the fact of 'zapped the whole time missed the wanted one' and not about collecting all skins. Sure the skin trading system may not be the best idea and Im trying to think of something better. But I reallllly feel like bringing currencies and set prices makes it even less related to chance than a trade off.
(Also ohgod 7 of that xD I got 5 of the leopard, and 5 of the sci fi alien, but more than that of any would have made me rage lol)
The large amount of tokens + the ability to only exact zap once or twice during the whole of Morostide keeps the skin system still as an rng. People will more than likely continue to random zap because of the fee and the wait time.
Trading in removes the random aspect of zapping because all you have to do is collect whatever 5 and trade it in for the one you want. It would have people just zapping the 5 times, trading in, and being done with it. That removes the whole purpose of random zapping.
I think it was a nice idea for people who are missing skins that they want, but for me I enjoy the collection and having random luck trying to complete it. It makes the skins still more unique, because not everyone is going to get the same thing and people who didn't get what they wanted may play around with different skins and realize they like a different one. I know in time most people's collections will be completed - but I'd feel more of a state of accomplishment if I achieved that by random.
And OMG I stopped zapping after I got it twice in a row. Soo done. I raged so hard.

I wish we had a trade with other users option. I dislike the Opal skin, but I kept getting it over and over, and never managed to get the Wildcat or the Navi that I desperately wanted, and I see users who wanted the opal, and users who got and dislike the wildcat.
I love the idea mentioned above of a expensive "re-calibration" especially If I don't have to wait a whole year for it. I saved up lots of Wiz tokens just for this event, and I'd love to spend them on that!
But I still think a way for users to swap skins would be be really cool.
This is a FABULOUS idea!!!! :O There are a number of skins that I have I don't want but there's still one that I really want to have yet and wasn't able to get. I love the trade idea!
"Super Expensive." Gee...that's really fair x_x Doesn't do much for people who are new or poor or what have you. Not to mention it would jack the price of tokens through the roof. It would make them practically unobtainable because people would buy them all just to use that feature. Any other tokens for sale, then, would be sold by users for astronomical and very unfair prices :/ I can just see it now - 15-20 mill or so for a single 1000 point token...or more XS

Wizard tokens are super easy even for newbies to achieve. You can get 350 for GA people and 250 for normal accounts per day. That means at the most it takes 4 days of quests to get 1000. 4 days of wizard quests for 1000 tokens. FREE TOKENS. Sure that would send the price of tokens up in user shops but you don't have to buy them from the shops.
sP is so easy to make on here and I don't understand why a lot of people are always afraid of spending it.

The fact of the matter is that it would encourage a lot of greed if a feature was introduced that required a massive amount of tokens. It would make users take other users for a ride with the inflation of token prices if this were to happen. I'm ignoring the fact that sP may be easier to earn here than on other sites. I'm thinking about the huge amount of sP that may be unfairly (very much so) charged by users for greed purposes just because of a feature that may require a lot of tokens :/ Just because you can make sP easily on here doesn't mean it's right or fair for users to jack prices up astronomically high on something like tokens just because of the so-called "supply and demand" due to a feature. Wouldn't that be considered a form of scamming?
A person thinks, "Oh! A new feature that requires a lot of tokens! I can make a HUGE profit selling mine! Oh look, there aren't any for sale! SCORE! I can sell mine for a huge markup and people will buy because they're dying to try this feature!"
If it's not considered scamming, it should be; just because they're trying to take advantage of other users in some way.

I already got the two skins I really wanted but I did sort of want the Nightmare one.
I'd be more likely to continue to use the zapper if I could trade off some of my skins for a certain one. Even to get back the ones I traded off and I'm not a "gotta collect all the skins" user or even will use them.
If we go to a spend through your nose for a skin you want then why in the world would I continue to zap? Pay once and done.

Personally, I'd rather spend through my belly button. It's more fun :P ahem o.o Anywhooo...I am in complete agreement with Shay. It'd kinda defeat the purpose of the zapper if you can just pay for what you want. Trading more skins for a single skin that you love makes a lot more sense and would make much better use of the zapper

Not so sure I like a "super expensive" option. I already spent several thousand tokens trying to get the skins I want. And now, because I was unlucky with the rng, I have to pay even more? I feel like that's kinda... Cruel. I don't mind paying more tokens, but I worry what "super expensive" means... Or how much time we will have to get the tokens. I am kinda low now from all the zapping, and it might take a while to save a lot up if it is really expensive. And if we aren't given that time to save up, we would have to buy from other users, which is when the issue has brought up would come into play.
I don't mind paying more. I just worry how outrageous the prices will be. Especially if it is tokens and not just sP.
There are hundreds of thousands of tokens in vaults, there are tokens in users inventories, there are a ton in user shops. There is the opportunity to get hundreds of them per day, and if we make something cost lots of tokens users will do more wizard quests. I'm not concerned about the price of tokens.
Sorry , I know that it sucks that some things on the site cost a lot of sP/time/effort but it's how games work. We make things that cost a lot so that people have to earn those tokens (or use their spent up ones) and keep playing. :)

I'm actually curious as to what the general subetan population would think of these suggestions (both trading in and paying for a skin, listing the potential price in tokens for the feature). The polls are never used and it would be nice if something such as this would be put in a poll and take it from there.
