I'm 27 and my husband is 23 almost 24, we're a good four years apart and sometimes I wonder if we're compatible, cause we're so different cause he's more outgoing, social and I tend to be more private and reserved. However, we've been together for five years and is about to celebrate our two year wedding anniversary. We also have a beautiful son and are about to have a little girl, so in the end I don't think it really matters, age-wise. Just love and whatever issues you have, communicate and work them out, cause the longest relationships tend to be the ones that you never expected to ever work or last.

Well, I was older than my ex about 3 years. We were together for 2. But age wasn't the problem it was communication. 4 months after that was over I met my current boyfriend. He changed my life completely I really thought me and relationships were just done (and he actually felt the same way). But he changed my mind and I'm happy he did. He's 6.5 years older than me. And it's now almost been a year it's pretty exciting for me :) Honestly tho age is just a number as long as they make you happy and not a prick you have a good one. It's not just age either. Doesn't matter their size or height either. ^^

My boyfriend and I are the same as you. He's more outgoing and I'm more private but we work. And congrats on your 2 year wedding anniversary :)

Did people ever judge you if they asked how much older you are then him when you first started dating - I'm guessing he was 18 and you were 22? - and btw happy anniversary and congratulations! I'm very happy for you and your family !

Same question, when you were older than your ex, did anyone judge you when they asked and found out you were older? I'm just curious! Lol. - And I agree whole heartedly age, size, and height doesn't matter. It all matters on the person and the relationship! And also congratulations on your 1 year

I was the same, I was done with love and then I met my husband and it completely changed my mind. We've had our fair share of problems, being so different, but I honestly can't see myself with anyone else. Congrats on finding love again and thank you!

He was 19 and I was 23. He had lied and said he was 20 going on 21, but told me the truth a short while later. I thought he was about to tell me he was much younger! No, I think nobody really said anything about the age difference because I look like I'm his age, so when I tell them no I'm such and such age they are literally blown away surprised. My husband hates when I bring up the age difference, but I just feel OLD compared to him. Lol.

It's not, but I'm always like; I'm almost thirty and you're almost... 25? Lol. It's tough being the woman and the older one in the relationship.

I guess the big thing is letting age not be a factor, it shouldn't be that big unless your partner acts like they're 10.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I can't see myself with anyone else either. I believe if you love someone your problems will work yourself out cause you're not giving up on a relationship over the littlest thing or even the biggest thing.

His family no. Cause his dad is younger than his wife. Others not really the worst thing I had was someone really thought we were siblings... Exactly woot :D And thank you ^^ I'm shocked he's made it this far with me lol

I wish I was more outgoing but I just don't like people :/

He was 48 at the time and she's like 53 so not that younger. My grandmother actually is 10 years older then her husband. Well, it wasn't fun... Exactly I tolerate them that's it. Coworkers suck most of the time. I just get along with a lot of people but when I really like a person or if I met them online and we met in person I am very shy idk why. I think I can somewhat be myself at one of my jobs cause I know there's more crazier people I work with lol

My current boyfriend is 3 years older than me, so that's not a big deal. But I've dated guys who were 10 years older than me before and although my parents weren't too thrilled, dating older guys kind of just works for me. I'm a bit of an old soul. :)

Parents can't control your lives (even though some do lol). I'm glad you made decisions and went with your own happiness despite their non-approval. And everyone likes different thinks! Me personally, I don't think I'd ever date older/younger than 4-5 years for me.

Thanks! I like yours too. All of the men were older in those relationships minus my brother and his wife! She is older. :)

my dad is the oldest. i don't think it's necessary "liking someone" it's more like she likes my dad's money, lol.

my bf is 20 years older then me. Never bother either of us. Only when we hang out his bf and they reminisce (is that the correct word?) I cut in and say something like: "yeah fun times I was 3 then, loved kindergarten" :P which makes them laugh very hard. Cause people tend to forget after a while anyway.

An age difference is a bigger thing when you are younger then when you are both in university or working. As long as your life is relatively the same. As in: my bf and I now both go to work everyday. Before I went to uni and he to work. I have seen couples getting apart when they're lives were to different. They're life age instead of they're real age. Idk how to explain it really. hope this makes sense :P

[edit] one of my friends is attracted to younger guys (just a few years though) she broke up with her last bf because he was still studying and always out of cash. They never could do anything fun together and it became an issue. But I had no money when I was studying and my bf payed most of our stuff and it never was an issue for us.
