I like having less minion-transformers in the Cash shop - but I agree that I still like my already purchased ones. If I already purchased the minions and transformed them will they now (soon) be fixed in the way they are? because I would hate to lose that for my beaky ones...
But I fully support making them more affordable/fair priced sine I can never afford to get all the transformers.

I really really extremely want:Thank goodness on not every transformable being changed. Probably should have said the transformable cash shop minions are going to be changed instead of being open ended to have users think it includes every transformable item.
I'm still going to be hit as I own this one, . I bought the three I own from the Hustler. I'll be losing the six other options from them. I like knowing that if I ever decide to use any of the Squibly wears I can just take one out of the TC, use it, then turn it back and replace.
I wouldn't have minded the whole, "they went on sale after I bought them". There's nothing different about the item other than being a bit cheaper. This is changing the whole item. :/

Aha! Clarification rules all! I don't think it was mentioned before that this would only apply to transformable minions.
Thank you for the clarifying which transformable items this would affect! Now...just to make sure - only the themed CS transformable minions are being fiddled with, yes? Double-checking because I'm tired XD
Now that its been clarified, its not so bad. I don't necessarily like that these two were thrown into the chance machine, but overall no where near as bad as it could have been. I much prefer the individual items being put into the CS rather than one minion to cover them all.
On the off-chance this change is moved to affect a greater circle of items, I do hope letting users split their item is seriously considered.
Does the Star Projector transform? Because I looked it up on Subetalodge and it doesn't mention anything about transforming...
Yeah having like the Autumn Unicorn items be individual... and the Yukisumi..etc... I liked that.. cuz I picked what I wanted only and they are used. It made more sense than Crowley, Beaky, Turking I have two Beaky items in my wardrobe, two Crowley's, Two Cheepilah, and Two Yaakov's..all bought individually cuz I didn't wanna mess with having to pull things out every time I wanted to use them..or wanted more than one feature... it was... not cheap. :/ So I see people's complaints, and they are valid. I understand the staff's reasoning too. The Clarification really does help, and it's what I thought they meant to begin with.
We are the ones who remember, the ones who see what was, and is, and will be.
Me~
[S]So I'm just supposed to know what items I have that I need to transform all over my account ....before the end of morostide
WHERE IS THE ANNOUNCEMENT???? Especially since I've spent real money on things... ex one. The Virgo boutique item... so I'm stuck with one skin :) base... I would have never bought it... Seriously I'm ok with 99% of what you guys do, but this is not ok... Can I get a refund please on everything I bought that transforms.... absolutely ridiculous, [/s]
....so just minion transforms are being changed?
Yes, only minion transformables! It's only the Baticus and Crowley for now! We'll give you guys a proper warning for all the others too. :)
Omgosh Thankyou, sorry for freaking out _
Aww, please no. I'm already feel like I'm being scammed out of one of my Crowley items. Please don't do this to more of my minion items.
Wasn't too upset just having to replace 1 Crowley item. That's manageable. But now you're saying I'd eventually have to buy 3 more hungry whales, another Cheepilah, and 4 more squiblys to reacquire what I already have bought and paid for?
Great for some people that the confusion is cleared up and that it isn't all transforming items, but to me even just the minions is still too much. A dick move is still a dick move even if you only do it to a select few.
Which is why I never would have paid 250 CSC for these things if it wasn't like I was getting multiple wearables for that price making them each effectively much more reasonably priced.
I understand wanting to lower the price for collectors, but does that price reduction need to come with ripping off people that purchased it before? What is so wrong with leaving the transforming option?
I'd be fine if you just re-released them at a lower price, but taking away the transforming option it's like I paid full price for multiple items, then you're suddenly taking all but one of them away with no compensation.
Simple price reduction ---> aww...I could have gotten this thing for cheaper, but it's not too bad because even if I could have gotten it for less if I waited, I still obviously felt the initial price was fair enough if I paid for it at the time.
Price reduction + removed transforming function ---> Not only are you devaluing my item, you're making it less functional and if I want to get back the functionality I'm losing I have to pay again? What the hell.
It seems like part of why you're doing this is because you feel the price was too high before...and so your solution is to take away some of what people overpaid for, and then make them pay even more if they want to get back what you're taking away? How does that help anyone?
If you're going to go through with this, PLEASE have some sort of splitting option to compensate people that already bought the items. If not splitting into all the options, at least let us pick 2 or 3? People shouldn't suddenly have to consider going to great expense to keep items they already own.
That's the point, though: the higher price was acceptable because you got access to multiple versions. You guys -always- said that if you buy multiple copies that is your prerogative, since you have access to all wears at the 250 CSC price.
Now you're saying "if you listened to that, sucks to be you".
And you've been offered other solutions that users obviously find more palatable. A discussion/consideration would show that you're at least considering, rather than 'we decided and we decided right, full stop'. Even clarifying that this aspect was discussed internally.... because right now I know you think you're explaining it/this isn't your intention, but it comes off a bit as repeating yourself while stuffing your ears.
Edit:
Why wouldn't that be an acceptable solution for these items? Because it's too many to list in the description? You could easily just host a little page on site and link to it. Yes hosting a page would be silly for every minion like this ever, but that's why you've already changed how you release these items going forward.
