I'm also going to put my vote in for the first book, I think. :) I think it's short enough that we can finish it in time.

I vote for the first book as well! Plus the illustrated edition comes out tomorrow, so perfect timing for those planning to buy it. :)

The first book sounds good! I need an excuse to listen to Jim Dale.

I wasn't aware of that edition. From the few released photos, it looks wonderful! Thanks for sharing that.

You're welcome! It really does look so pretty! I have to wait til this weekend to have the extra cash, but I'm definitely going to pick it up. Especially since we are going to reread the book! I hope they plan on releasing all 8 as illustrated editions! :o

I hope so too! I'm fairly certain Rowling mentioned she would release all of the books.

I probably should have waited but after seeing some of the new uploaded photos today, I just ordered mine. I'll have to wait a while to see it, as it's on back-order. xD Definitely let me know what you think when you get yours.

Yes! There is an article on Pottermore about it actually and the artist said that he is going to be doing all seven books.

I picked it up last night at Target. I couldn't wait! It is BEAUTIFUL. Like...above and beyond my expectations. I'm so excited to see what all the other books look like, and especially how they look as the characters grow up. The artist has such a unique idea of the world and characters and its just amazing. I loooove it.

Okay guys! It seems that we have a majority of votes for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, so that's where we're going to start! Feel free to start discussing.

It's not necessary to put anything behind spoilers since I'm sure most of us are re-reading the book rather than reading it for the first time. Please mention in your post what chapter your observations/questions/etc are from though! Or alternatively, let us know how far you are in the book so that we can keep track.

Happy reading!
