I would love if it also required wizard tokens because I am sitting over here with a stack over 353k without incentive to spend them.

Dude, resell that. There is not a single feature onsite, present or future, that will give you an incentive to spend them.

We're not lacking in features to use tokens. Token Shop, BHH, Oracle Shop, Vending, Zapper.

Vending prior to being nerfed was totally worth it which is why I stockpiled so much. Aside from BHH because I never catch it full, the other stuff has not even really dented my stockpile. I only just was able to use up 100k and that is 10 months in (Most to Vending and Token Shop). I bought my pile over a year ago. Token shop is only good when I catch it stocked. Vending is sucky and the zapper is good because I want experiment pets so it takes my sp too. But 15 tokens a zap is nothing to the pile.

Staff can't make features with people who have 300K of a currency in mind. You're pretty much a statistical outlier, just like people who have 2.5K+ quest points.

Yes, it sucks that there is no feature that can really dent your token hoard, but less than 1% of the site have a hoard this big. Tokens have plenty of uses. As I said, it sucks for you, but tokens sell very well and they don't need further inflation.

We don't really need a seventh way to get rid of tokens. I totally forgot the fairgrounds. Fairgrounds also work with tokens. We have six token sinks onsite, not five.

I'd like to see a lesser used currency used for payment for the feature (power crystals? these tokens from alchemy?) but absolutely not a currency that has many uses and has a stable value.

I totally understand what you are going at since I know I am an outlier, but what I am getting at is that I would like a permanent always available method for spending tokens. The BHH, Token Shop, and Oracle are random. Vending is limited, as is the zapper technically speaking. What I like about this decanter idea is that I can make stuff by throwing tokens into and it is not a guaranteed to give me an item. I LOVE the fact it can blow up in my face. Plus who doesn't like more quest and lore like things? If they were to make it where potions were also a chance at unlocking I would so blow through my stash if they price it right.Like the more "special" colors should require more bribing from the Oracle/Wizard/ Mage whatever magical figure you want to use.

I'm expecting this to have a time limit as well. The current decanter can only be played once an hour.

That would be useful to not crash elixirs value / cause hyperinflation on ingredients

I am fine with a time limit so long as these elixirs are tiered either by species or color requiring different amount of tokens. It is more permanent than the token shop which can go weeks unstocked. I have no idea about the BHH because I have never in all my years here seen an item. I totally forgot about the oracle shop but I am not sure restock rates there either. Zapping is also time limited but the charge per zap is nothing. Vending is a guaranteed 1k tokens.

I am down though for the power crystals idea. Part of me wishes I could go and frag all my tokens away.

The issues I have with this being yet-another-token-feature is that the average user doesn't have a token stockpile, or if they have a stockpile, it's less than 5K tokens.

Tokens are high right now, and token shop is actually getting restocked at least once a week. Here are the dates for the last ten restocks

Quote
october 2nd
september 23rd
september 17th
september 9th
august 29th
august 25th
august 18th
august 12th
august 5th
july 29th

It's pretty well maintained. But yeah, Token Shop is not a problem.

BHH could stand to restock more, yes, and Oracle Token Shop really does need a revamp, but yeah. I don't see the need for more token sinks.

So I've constantly been against the idea of taking elixirs out of shops, but that's because the suggestions I've seen so far about it have been "make it a drop down list and pay x price" which I feel takes away from the challenge of subeta. Restocking to me was a better alternative than click tadah! cause at least you could try to go buy the elixir. Not to mention as up above, some people collect these potions and elixirs, and to take them off site is bad to me.

That being said, I really like this idea of making it a quest or a brew. Because it's /not/ a click of the button like the other suggestions. You'd have to work for it. And if you want to collect, you can still brew or whatever to make the potions without having to use them. They'd still be in item form. I can get behind an idea like this because it would make subeta feel a little less like a click and done site and more of an actual thing to do in your free time that you can work on. So I am in support!

I don't want to read through all this, but perhaps they can just be retired in waves for months at a time. Certain pets available in fall, summer, etc. like the MC. It wouldn't require as much work to develop an entirely new system.

At first reading this, my knee jerk reaction was No way! Having started on Neo, I love that basic colorfills are cheap and easy here so that people can have a variety of pets/colors without having to dedicate too much time/currency. Partially because of the hard time I had on that site changing pets, and partially because I love that it means variety of pets overall in the Subeta world since anyone can easily change a pet. BUT...

I LOVE wrapping pet color changes around lore! A little effort makes it fun and it doesn't have to be expensive just because the method changes. And the elixirs themselves definitely don't need to disappear! They could either be the result of the quest, or a necessary ingredient in the quests. So that way the price rises but not by a ton so people who want them for treasure chests can still get them without spending a ridiculous amount.

Awesome ideas guys! <3

Seasonal retirings and unretirings are a chore for item admins. So many items to change rarity and check

I must admit, I did have an immediate image in my mind of an NPC/mini map type situation for this and it might be inspired by the dream cave in The BFG!