For a change precipitated by concern for people paying 'too much' for items, some consideration for the people who paid 'too much' only makes sense.
Edit 2:
Yeah, oops. Ariel said Star Projector in the news comment and I didn't think to double check that my memory was correct. I knew one of the star backgrounds did that, and it seemed reasonable that was it c:
We are looking into suggestions made on this thread for those who have already bought the items. We haven't decided on anything yet so we can only provide you with a clarification of what our original intent was with the news post note. As of right now, the items will be split up still but we are looking into ways of helping out users that already have the minion.
Awesome. The replies in the news comments and the thread up to this point were not giving that impression, at least for me. Reconsidering is always good. Even if the decision sticks, the consideration is important.
Just thought as I posted most of my feels on this in the news post I would at least add my +1 for just about everything here. Im VERY unhappy with this, and do hope that it isnt a trend/wont affect mc items that trpansform...ugh.
I get that its an extra few clicks and that bugs some but really...its an extra few clicks to have more than a single wear. I spent 250 thinking this would be how they stayed, I didnt buy it to then have it removed and have to choose a single item.
They arent making new transformkng minions. So that wont be a problem any more. But to just up and change something people spent real money on is kind of a shit way to do things. Especially those of us who do transform as we cant afford to buy every single new minion wear because irl funds.
It makes me wary to buy anything cs wise as what if they decid 'well we dont like how we did this a year ago so lets change it with no consideration to those who actually bought the item and focus on some noobs getting ripped off and people not wanting to click an extra step'
I hope that came out as I wanted it xD Not trying to say what your added isnt right, just that it seems the majority prefer some fix that isnt just removing. Plus recently Keith even said there would be a bit added to the wardrobe allowing transforming inside it. So that would take out any extra steps and keep the whole thing in place. So to go from that to 'well pick the one item out of five you want or its stuck that way' is just...bleh.
It reads, as if this was planned for more or less all the transformable items on Subeta. Absolutely unacceptable to steal from users! Just refrain from creating new ones and leave everything old be.
BEST SOLUTION
UNNECESSARY (we all constantly get f...ed over with prices due to re-releases changes in rarity and what have you) BUT ACCEPTABLE
NOT SO GOOD, because people could then sell all the parts they don't want. Yet of course better than losing them.
If the main issue is that users were getting confused and/or ripped off by buying a more expensive version of the transformable item from user shops, couldn't it just be changed so that only the base item can be sold/traded etc.? So you can sell the minion itself but not the wig, plushie, whatever. If you wanted to sell, you would need to transform it back into the minion first.
I am totally in favor of not making any more transformable items in the future, but I do find that just removing it is making it unneccessarily unfair to all users who bought transformable items in the intent to use several forms of it. I would rather keep already existing transformables onsite.
The suggested solution of giving people all possible items an item could transform into is too much imo - think about what the single items would be worth in the Cash Shop. It'd basically be gifting CSC to a randomly selected userbase, which in turn is unfair to everyone else. Letting users choose 2-3 items out of the pool of possible transformations would be very fair though - that would equal a 250-300 CSC worth, so people would get something for the money they paid.
I do favor 's suggestion though (and I think had the same idea in the news comments), which is to make every transformation except the original minion non tradeable. It would harm none of the users who already own it while solving the problem of uninformed users being ripped off, which is everything we want. It's just a brilliant idea. Confusion about how selling it works could be averted just like it is planned for these items right now: put a notice on the transformations saying that this was transformed from x and will be tradeable again if you transform it back.
Sadly though, said in the news comments that this isn't really doable right now. Is there a special reason for that, or are there technical difficulties or something?
by your quote here:
Does this include any transformations of the minion?
I would imagine it would affect all of the transformable versions of the minion which is why they can't do a no trade/sell option for them as it'd be the exact same item, transformed or not, as you wouldn't be able to sell/trade/gift the officially split version of the minion and its items. These items would have the exact same IDs or what have you and making the transformable versions No Trade would make the officially split versions No Trade due to the same coding on the items. Unless the different items are altered in some way in the newly split versions, having a no trade on the different items would make doing anything with any of the parts impossible.
I honestly feel as though any transformable minions should be left as is and not have any transformable minions in the future (which has already started happening with that sheep minion).
I agree with above, too:
I'm also wary about buying anything that might transform, now, or anything from the CS for that matter, in case something gets changed in a negative way for the original buyers just so that future buyers can have a less confusing version/way of buying things.

edit: and I just saw the clarification :p
still not happy with it, but so long as the wigs/wearables aren't touched I'll be happy
I don't understand why this can't be done to the minion items. Are you worried it will look clunky because they transform into more than two items? Honestly this seems like the best solution. I'm sure users won't mind a clunky description if they get to keep their items
