Akela smiled and took a sip from her glass before wincing. "Ehh what is this? It's so bitter and.. blah. Here try it." She handed Veta the side of her glass that she hadn't drank from.

Vin listened to while he continued to dance. He then responded with a smile saying, "To be honest, I'm making things up as I go. I only really practiced for slower, more classical songs." His puffy sleeves got in the way some times, but Vin didn't really mind all that much. Things have been pretty fun so far. He hadn't tried the food yet, but everything else here was great, including the people such as the girl he was dancing with in front of him.

She hoped a professor wouldn't catch her with it and deduct points, but most of them were rather occupied with their dancing.

She tilted her head, attempting to comprehend what Rin had told her. "So, phones are like a floo network for muggles?" she asked, wishing she didn't sound too hopeless.

She turned toward Max and exclaimed, "Oh, you mean, did I come with a partner?" Elune blushed in reply to his question. "No, I didn't. I'm rather dreadful at couple's dancing, so it's probably for the better." She swayed lightly to the music.

Max laughed softly at Elune´s answer. "Sorry I didn´t mean to make you uncomfortable. My partner is ill that´s why I am alone here if you want we can dance to 1 song." He smiled at her and sipped at his drink.

Elune exclaimed. "I'm just rather shy around guys." She bit her lip and added, "That sounds like fun. But, er, don't mind me if I accidentally step on your feet."

Max extended his hand for a dance just as a new song titled "Time-Turner" began. They moved closer to the front of the stage, where firework sparks flew onto neighboring dancers.

She flushed as she stood next to Max. She wasn't sure how to dance to a song like this.

Max smiled. "Don´t worry about stepping on my feet." Max raised his brow to the song choice he was used to dance to really slow music. Carefully he placed one hand on Elunes shoulder and the other to her waist.

She was glad he was such a skilled dancer. It made her appear a little more adept. But her nerves were running high, and she spent much of the time staring at her feet or avoiding eye contact due to nerves.

She felt that the song was rather long. Maybe that was part of the "magic behind it," since time-turners could manipulate time. She tried to focus on calming herself and found that, behind her nerves, she was enjoying herself and was glad to be dancing with Max.

Max felt Elune uneasyness. "You can look at me if you want to." He tried to reassure her. "No need to be nervous." He added but he was really asking himself too the song was really long indeed.

"Both of my parents were in Slytherin. I really thought I'd end up in your house, but I guess the sorting hat had other plans." She waited as Aurora started up again, then she added loudly, "Are you Irish, by any chance? Your last name is O'Conner, right?"

They continued to dance, hovering in a circle in front of the stage.

Max looked at her interested. "Ohh ok well I think they were really surprised when you ended up in Ravenclaw. No I am not Irish I just took my godfathers last name he has Irish ancestors though. Why do you ask ??"

"They certainly were," Elune muttered. "They're still coming to terms with the fact that I'm not carrying on the Slytherin legacy." Elune scoffed at their wording, then shrugged it off.

"I'm just curious, plus, I was wondering if that was part of the strange accent Rin mentioned." She tried not to crack a smile at that. "Do you live with your godfather, then?"

"I really hope they´ll feel more comfortable around the fact that you are in Ravenclaw." He smiled at her and then looked confused. "Do I really have an accent ?? I mean I live in LA. And yeah I live with my godfather. Before that I´ve been in some foster homes." He tried to shrug off the memories and went on to ask Elune where she was from.

"I suppose your accent is rather American. Most people at Hogwarts have British dialects," she replied, wondering why she hadn't caught on to that before. "My family lives on a hill near Wiltshire. I can vaguely see Stonehenge from my window," she added that last bit with a smile.

Just then, the song ended. Elune let go of Max's hand, then realized that her stomach was churning from not eating dinner yet. She asked, "Do you want to go grab a bite of food before the ball is over?"

"Yeah I noticed I think that´s why some other pupils find my "accent" funny. Wow that sounds really awesome. I mean I am pretty far away from home. That´s why I asked about phones and stuff my godfather worries if I don´t call." He chuckled at that. Then he bowed in front of Elune and kissed her hand. "It was a pleasure to have danced with you I hope you enjoyed it too." He followed Elune to the banquet to grab something to eat.

"It was a great dance. Thank you." She stopped and asked Rin if she'd care to join them at a table.

Then, she walked toward the now crowded dinner platform and filled a plate with food. She sat down at a table and waved toward Beth (), who had just entered the room.

Judy smiles at Silver ( ) "Thanks so much for welcoming me, you look gorgeous, does my make-up look okay? I think my eyes leaked a bit?" Judy chatters nervously. Then she gives her friend a quick hug and says "Want to come over with me, I see some of my House mates?" as she heads over to where she sees and MG ( ) and some other .
