Lou scowled, biting her tongue as the guy snapped at her, Get some from the bathroom she wanted to snap, not liking the guys tone. She didn't appreciate the guys who were snickering at the events, although she wasn't doing much better, trying to avoid acknowledging the events. She turned a full on icy glare at them before she swiped some of the paper towels from the sink and offered them to the girl. "Try blotting it out. It might help prevent stains. Ignore the jerks, they're probably drop-outs or something." she suggested before returning to her safe, friendly, non-aggressive register. "Today will not be a good day." she whispered under her breath.

Arin nodded, thanked Lou, and tried to dry herself off to little avail. There was now a large brown stain on the front of her white skirt, and the bottom half of her white shirt. She looked like she had taken a brown paintball to the lower gut. The guys sneak a picture.

[[I have been reacting. I told your character my name, and I acknowledged that you lead me off to the other seat, and the guys were responding to you. If I need to be clearer, I can be. ^_^

[[Oh, I forgot about the coat :P. She would need to take it off to try and dry herself anyways, so I guess it works out. Sorry about that, I'm a little tired.

((I'm not sure how well I fit into this one, actually. I can tweak Jean, but "normal" is not something I do well. We'll see.))

Jean set down her tea at the fuss and fracas, but it seemed there was already someone trying to help the unfortunate girl. No need to make her feel any worse than she was. A frown crossed her face at the taunts, and when the phone came out, she got to her feet. No sooner had the camera app clicked than her hand snatched it from the jerkwad's hand. "Excuse me, boys~" she purred at them, swiftly pressing a few buttons before the idiot had time to protest. She deleted the picture, added a number, and snapped a quick selfie before returning the phone.

"You should call sometime," she added, giving them a sweet smile but boiling inside. "You know." Her voice shifted from flirty to disgust in a moment. "If you ever want to man up and stop acting like childish punks." The number, of course, wasn't hers but instead that of a place that offered therapy. With that she returned to her table -- and her tea.

The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group

Suddenly, the door opened. And the moment the booted foot his the door frame, cell phone alarms, watch alarms simultaneously went off. All conversations, activities and perverted situation ceased. One by one, the crowd packed up their things and left. All that were left was the young clutz, The Corpman-turned-average young adult, a traveler, far from home, and a Barista, who was left by the manager, who turned the 'OPEN!' Sign to 'Out to lunch!'

The suited man glanced at his own beeping watch, a small grin crawling across his face as he reached down to turn it off, the big aviator sunglasses he wore not reflecting the light from the face of the watch. "Perfect timing, as usual!" He said matter-of-factly, running thin fingers through greying, mousey brown hair. He didn't look old enough to be greying, did he?

He picked a table in the middle of the café, hold his arms out as he sat in a chair, his tongue poking out of the side of his mouth ina look of goofy concentration.

Displeased with the chair he picked, he hopped up and rotated around the table, sitting the exact same way. He settled down, a pleased smile on his face as he let out an obnoxious "AHHHHHHH! There is the spot!" He said, looking around to those still left. He kicked out the chairs from where he sat, waving his arms "Gather 'round, please! Take a seat! We still have a /few/ more people to wait on. It takes them awhile to get here from where they live. I will start the meeting when they get here!" With that, he folded his hands on the table, and stared out the window, a small, pleasant smile on his face.

We'll look any man straight in his eyes and say "Kiss my Irish ass! ya better kiss my Irish ASS!"

*Arin stood up shakily and went over to sit down, being very careful as she does so as to not humiliate herself any further. She sits down directly across from the odd man, wiping her eyes, and trying her best not to look like a fool in front of him. His hair was actually rather pleasing to her, as was the rest of his form. She found that she was blushing when he started to talk. Was this what people call "love at first sight"? It must have been, because her heart was all aflutter, and all the other signs were clearer than day to everyone but herself.

(( well...I can try to participate, sure, but as mentioned in Jester's Legacy, it's a little harder for me to right now until I get my tablet back. I have no idea when that'll be...hrm, as for my character...))

The only thing Kyar really remembered about his dream was something about there only being one of him. Well, duh, of course there was only one of him! There could only be one man like himself! He yawned, stretched, dressed in a white shirt and jeans, brushed his always-messy brunette fluff, and headed out for his morning coffee. For a while now, he'd been going to Cool Beans - not for the coffee, it wasn't that great, and not for the scones, and not for the atmosphere. No. It was for the people who frequented it. Well, saying "people" wasn't really right. A certain kind of person. Amber eyes shimmered at the hopes of meeting the right girl. Hey, hadn't Cool Beans been mentioned in his dream? Maybe today was the day!

He poked in and strode up to the counter and flashed Lou his best smile. "Good morning, Lou! Looking gorgeous as always, eh? Can I have a usual, please? And maybe a smile, hm? That always wakes me up better than the coffee, you know."

OoC// better than nothing! Hope your tablet gets in soon, though, so you can participate to your full potential!

Rous watched as the young man walked in, looking like he literally just rolled out of bed, and checked his watch, the smile widening as he went back to staring out the window. "Right on schedule, /right/ /on/ /schedule/! Please, have a seat here!" He indicated the chair to his right, folding his hands once more on the table, waiting patiently for the others to arrive. He couldn't start without them! Not after all the work it took to imprint the thought of leaving at a certain time in all those by-standers heads!

