Now there was finally something that disturbed Kyar. He balked. "You lose people? Lose them where? I..." He paused, realizing that if they were going to be holding hands, he'd better make sure that he was at least holding the hand of someone cute. He extended his hands towards the women nearest him.

"How do I explain this...." He looked towards the sky for a second, then back to Kyar.

"Imagine that you were in a...what do you call it...web browser window? Yeah. Imagine that you were a bit of codeing. I Ctrl+X'ed you guys. I cut you from the code, saved you to a clipboard, and moved you over here. Unfortunately, her coding didn't stick, and when I tried to paste her here...." He because sad again. "...What's the term...she '404'ed'. Jean is gone, like she never existed, poor girl. It was painless, and instant. It happens sometimes. An anomaly's existence is sometimes purely linked to a universe, a coincidence that is only there because the universe exists." He said, looking up to the sky once more, as he waited.

She stiffened visibly as Rous said that people were lost. "How about you just keep those nasty bit of knowledge to yourself? I'd rather not know how close I was to dying just then." Lou growled before taking Kyar's hand, feeling a tad bit like a toddler, thrusting her hand out to the next nearest person. The explanation of how they were lost didn't help. She was regretting being really unique now.

"You have to abandon your fear of your mortality, Lou. You can no longer die. Well, that's a lie." He looked to her.

"Natural death can no longer find you. Disease, age, lack of oxygen, doesn't affect you anymore. Now, you can 'Die.' Of course, the process is definitely miserable, unless, of course, you get dome rocked. But you will wake up 'Here.' The only way you will permanently cease to exist, is at the hands of another Moderator. You have lots to learn, and you will learn quickly. That's why you have been chosen. Because you can learn."

Lou opened her mouth to object, the fear of dying is a natural instinct, but as he continued she shut her mouth. The new definition of dying was a little much to take in. Again she thought about making a comment, this time about learning, but let it go. She was a quick study usually, although learning about multiverses and what the groups job was was a little frightening. Her fear was making her grumpier than usual.

Kyar's hand trembled over Lou's, other still outstretched. It would have been one thing if Rous had just said "You're basically immortal now" as he could accept that the way he'd been accepting everything else, bemusedly, like in a dream. But no. It was real now. Maybe he wouldn't just cease to exist like Jean, but... "There's no Control Alt Delete?" he muttered under his breath.

Arin happened to be next to Kyar, so at least he got lucky in that sense. She takes his hand, as well as the hand of whoever was next to her, closing her eyes. Whatever happened next was up to fate

Alyse eagerly followed the mysterious man happily listening to him talk The images that were running through her head as he described kept a smile on her face. If only she were able to walk and draw at the same time, that’s what she’d be doing. Even despite the cold, art usually won. It was a weird experience however how, we’ll go with ‘influential’ Rous seemed to be with everyone else’s timing and electronics. No time was lost to them, even though she guessed it wouldn’t affect them any more anyhow, since he said it didn’t exist where they were going.

The little show that the city seemed to be putting on was very curious. If only everyone knew what was really happening. It grew quiet as the park cleared out, you could almost hear the snow landing on the ground. Those trees though, they looked like they were out of a storybook or a dream, so unassuming yet ever so drawing.

Her arms flew up to protect her face as the loud boom came their way. The shock blowning bits of her hair back showing signs that there was an affect. “Wow” She said softly dropping her arms seeing the doors.

Inside was fascinating, to say the least. “I think I’ll like it here” She smiled. Turning her attention back to Rous as he explained the loss and just plain not existing if you were lost. That’s a really heavy bit of information, makes things a bit more real in a sense, and shows just how unique this is. Like a child, she very carefully took his hand, and others. It sounded weird to chain up but figured it was going to be extremely helpful.

On the inside, Ira was more excited than he ever had been before. On the outside, he was fundamentally unimpressed. He was familiar with the idea of multiple universes and was so excited to be a part of the fact that it was true. When Rous mentioned their immortality, he wondered if this had always been a factor. He had been in a few dangerous situations as a corpsman, but always came out unscathed. When the time came to join hands, he took hold of the nearest person, Alyse, and held his other hand out for whoever was behind him. The idea of being erased was intimidating at first, but they were all there, and that was what mattered. He simply followed directions until they were taught how to do these things that moderators do.

"Nothing wrong with feeling a little queasy after what's about to happen. I blew chunks for a couple hours the first time. Having your existence torn to pieces, pulled across great distances, and thrown back together in an instant is a bit disorienting. Here we go!"

The smell of ozone filled the air around them, as a distant rumble of thunder suddenly crescendoed to a deafening roar. Multicolored lightning struck them, and they were gone, the lightning splintering through the sky.

Somewhere out 'there', the lightning struck the ground, and there the group stood. There was an office desk in front of them, with a man sitting behind it, his back turned to them. He was suited, like Rous. His long, grey hair blew in a non-existant breeze. He turned in his chair, showing an equally long, grey beard. His smile was just as charming as Rous', but his eyes were white, 'blind' in every conventional way.

"Rous'! Glad to see you! Are these the anomalies selected to become new Moderators?" His voice boomed, as he stood with his arms open. Rous smiled, as he waved. "Hello, One! Yes, yes, these are the ones I have chosen! They are going to need their suits!"

It's good that Rous didn't mind if they vomited after that...because that's exactly what Arin did. As soon as she was on solid ground again she keeled over, holding her ears in pain, and started vomiting. That took a few minutes. By the time she's done she's just kneeling there*

Kyar was not one to suffer easily from dizziness, vertigo, or any other type of motion sickness, so though he wobbled a bit uncertainly, he was well enough. He whipped a pack of tissues he kept in his pocket during winter. Even if he didn't have a cold, the cold temperature made his nose runny outside and that was no good. It was a crappy quality tissue, and a small pack, but it did its job well enough. He pulled out two and offered them to Arin. "You okay?" he asked softly, ignoring One for now. He'd given the room a quick glance to take a brief inventory of windows, doors, and objects around - although the word "suits" caught his attention. Him? In a nice suit? That would be fetching.

Arin stood up shakily, accepting the tissues "Y-yeah...I'm fine.....well...my outfit is kinda filthy now, but there isn't much you can really do about that, so I'm good...." She looked down at her clothes. The brown stain from earlier was now replaced with another stain....so much for the "Snow Princess" thing she had going....

Zeke immediately crouched, gripping his stomach tightly. Though he didn't quite puke, he did feel incredibly nauseous, like maybe even the smell of food would cause the balance to tip. He wasn't big on boats or planes, preferring to keep his feet firmly on the ground at all times for this exact reason. "Does anyone have any -urp!- crackers... or anything...?" he mumbled, figuring that no one would respond. Might as well ask anyway.

"Well, maybe we can get you something to change into," Kyar said, rising. He frowned at Zeke's question. "I got...tictacs?" he said, knowing full well that wasn't nearly the same thing.

Lou dropped her companion's hands and heaved up the remains of her breakfast. She had enough warning to do it behind the others so they wouldn't have to see it, although if they took a step back they might trod in it. She braced herself on her knees, her stomach still felt tight and crampy, she continued to stare at the ground rather than her surroundings. She didn't like the idea of having to wear a suit, her cafe apron was enough for her, but the idea of accidentally puking again forced her to keep her mouth shut.

Arin, having already gotten up, borrows the tissues from Kyar, and walks over to Lou, offering a hand, smiling silently. She'd decided that she should probably be as friendly with these people as she can be, just in case she has to spend extended periods of time with them in the future.

"Ugh... Tictacs, I'll take them..." Zeke muttered. At least they would help get the taste out of his mouth. His mind wandered to what Rous had said - suits? Would that really be necessary? He glanced down at himself; he didn't look the best in a suit, but maybe someone else would look worse...

As Arin stood there, offering the tissues to Lou, she suddenly had a moment of clarity. She'd cut school, which on it's own was bad enough, but on top of it she'd gone into a coffee shop on a whim, and when had then proceeded to follow a random stranger away from all known territory, along with a few other people. She had no way of getting home, no way of knowing whether Rous was even trustworthy or not, no way of defending herself if she needed to, and no idea what she was even going to be doing with this whole situation. On top of it all, an added risk of being literally ERASED from existence had just occurred to her. She suddenly grew extremely scared, extremely quickly. Shr drops the tissues, an expression of pure fear on her face. Her pupils dilate quite rapidly, and she gets pale as a sheet in a matter of seconds. She crouches in the corner, having a panic attack from all of this. She may nevervsee her friends or fdamily again....*