We'll look any man straight in his eyes and say "Kiss my Irish ass! ya better kiss my Irish ASS!"

Alyse had woken up early after the eerie but rather inspiring dream. Getting a moment to paint before she headed out for the day. It left her jeans even more paint covered and splattered, it always added to the look she thought. The holes, the paint, the chance to wear fun tights under her favorite pants while it was cold. Today’s choice was a black and white stripe. The painting started to be a sort of mirror like object, that started to have some kinda galaxy print as the background.

Noting the time growing late, Alyse threw on an old well worn but warm blue and black plaid flannel over her tank top and pulled on the simple black knee high riding inspired boots. Her hair blonde choppy, and angled to her chin, just brushing the collar of her coat in the back. Something made her think it was time for her drawing class, so she threw on the large portfolio over her shoulder and grabbed the tool box she used for her pencils and such. But as always, even when running late, there was always time for coffee.

The Cool Bean was always the perfect in and out for the on the go college student. Pulling her freehand from her pocket she reached for the cold outer door not having noticed the out to lunch sign and the open light off. A little “Oh” just automatically slipped out of her lips as her bright blue eyes scanned around the nearly empty coffee shop, with the exception of the oddly gathering circle of people. In her four years in the city for school she had never seen it that empty. The young artist froze for a moment, logic told her to turn and walk out. A weird unexplained feeling told her to stay. There was something oddly familiar about the man, who was uncannily happy for the situation, sitting at what could be considered the head of the table. If a round table could have a head that is. And those people surrounding the table felt comfortable, like she had met them before or something, despite them being complete strangers. Feelings drove her feet to carefully step in more, out of the door way, towards the table.

(( as I told you earlier today, this one has me excited))

Ira was surprised when his phone went haywire. He was even more surprised to see the finely dressed man who entered at the same time. He felt like he knew the guy, and he had a strange familiarity. Like he had seen him in a dream. He sat down reluctantly beside the blonde girl. She had his white stag coat after all. Checking his phone, he realized the time printed over his background of a fire hovering over snow was getting close to his game time, but he couldn't bring himself to decide to leave. He felt like he /needed/ to be there. This guy had purpose. And seemed like he knew exactly what was going on. It sounded like something out of one of Ira's stories. He waited quietly for whatever was next, taking the time to size up the intense man before them.

A million thoughts were going through Arin's head at the moment, all of which were about the man across from her. This much was obvious to anyone looking at her for more than a split second. Her face is a deep red, and er eye movement rapid. It was kinda adorable, actually. She tries her best to look dignified, but that was rather hard, considering the large stain on her clothes, only just barely covered by the borrowed coat, not to mention her face was tearstreaked and her makeup was running down her face.

Kyar gave the man a weird look - did he know the guy? He wasn't a regular. He wanted his coffee and to complete his morning ritual flirting with Lou and then- Hey, where was everyone else? Hadn't there been people when he got here? No, now that he thought of it...he hadn't been paying much attention but there must have been some sort of ruckus. There was spilled coffee stains and that girl over there, a little too young for him (cursed jailbait) looked like she was probably related to the spill somehow. Must have all happened before he got here. The man did look familiar, though. He turned from the counter and glanced around for his favorite chair, dragging it over to the table a little ways from the others, flomping down in it. It occurred to him now that his ears were cold. He'd forgotten his winter hat. At least it looked like he'd be here a while. Not like he had anything important to do that day. He was supposed to be looking for a job, but he had a few interviews next week and he felt like giving it a break.

Lou offered Kyar a small smile, he was one of the regulars. "No promises on the quality." she teased him, a small trickle of panic going down her spine. Sally seemed to have stepped out for the moment, Lou would have to make the coffee herself. She'd given up awhile ago on trying to point out she didn't think she was pretty, much less gorgeous, Kyar always ignored it. She jumped, and then ducked when all of the alarms went off in the store. Where's the fire?! she thought, looking around the store wide-eyed. A man walked in at the same time. "Just great." she muttered. The man looked familiar, but so did a lot of people. She ignored him as she made Kyar's coffee, she didn't bother trying to make the cream have a pretty pattern like Sally could, it would just look pathetic. Then grabbed an orange scone from the case.

Before she could give Kyar his usual he sat down near the mysterious man. He seemed to have somehow cleared out the shop. "Don't forget to pay." she whispered to Kyar, handing him his order. Rather than perching on the arm of a chair she pulled up a chair next to him, the closed sign deterring other customers from coming in meant she could learn more about what was going on in the shop.

*Arin looked around nervously at all the new people, who were all considerably older than she was. She gulps a little, hoping that nothing bad happens to her in the course of the next few hours, which was entirely viable, considering the man had somehow cleared the room without even saying a word, not to mention the malfunctioning electronics that made her jump at least five feet...Whatever was to happen next would be interesting, and Arin knew this much already.

((Haven't seen Elfen Lied but I'm certain it looks great anyway XD))

"'Course not," said Kyar out of the corner of his mouth to Lou, "That wouldn't be a good way to remain your favorite customer." Well, that, and also stealing right now would be the worst mistake I could make. He took a sip of the coffee and began choke-coughing in surprise. It certainly was worse than usual. "You..make it hot," he said, trying to explain his spluttering with something other than taste. Today was an off day.
